Kisnesia announces today the launch of NationStates's most comprehensive program to move armies into the future. Kisnesian researchers, working dilligently, and with a $2.6 Trillion budget over 10 years, have developed systems to make soldiers smarter on the battlefield.

Kisnesia has long been known as a leader in computing technology, and our announcement today proves that we are still on the cutting edge of technology. (Technology links -

Our new system, which we call Battlefield-X, will equip every infantry soldier in a Battlefield-X - capable division with a bullet-proof PDA (using retina and voice-lock technology for security), and a headset with an infared and limited X-Ray vision eyepiece, that can also act as a eyeset computer terminal and respond to voice commands, or actions taken on the PDA. Soldiers locations are sent by the equipment, to mobile command stations, or to a satellite system soon to be launched, where it can be monitored by the division's command system.

Tiny cameras are mounted into these systems, and the data from them is fed back to the central systems, to be reviewed by trained intelligence analysts. Health monitors can estimate heartbeat and blood pressure of soldiers, also feeding this info back, and hopefully letting mission controllers know when a soldier is injured.

For Kisnesian allies, massive amounts of intelligence, from up-to-the minute satellite/reconnaisance photographs, even down to the details of building plans, are stored in dedicated servers at a secure location, and can be called on by mission commanders, in case a hitch develops in the original plan.

For nations not specifically allied with Kisnesia, they will still be given access to large amounts of intel (assuming said nation is not percieved as a security threat), and will be able to add their own, either to the overall database, or to their own server system, which will integrate into their overall system quickly and easily.

Each group of 25 or so soldiers will be given a bullet-proof laptop computer (again, with secure features) that has access to the same information, plus tracking abillities of that group's soldiers, and the abillity to communicate with any of the individual members instantaneously.

Armored vehicles, such as tanks, and aircraft, will be equipped with similar systems, to both improve accuracy of attacks, and to reduce friendly-fire incidents.

The rough cost per soldier is $10,000, plus $5000 per group of 25-50 soldiers for a centralized laptop. Vehicle implementations cost $12,000 per ground vehicle, and $15,000 per aircraft.

Server/satellite licenses cost $2.3 million per year, or a 10-year license for $20 million. The only time that this license would be revoked is if a war was undertaken by a client against Kisnesia or its obligatory allies (currently, only the IADF), and Kisnesia was forced to fight against the client. If Kisnesia has not declared war against a client, that client is assured by the full credit of the Kisnesian government that their license will not be revoked and the satellite system will still be in place for them.

Note that the local laptop systems will work, even if the satellite system goes down (loss of signal, or Kisnesia taking it down), and any information stored locally will be available to soldiers.

Interested nations may purchase in the following units/packages:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Infantry Unit: 1000 Soldiers, plus laptop control stations - $1.2 Million
Vehicle Unit: 500 Vehicles - $6 Million
Aircraft Unit: 200 Aircraft - $3 Million
Specialized Information Delivery Server - $500,000
Server License: 1 Year - $2.3 Million
Server License: 10 Year - $20 Million
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You must own a server license in order for these systems to work properly. By purchasing a server license, you give us the right to automatically charge you (with no notification to you) until the time at which your nation ceases to exist, or you specifically tell us to cancel your license.

We reserve the right to refuse to sell to any nation at any time for any reason. Nations with populations under 200 Million will not be sold licenses, but may purchase individual infantry unit packages.

Nations may place their orders for Battleground-X systems below.

We are looking for storefront partners who are in the vehicle or armaments businesses, to incorporate our systems into their vehicles. If interested, post below.

We've got a small, but growing ground unit storefront catering mainly to Soviet(and soon Chinese) and dated American hardware produced under domestic license, conversion packages, and a few domestically-created goodies. We've been mulling something like this; we believe taking a part in promoting this technology would enhance our own armed forces efficiency.

If your storefront would like to partner with us, let us know (post below or PM). We have sent out messages to a few storefront (not sure if we got to yours or not), and would be very interested in partnering with yours.
