OOC: This is a Stargate RP where the Goa'uld system lords are invading Earth. Please do not post unless you have signed up at http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=146915&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 and have talked to me about your role. I will tell you whether you are involved in this particular thread or not.

Not far outside Sol, multiple hyperspace windows opened up, and half a dozen large ships emerged. Their main sections are golden pyramids, surrounded by an intricate, black hull. Without needing a pause to reoriented themselves, the six Goa'uld motherships set course directly for Earth.

There was a lot of clicking and pinging sounds coming from the general direction of the Command Jaffa but not much unusual with jumping.
"We are here my Lord, Sol stands before you. Your orders?" said the Command Jaffa.
Cronos replied "Has Lord Anubis arrived with us?"
"Yes, my lord" replied the Command Jaffa.
Cronos smiled "Are you picking up any enemy activity in this area?"
The Command Jaffa replied " No my Lord "
Cronos mused but Heracles interupted him "Surely the Tau'ri would leave something here my lord, in case we attacked"
"Yes, they may well have done" replied Cronos
"Send out a wing of Death Gliders to investigate in the meantime and get me Lord Anubis"
"Yes, my lord" replied Heracles and the Command Jaffa
Anubis' cowled robe melted into form in front of him.
"Lord Anubis, they maybe waiting for us. I have despatched Death Gliders to scout ahead. I propose we terrorise this pathetic planet to get the Tau'ri's attention"
"Heracles, make sure all Death Gliders, Alkeshs and Ha'taks are ready for combat at any second have them standing by weapons at the ready. If the Tau'ri are here they may attack at any time" barked Cronos.
As Heracles clanked off to do his Lord's bidding, Cronos turned his attention back to Anubis.
"What do you think?"

On board the CF destroyers, the atmosphere was tense. They knew the Goa'Uld were out there...somewhere. Unfournately, the 'famed' Rhinaran intelligence devices hadn't provided them with the enemy's location as of yet.
"Flight officer. Deploy a flight of fighters on a reconnisance mission. We need data on the enemy disposition, as well as their location. Do we have any recon fighters available?" Admiral Hayes said, onboard the CFV Tyrant, one of the four destroyers tapped for the defense of Earth.
"Neg. We can refit one of the Starfires with a sensor pod though, but it'll take up its hardpoint, and I wouldn't exactly want to trust my survival to those piddly pulse lasers on those things! I recommend that we escort it with at least one Shade, and two additional Starfires. That'll keep any curious glider pilots off the recon flight's back." Chief Flight Officer Bryant replied, thinking quickly.
"Make it so. We need that data!" Hayes replied.
OOC: There might be a nice fighter skirmish coming up, don't you think?

OOC: Check the Part III thread  I didn't want to double post onto here.
OOC: Eh? All I saw was that I was supposed to go after the Goa'Uld with Brandoniats. (I know that there are six of the H'Tak motherships, but I don't know exactly where they are. Plus, I needed a reason to have a small fighter skirmish.)
Go on then, I'll send some fighters out to do a reconasance(sp?) mission.http://www.nationstates.net/forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
Not far outside Sol, multiple hyperspace windows opened up, and half a dozen large ships emerged. Their main sections are golden pyramids, surrounded by an intricate, black hull. Without needing a pause to reoriented themselves, the six Goa'uld motherships set course directly for Earth.
Several Alarms started to go off in several work stations around the 5th Division Control Rooms in UMN branches in both Miltia and the space station Second Miltia. The alarms had triggered due to a disturbance and unidentified objects in several sectors in and around the solar system. While many officers continued to monitor and record the progress of these objects, which they now concluded to be the Goa'uld ships, various other officers forwarded the ever changing coordinates to the T.S.C.C. In the T.S.C.C., many of the operators were taking this information and redirecting hyperspace jumps away from the immediate area around the received coordinates.
Generals Ambrose, General Augustine, Fleet Admiral Hajime, 2nd Fleet Admiral White, and General Livio met together inside the Strategic Military Command Room inside the U.M.N.C.C. in Miltia (Strategic Military Command is also called the 10th Division of the UMN. This division only goes into action during times of crisis and is not known by the public). Here they discuss what actions need to be taken.
Ambrose: I far miscalculated the size of their attack force...We have just received word that several hundred more Goa'uld ships have just entered the opposite side of the solar system...
White: Pincer attack?
Ambrose: Exactly...A third group of Goa'uld ships is currently engaged with the space forces of our neighboring countries...And...I believe we are unable to provide any support for them...Augustine...Tell them why...
Augustine: We cannot provide any support due to the fact that the majority of our fleet are in the docks getting their scheduled system upgrades...And the forces we have, that are currently space-worthy...Would not stand a chance and would be decimated instantly...
Livio: I told you...We should have gone for the staggered updating plan I proposed months ago...
Augustine: I believe that this isn't the right time to bring that subject up right now...Now...As I was saying...Since the fleet is not ready...I believe that we should now concentrating the entirety of our forces for the defence of Earth in Earth orbit...By engaging them any farther outside of the reach of our logistical support teams would render them helpless...
Ambrose: And by keeping our fleet closer to Earth...We are more able to concentrate the bulk of the firepower of our vessels and hopefully weaken the Goa'uld ships and their transports enough so that when they inevitablly reach the ground...They will hopefully be weakened and can be taken out with greater ease...
White: But what about Second Miltia...The space station has got to be in the way of the invading fleet?
Ambrose: I know...And the Durandal is still in the docks...So we have no way of moving Second Miltia...
White: But do you know when the Durandal will be finished with its upgrades?
Augustine: I believe that they still need about more or less a week to finish upgrades...
White: But the Goa'uld might have arrived by then...There should be some way to speed up the process...
Augustine: I don't know...
Livio: We should first try to get the engines and logic-drives up and running...So we can try to dock the Durandal with Second Miltia...Once docked...We should have no problem moving the station...And I believe Second Miltia should have the equipment to finish up the upgrades on the Durandal...
Augustine: But it will still take days to finish upgrading the logic-drive...
Livio: Just get the technicians to work overtime...It is imperative that we get that colony out of the way...
Augustine: I know...But they are already working 20 hour shifts! Half the work force is exhausted and are incapable or continuing work!
Livio: Then get help from the corporations...I know they should have the work force to deal with a ship like this...
Ambrose: But you do know that we CANNOT let any non-governmental organiztion, except Vector Industries, be involved with any of our military forces and equipment...
Livio: We should make just one exception just for this situation!
Augustine: Quiet...How about this...We redirect some of the people working on the other vessels to work on the Durandal...Just to get the logic-drives up and running...
Livio: Well...That sounds fine to me...
Augustine: But that means keeping other parts of the fleet derelict at the docks...
Livio: As long as we save the station...There are currently millions of men women and children on Second Miltia at this very moment...We must do what we can to ensure the safety of these people...We can't risk the lives of these people when we clearly know that there is a way to save them...But then we choose not to save them...If we don't get the Durandal up and running...It would be as if we were forfeiting the lives of the people on Second Miltia when the Goa'uld fleet arrives...
Ambrose: I agree with Livio...It would just be easier to revert some of our people working on the other ships to work on the Durandal...
Augustine: Fine...I agree...
White: Same here...
Ambrose: Well then...That settles it for now...
Livio: I will go and inform the docks...Good day gentlemen...
Livio, White, and Hajime walk out of the room
Ambrose: Augustine...Were you really serious about not giving any support to Second Miltia?
Augustine: Of course not...I was just thinking about some alternative methods...But one question...Where would we direct Second Miltia to so that they would be out of harm's way...
Ambrose: I don't know...We'll just have to place it in some part of the solar system where we can hide it...
Augustine: Hmmm...I got an idea...Inside the asteroid belt...
Ambrose: That could work...Well...Go hurry and plot the navigational course...I will meet you at the Chancellory this afternoon...
Augustine: Sure thing...
Augustine leaves the room, while Ambrose sits back on chair by the wall and finishes up looking over the latest data collected on the Goa'uld.
OOC: a nice giant land urban battle would be nice...land the Goa'uld in a big city like New York or Los Angeles...

'Heracles, dispatch the 2 Alkesh's to get the Tau'ri's attention send a small Death glider escort' ordered Cronos
'Have the Scouts reported any Tau'ri presence?' He asked the Command Jaffa
'They have reported discrepancies in sensor readings and there is unrecognisable sillouettes. Also my Lord, we are picking up lots of communications chatter, much increased since we arrived. I think they know we are here. Also, lots of outgoing signals to forces, i think they are calling in forces for their protection.' replied the Command Jaffa voicing his expert opinion to his God as was encouraged when one commanded the personal Ha'tak of Cronos.
Cronos mused. The plan was falling into place, the Tau'ri would despatch forces to protect against his own and Anubis' fleets probably with their better ships since only they stood a chance against Anubis.
'Orders Lord?' asked Heracles stealing a glance at Katara.
'Proceed with the bombing, man all Death Gliders be ready to launch at ANY moment. Order all other ships to do the same and to have scanners at maximum with a full sensor spectrum. All Jaffa to be ready to repel any boarding attacks and fill the Troop transport with warriors fully kitted out with Staff weapons and Zat's.' order Cronos
The Command Jaffa began to relay the orders, whilst Heracles clanked out to prepare his Jaffa in a defensive pattern around the Ha'tak and to ready the landing/boarding units.
Cronos relaxed a bit and was treated to a massage by Katara. He sipped some wine and said 'Now the Tau'ri will pay for my lost ships!'
'Tell Lord Anubis of the findings and assure him we are ready, let us destory these fools once a for all!'

Fleet Commander McDuff had a lot of problems, the least of which wasn't the Goa'uld.
"Dispatch Akagi flight, intercept those Motherships, right now!"
On screen, the 6 pyramid-shaped vessels traveled at high speed towards Earth. On a smaller display beside his left arm, a tactical program outlined the weaknesses of the ships. Not many. However, all indications pointed to their ventral surfaces being woefully unarmed compared to the dorsal. In light of this, all the Federation attacks would be aimed at the ventral surface. Also, the center pyramid structure could be detached to make a landing. That meant the connections between it and the outer sections might not be as strong as the rest of the armor. It wasn't much, but it was a chance.
_________________________________________________________
A few minutes later, the Akiras arrived within sight of the Motherships. Energy blasts streaked out from the Goa'uld monsters, but a lot of it went wild. The Akiras would wait to close range, and carve them up phasers. Captain Marcus, of the Akagi, was trembling in his chair.
"Tactical, full spread! Fire!!!"
From each of the ship's 15 torpedo launchers, a shimmering missile streaked out. Most were a crimson gold glow, photon torpedoes, but four of the torpedoes were special. They glowed a brilliant white. Quantum torpedoes, with nearly twice the yield of the photon torpedo. Matter and anitmatter were mixed in their warheads, just waiting to come into contact for a rather large bang. 26 isotons for the photons, and 52 for the quantums, specifically.

There were all sorts of alarms going off on the control pad as the Command Jaffa sought to control what was going on.
'Several Tau'ri vessels on approach, my lord, they are firing laser based weaponry at us, but it is not having any effect for the moment. Also many torpedo weapons coming this way. Orders?'
'Launch all Death Gliders, attack formations to destroy that torpedo spread and harass those vessels'
'Launch the remaining Alkesh and send an additional wing (OOC: Three Death gliders) to protect it and the others, tell them to attack Sol now, also the troop ship. Get it ready to leave'
'Yes, sire' replied the Command Jaffa
'Fire all main guns at the ships when they come within effective range, give us a preliminary scan of their ships lets see where to hit these impudent fools'
'They will be in firing range in seconds, sire, Firing Solution to the weakest points in the Tau'ri ships is ready'
'Die now... Fools' barked Cronos 'Fire'
Pulses of laser fire streaked out from the three Ha'tak vessels towards the Tau'ri ships... as Death Gliders swarmed out of the Ha'tak's (OOC: 62 from the Ha'taks, 3 from the Scouting party towards the attacking vessels flank and 9 heading with 3 Alkesh's towards Sol itself) and the 3 Alkeshs and their escorts thundering towards Sol...

OOC: FYI, phasers are plasma based, not laser. They are actually fairly close to the staff weapons...
"Alright, phasers aren't doing anything to them. Limit phasers to point defence, target the smaller vessels. All ships, full spread on that medium vessel, fi-"His voice was cut off by the impact of an energy round, throwing off gouts of sparks from the EPS conduits.
"Back us off, now!! Try to get a feel for those motherships maximum range. Right, all phasers, fire on those fighters. Torpedoes on the bomber. On my mark, fire!"
The ship shuddered again as the Regina, Akagi's sister ship, has it's nacelle blown apart in a cloud of highly charged plasma. It trailed a stream of this hot gas for a while, before the emergency cut-offs kicked in. Several dozen torpedoes streaked for the Al'Kesh, mere seconds from impact, as the phasers raked across the swarms of Gliders.
"Prepare to deploy our own fighters. I want close support, intercept on their fighters. Warn the defenders. They've got 3 Al'Kesh and a whole lot of Gliders inbound. They'd better lay out the welcome mat."
Sir, the attack has begun.
Good, send out the deathgliders. (75 deathgliders)

There was a large flash of light as one of the torpedo's hit the Ha'tak on the left. After a few seconds it died away leaving the Ha'tak without quite a portion of its Pyramid.
Cronos cursed under his breath, although the Ha'tak was still operational and quite capable of fighting that would have opened up an easy way for enemy fighters to hurt the otherwise hard to damage Ha'tak's.
'Keep firing, kill the Tau'ri dogs... i want them killed or broken at my feet before this is over!' he barked
The Ha'tak's kept firing wave up wave of pulses at the Tau'ri vessels it was very obvious the Tau'ri were having as nasty a time if not worse as Cronos' Ha'tak's.
The Ha'taks were fortunatly quite manuverable for a ship of their size and thus had been able to avoid the remaining torpedo's. But the Death Gliders were not quite doing so well... they were superb interceptors and groud attack craft but were not built to take on capital ships. The wings were wheeling and blasting away at enemy fighters and occasionally strafing the Capital ships but they had lost several of their number already. However the scout party was circling in behind the Tau'ri ships and trying to find the weakness in their engines ready to disable them.
The Alkeshs and their guardian's thundered on towards Sol... soon they would in a position to dive and attack and cause utter destruction...
The Scout party of Death Gliders scanned the Tau'ri vessels. There... that was the engines and they weren't exactly well protected in comparison to the rest of the ship, quite pentrable to a Death Gliders weapons. With a silent command the Death gliders swept in behind and began a long strafing run hitting the same places over and over. Then as they pulled up one of the wingmen went down exploding in a fireball close to one of the Tau'ri vessels.
Cronos knew the plan was working, the Tau'ri vessels were too bothered with him let alone Anubis... and Anubis was circling like a carrion waiting to kill... soon it would be time...

The fleet, again at maximum warp pushed toward the other defenders.
"Sir...large enemy fleet opening fire on the Brandoniats fleet" Alarmed the tactical officer
"Already?" Harris thought quickly. "Lay in a course to the Brandoniats fleet; I am not going to let them get stuck with the spearhead of the invasion alone"
"Aye, course redirected" Announced the helm officer
"Tactical scan. Red alert, all ships and crew, prepare for combat"
The lighting through the entire fleet turned a deep red and all crew members prepared for a bording party
"Fireing range in 30 seconds, sir" Said the tactical and ops officers at the same time
"Drop out of warp, ready ion cannons and photons" Half yelled Harris
"Aye"
"Light em up" Harris quickly said through clenched teeth.
Twelve photon torpedos sprang out of their bays from both Stormkeepers and streaked toward the bow of the closest enemy mother ship, followed by two blue balls from the ion cannon. The Stingrays came in and out of cloak, swarming the mother ship and letting out an occasional phaser burst to confuse the enemy.

Despite the small victory achieved in blowing up a chunk of a pyramid, aboard the Akagi, things were hectic. They were barely holding their own against the motherships, and they were taking damage.
"Sir, Regina is losing power to her engines!"
"Damn, have Thunderchild take her under tow, head for repairs at the NG shipyards. But before they go, have them dump every last torpedo they've got at those damn Ha'Taks."
Outside, the Thunderchild maneuvered above and ahead of her wounded sister. A blue beam sprang out from a hull emitter, and pulled Regina closer, while the entire time, both ships fired off volleys of torpodoes. Then together, the two ships jumped to warp in system.
Then it hit him.
"Tactical, that Al'Kesh, how hard would it be to disable her engines?"
"It doesn't look too difficult sir. The engine are very exposed. Why?"
"I've got a plan. Ops, Mr. Anderson, prepare the tractor beam. Target that Al'Kesh. Helm, put the Al'Kesh between us and the Mothership."
"Aye sir, maneuvering now."
The spaceframe groaned as the ship moved at a quarter of the speed of light, maximum impulse. It eased into place on the far side of the Goa'uld bomber.
"Tactical, on my mark, disable her engines and lock on the tractor beam. Vent the warp plasma, make it look like we're wounded. Hopefully that'll hide the tractor beam."
The instant the medium bomber turned away from the Federation ship, words flew from the captain's mouth.
"Mark!"
Amber phaser beams crossed the vacuum, and one by one, the engines flickered out, sending the Al'Kesh adrift. A moment later, the tractor beam locked on, slowing, then stopping the bomber.
"Tactical, phasers back to point defence, plot all torpedo firing solutions on the Ha'Tak, arcing around the Al'Kesh."
"Aye sir, courses plotted"
"On my word, give me full impulse, hold that ship in front of us. Close slowly to optimum torp range, emergency fire all tubes. Everything we've got. Once torpedoes are exhausted, hold course. Ram their own bomber down their throats."
With a look of glee, the helm and tactical officer answered in unison.
"Aye aye sir!"

OOC: Sorry for being late, but I've had a lot going on recently.
"Commander! We're recieving telemetry from the Rhinarans. -Finally-. Uh...Looks like there is a small Goa'uld fleet duking it out with the Brandoniats. The Rhinarans are telling us to support them!" The sensor operator announced, hoping to curry favor with the Commander.
"Send an affirmative signal, and order a tactical quasi-space jump. I want us right outside of the battle. From there, we'll swoop in and kick some Goa'uld ass!" The commander said, after thinking for a moment.
"Aye sir!" the bridge officers called out. There was a very distinct shaking as the four destroyer's Xenium implosion reactors finished charging. Within seconds, they focused all that energy into tearing a temporary hole in space. The four ships were engulfed in an all pervading green light. Three minutes elapsed before the ships emerged from the strange alternate dimension, although to the crew it appeared as though only moments had passed.
"Allignment confirmed. We're here, Commander. Detecting Goa'Uld vessels. They're sparring with the smaller, but more manouverable Brandoniats vessels." The sensor operator said, gaining the Commander's full attention for a brief moment.
"Tell the fleet to pick their targets and engage! Take us after the leader! Open fire!" The Commander barked over the chaos.
Eight monsterous plasma beams raked out through the inky blackness of space, seeking the lead Goa'uld mothership. They were soon joined by twelve heavy particle bursts, the ship's passive sensors automatically modifying the beam to be as effective as possible against Goa'uld shields.
The heavy railguns onboard the destroyer were kept in reserve, for when the lead H'Tak's shields were down.
"Your move..." the Commander said quietly, to himself.
OOC: have the Goa'uld landed on Earth yet?
While various Earth space forces battle the Goa'uld in space, chaos is erupting in various parts of the globe. General Ambrose sits at his desk reading the day's news articles and is awestruck at what he reads.
Just a few hours ago, it was publically made known that a large fleet of hostile alien warships have surrounded Earth...
Fresh out of a sci-fi film, aliens attack. The Earth is currently under the pressure of an alien invasion...
Invasion on the homefront. The strange sightings of unidentified flying objects have been recently confirmed by national governments around the world to be alien invaders called the Goa'uld. But the question that we bring up today is: Why the people of -Noir-, out of all the other nations on Earth, were the last to hear this information?"
Panic sweeps the world as news of the Goa'uld invasion leaks out into the public. Around the world several thousands of New-Age cultists take to the streets in waves to protest against the recent attacks by many of our neighboring countries against their "savior", the Goa'uld...
Ambrose turned off his PC in shock of what he was reading. Ambrose stood up and paced around his room nervously.
Ambrose: How the hell did this get out!?!? Shoot...
Ambrose went back to his desk and picked up the UNP and called the Colonel Campbell, in the UMN
Campbell: Yes? Campbell speaking...
Ambrose: Have you read the papers today!?!?
Campbell: No I haven't...Seeing as my job also involves getting the information that gets put in our news...I do not see the need to read it...
Ambrose: Campbell...I'm serious...Go check...
Campbell pulled up Internet Explorer and checked the news section. His heart jumped several beats once he saw this. His calmness suddenly changed into panic
Campbell: Wha...How...Who!?!?
Ambrose: I know...I emailed several administrators in the Censorship and Journalism Departments...They said that they have no idea how this information got out into the public...And we both know that our systems monitor all external communications that are capable of entering -Noir-...
Campbell: Someone must have leaked this information to the public...But...Well...Never mind who done it...The public knowns...We should just go out and tell them...We need to give them some instructions on what to do...
Ambrose: I've already drafted up some resolutions to provide to the senate...The recent plans we discussed about, a few days ago...Have been under-the-table actions...Now that the public knows...We better go bring this up with the senate...
Campbell: Send me the stuff when you are finished...I want to read it over...Then i'll send it to the appropriate people...
Ambrose: 'k...And...How is the progress on the Durandal and Second Miltia going?
Campbell: The Durandal has already left the docks and is enroute to Second Miltia...Thankfully the fighting hasn't reached the sector...
Ambrose: Good...Inform me when they have left the sector and have reached a save distance away from Earth...
Campbell: Affirmative...
Ambrose: Also...Take whatever measures to ensure the safety of our homeland...Mobilize the National Guard...We need to fortify the Capital immediately...
Campbell: Would 10th and 11th Divisions work? They should still be mobilzed, considering they just got back to -Noir- from their war games...
Ambrose: Anything...Just get -Noir- and its citizens safe from imminent invasion.
Campbell: I'll get this information to 10th Division...
Both men hang up their phones. -Noir- prepares to mobilize its forces in preparation of the Goa'uld's ground invasion
OOC: almost finished with finals...just 2 more for tomorrow the 9th...Latin II and Church History finals...

The fleet disengaged there cloaks and moved right into the fray shooting at all enemy ships.

"Destroy the tau'ri scum now!"
"Yes, lord Sokar!"
And with that, 3 Ha'taks, and 3 Al'kesh decloaked near the human fleet, the Ha'taks fired on the capital ships while pumping out 75 Deathgliders, the Al'kesh went after the damaged ships, strafing them with bombs. The Gliders headed after any human fighters.

OOC: Great, now I'm outnumbered 3 to 1. How's this work? Oh, BTW, I sent my severely damaged ships off to the NG shipyards. Did you intercept them? Kinda hard when your top speed is only 10C. And when's TMG going to post his reaction to my "unusual" tactics?
"Damage report, engineering?" Requested Harris.
"Minimal to fleet, sir...our shields down to 72%"
"What damage have we done to the enemy, tactical?"
"Minimal as well, sir"
The commander leaned toward Harris "Sir, I advise you to give the command get back on course...we have done enough damage here"
"Agreed" Haris said quickly "Helm, resume course to the other defenders. Maximum warp"
"Aye, engaging warp now"
The fleet turned about hard and cointinued toward the others.

OOC: Sorry about the lateness of my posting work has been horrendous bloody Merchant Banks :P
Lord Cronos watched as the damaged Ha'tak, which be caught with its pants down so to speak blew up in spectacular fashion as the Tau'ri fleet arrived with a counter punch and the original fleet caught it heading towards the disabled Alkesh trying to deal with whatever had happened.
Cronos swore a blood oath he would get revenge for that.
'My Lord, Lord Sokar has just decloaked and is moving on the flank and Lord Anubis moves from the other" said the Jaffa with a slight bit of eleation in his voice.
"Good, keep firing i want them to bow before me" replied Cronos
"Lord, the Alkesh are heading towards the nearest occupied planet as you have ordered (which incidentaly is Earth i believe anyone?)" replied the Jaffa.
"Show the Tau'ri what fear looks like" smiled Cronos
"My Lord, the Tau'ri ship is pulling the disabled Tau'ri ship back" said the Jaffa again with a slight eleation about his voice.
"Instruct the Death Gliders to concentrate on those two, we will deal with this last ship. Also would be so kind as to request Lord's Sokar and Anubis get involved with this damn battle, if they want the Tau'ri dead of course" order Cronos.
Death Gliders swooped around the retreating ships strafeing them at every opportunity firing if possible at the ships weaponry and engines to try and cut them down to size where they could be dealt with by boarding Jaffa.
The two remaining Ha'tak's closed in on the remaining Tau'ri whilst Anubis and Sokar moved to deal with the newly arrived others. Blasts of fire were now being exchanged in copious amounts... the Tau'ri's weapons were having an effect at this range however the damage was being kept well under control by the ships Jaffa.
The Alkesh recieved the order to attack and dropped down with their escort and began bombing and strafeing the city causing huge damage. You could see the Tau'ri running in the streets to get away or get so dismal protection from the hugely powerful Alkesh and the nimble Death Gliders. Fire from the Tau'ri hit the Alkesh's but with no discernable effect for the Alkesh was hugely armoured and had very few discernable weaknesses when not opposed in the air or space.

OOC: Yes, it is. It got hit by your ram and another emerging fleets fire at the same time... so i think it's sorta dead.

"Sir, Ha'Tak destroyed. But there are a total of 5 others inbound."
"I believe it's time for our strategic withdrawal. Helm, set course for the NG shipyards, maximum warp. Communications, send a message, let them know we're on our way. Helm, engage."
The three remaining Federation starships turned towards Mars, and stretched into infinity. On their way to be repaired and return to the fight.
Tag, I like to see how this turns out

In the crowded Northrop Grumman shipyards, the five Akiras of Akagi flight were hooked up with all manner of connections. Some were transferring fuel aboard, others torpedoes, and yet others replacing the casualties. In another berth, Regina was having her nacelle replaced, it being blown of by the Goa'uld. All the ships looks horribly scarred as the workbees floated around, replacing hull panels and blown phaser arrays.
