Sigma Octavus

Sconfitta, the last bastion of lawlessness in Sigma Octavus. Haven to criminals, mercenaries, and just all around ne'r-do-wells. No roads leading to any other populated center, the city is fairly isolated. Surrounded on all sides by the Great Sigmala desert, only the toughest can live here.
Having realized that containment was too costly, the military has long left the city alone, simply leaving behind a number of outposts, generally the kind of post left only for those that have angered someone high up.
Gangs run the city. The largest gang is the Reikoku Kaku, or "Relentless Victory". The gang has simply come to be called the Sidewinders, mainly in part of the many turns they will take in a single week. Going from extortion, to murder, to arms trafficking, they change what they do very often.
(OOC: This is just setting up a city in which I'm going to have a totally freeform RP eventually in. After the RP, the city will be open as a location for any other RPs that want to be in it. )
