...I just joined, and I honestly have no idea how to determine how many men/machines you can have in your army. Any information on how to determine this will be helpful. Please respond.

thats the Pipian calculator.

It is considered one of the best ways of determining your budget. the results there show how much money your country has in terms of military budget with reasonably high military spending. (About 10% of total Govt Budget).

In terms of manpower, somewhere between 1 and 5% of your pop. is considered acceptable, but the larger your army the less amount of money avaliable per man and so there is an inferiority of equipment and training.

As you get bigger, your army will grow. Dont try to start wars with people bigger than you . Be sensible and courteous, and you'll do well.

on another note, 10,000,000,000 is what you can spend a year. (Like..a day or 2 real life)

and about 3% of your population for men. remember, that total number of men isnt the number of machines, like .5% of 3% goes towards tank commanders, pilots, etc, and then about 1-2% goes to troops. any remainder needs to run the hospital trucks, tanker trucks, fuel planes, command trucks, mechanics etc.

1st get a GDP calculator, like this one (http://www.pipian.com/stuffforchat/gdpcalc.php?nation=Spratt)

Then look at your budget. Decide how much you want to spend on your military. 5-10% of your budget is good for beginners. (Times your total budget by .5 or .1 on a normal calculator)

Once you have the amount of money in your military budget, divide it in half to compensate for maintence, soldier's pay, etc.

The half remaining is the amount of money you have each fiscal year to buy new equipment.
