As the Prime Minister of the Allied States, I come before you with a degree of humility. Recently, events in our region have led to the ceding of one of our states, and formation of a new nation, as well as the destruction of one, and the founding of several more troubling ones. Pardon my nebulousity, but for the purposes of this plea, I must keep things succinct. We, the citizens of the EATO (East American Treaty Organization) are submitting a request not only for more nations to move to our region, but for new membership in our organization.

We require our nations to be capitalist, or at least fundementally free. Full fledged socialism is frowned on, but not as much as dictatorships. It is important to note that UN membership (within the EATO, not the region) is forbidden.

It is unfortunate that you must come groveling to the rest of the world, Minister Carpenter, but your Godless people grow weary of the nation in which you govern. You promise 'freedom', but at what cost? What good is freedom if you can't enjoy it by going out in public, for fear of being mugged or seeing vagrants on the street corner, shooting up drugs. Order is more important than "freedom" and order is what I intend to bring to our region, even if it means you may have to leave....
