In a sudden series of events the military has jumped in readiness from Standby to Combat Preparation. Activities by branch are outlined here:
Air Force: Bombers have been loaded with combat munitions and been placed on 6 Hour Notice. Eight interceptor wings have been grouped in Dublin while seven have been likewise grouped in Helsinki.
Navy: The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Fleets have begun intensive naval patrols. At the same time the 4th, 5th, and 6th Fleets are steaming south, the Navy says that they have orders to join the UnAPS patrols that are guarding against pirate attacks. Finally the entirety of the 1st Assault Fleet is being grouped in Stockholm. There are also two rumors that have yet to be substantiated: The first is that all reserve submarines are being taken out of mothballs and the second is that the Imperium has asked the government of Menelmacar to conduct joint gravitic/wet navy exercises
Marines: The I, II, IV, and V Corps are gathering in Stockholm in what is presumably preparation for embarkment. The III and VI Corps are reported to have been transported to the Black Sands Isles where it seems obvious that they will join their airborned brethren in the Black Guards Army, for what purpose is unknown.
Army: All army assets have been put on alert and the Celtic Guards, Royal Guards, and St. Ives Guards Armies are supposedly grouping in the Dublin Province in preparation for an exercise in Axackal. Sources state that while the Edolian government has yet to accept the exercise proposal, it has been forwarded.
