Venerable Chairman Wahler has appeared before the party assembly at the 72nd annual conference of the Peope's Revolutionary Party of Lasatania to seek their support in the opening of diplomatic relations with Suunist People's Republic of Marimaia.
Our glorious chairman respecting the policy of isolation originally implemented by Komrade Yagarin on the seizing of power 72 years brought the manner to the attention of the Party delegates attending the conference.
Of the 23 members of the Politburo, only Komrade Vayashin abstained from voting, decrying the proposal as a direct breach of the Party's principals.
The Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army, General Morosov, gave his wholehearted support to the measure, arguing that our nations current state of military prepardness left us at the mercy of our enemies and that in times of weakness the protection of others is better than none at all.

In other news, the Industry Minister, Komrade Vayashin, has been been named as chairman on the Politburo sub-committee on ballast production. He is replaced by Komrade Titov, former head of the People's Committee on Agricultural Production.
