The Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Germanischan Military have announced that construction of a new Bismarck-class Battleship will begin shortly. From here on end, all Military Spending will be devoted to the effort. Preliminary estimates place the commissioning of the IMO Bismarck (In Memoriam Of the Bismarck) at 80 years away. In otherwords, four generations of Federation citizens will work on the construction of the new and glorious vessel. The Federation Council also requested funds from allies to help in the construction. As it stands, the Federation cannot afford to spend eighty years on this one project. If the ship is to be completed, funds and services will be required of allies.

Thank you very much

(Hey, for those who know about the Juumanistran-Federation war, this is the same class of "that thing can't be a ship")

We would like to note our vocal opposition to this effort and that, should this Neo Bismarck be determined a threat, it shall be dealt with accordingly.

Assuming that Juumanistra does not attack the HomeSystem, there shall be no threat posed to the Confederation by the presence of the FSS IMO Bismarck in Federation Space. However, should Juumanistra be considering an assault, you have been warned: We have rebuilt the fleet. The tally now stands at (including the Birmingham):

6 Heavy cruisers
3 Light cruisers
10 Destroyers
15 Cutters
20 Frigates
And construction has been nearly completed on a carrier.

(all stats will be posted on Storefront; Coming Soon. Oh, and they are NOT superships)

In fact, no Heavy Cruiser has a crew compliment of over 2,500 (as of this point in time)

The Holy Empire of Tomathria graciously donates 6.5 million construction workers and 250 billion Tonmas.

Thank you, Tomathria. We will dispatch the fleet and all shuttles to pick up your generous donation

Only problem is, it may take months to shuttle 6.5 million people across four light-years of space. Even at warp 9.99, It will take up to half a year for the ENTIRE fleet to transport that many people.

Randy took in the spectacular view of Atheos and its moon, Turricht. The glowing blue of the Ubernocht Ocean illuminated his entire visor. As his suit turned with another controlled burst from the standard impulse drive on his back, an enourmous skeleton ship came into his view.

The vessel was less than two percent completed, and work had been started a little over a year ago. A few deaths had caused the construction to fall behind a little, and at this rate, it would be another seventy-nine years before completion, even with almost 20% of the populous working on the ship, forging metal planks, making chips, conduits, and other systems, and thousands of other things at any given time.

Almost the entire fleet had been dispatched over a month ago to pick up a few million construction workers sent from the Holy Empire of Tomathria to assist in the construction of the IMO Bismarck. Randall shook his head to keep his mind from wandering.

He boosted his EV suit again toward the station. He had to oversee the construction of the main bridge structure, as well as the construction of deck 1 and deck –2 in section 401.

Randy neared the Starbase in synchronous orbit with the Shipyards. As he stepped onto the landing platform, the transport FSS Germanian Pride dropped out of warp less than a yard behind him. “FSS Germanian Pride, What the hell are you doing?” Randy shouted into his comm unit.

“This is the Germanian Pride, what were you doing in the shipping lanes? If you had gotten killed, it would have been your fault. That space is marked off-limits to anything smaller than a barge!”

As soon as that was done with, the ship’s shuttles began unloading crew onto the station.
A new system of transporting matter ship-to-ship had been built, but was still experimental. The Federation wasn’t about to use it on citizens of other nations, much less its own. After the Germanian Pride had been unloading for about a half-hour, the rest of the fleet began to drop out of warp near the stations. One frigate even had the nerve to attempt to pull into the system in Subspace. If it had missed, which was why it wasn’t used to travel short distances because it couldn’t be accurately handled, any number of catastrophes could have occurred. It could have plowed through the base, into the framework of the Bismarck, or into another ship.

Randy continued to walk down the corridors to his office. There was much to do, even though he would never see the ship launched. He was already forty five years old, and even though the average life-expectancy was about 110, when he died, there would still be about 14 years left. Anyway, he thought, it had to be finished.

Ooc: okay, assuming that RL day is 3 NS years, 28 RL days from now I will announce the commissioning of the Bismarck

If any nation wishes to aid in the construction in any way, the Federation would be enourmously grateful to that nation. Any nation which assists us will be given a discount at the storefront, which is nearly ready.

Mekanta, I assure you, we are quite trustworthy. Ask any nation that we have consorted with. We do desperately need help, as it is a massive undertaking for any nation to build a vessel the size of a city. And, we also believe that a great ship is in need of a great name and legacy, and Ronald Raegan was a great man who did great things for his country and his world. Therefore, we believe that it is only fitting that we name the vessel the IMO Raegan. We have honorable intentions, and no namesake of a great man will attack without provocation, commit any atrocity, or do anything that may degrade that name and legacy.

IMO Raegan was laid down at the Atheos Prime Shipyards.

Oh, and, Juumanistra, would your people really like to have thousands more die when a FULLY OPERATIONAL Bismarck-Class Battleship REFIT appears from around the hazy blue world of Atheos? We certainly would be able to counter a lot better your anti-matter charges and your HEAMTS. And this time, it wouldn't be a god-mod! Yay! All of the donations are ligitimate. I checked out the two nations that gave support. Oh, and about all the millions of workers in the skies above the Homeworld, it was chaos, and it took a long time to get them all there, but, anything's possible.

Only 62 more years. YAY!

Atheos (AH TEH OOS) floated around the Homestar silently, like a phantom in the night. Right now the Fleetyards, Shipyards, Starbases, and other complexes were on the dark side of the beautiful planet. From Berlinn the massive machinations in orbit were like stars in the sky. The Raegan could be seen as a small cone of light when one looke to the stars.

Yohanne turned from the sight. He faced his desk, and stood staring at the moonlight shining onto the white walls of his office. His term was up, and he would not be re-elected by the populus or the Council. He dropped into his over-sized high back grav-chair for the last time and leaned back to stare at the inlaid ceiling. Pictographs of the Landing and the great Exodus of the Ancients had been carved into the ceiling in marble hundreds of years ago.

He stood up, straightened his suit, and walked out of the office. He stepped instantly into the chaos that had reigned for the last two decades. The moniters and Holopanels displayed the construction of the Raegan, the orbital facilities, the Fleet, and the status of production on each Federated world. Yohanne continued down the ornate halls of the Government Tower. He came to a large room, hundreds of people hunched over consoles working away at logistics and the many other problems that had plauged the undertaking since the beginning.

He turned to the man that had followed him the entire time. "When will the carrier be completed?" He whispered.

"It will be completed within the year. Our plan will go through. The puppet will be elected. The people love him to much. Then we will simply wait until the Raegan is completed. Do not worry. Our medical technology will see you through until then."

"I certainly hope so." Yohanne sighed and shook his head.

Okay, today is the 12th (RL), and construction was announced the 5th(RL) so that means 8 days (RL). So, 8 x 3 = 24, so 24 years (NS). Only 56 years left. Of course, with all the new help, I believe that that number can decrease, as we are ahead of schedule, to maybe, oh, 78 years.
