Bloody Murder in The Empire-Many killed, more to come.

The Emperor sat in his private room in the Imperial Palace, searching through many obscure places in his room for something. Finally finding a bag of white powder, he poured the stuff on his desk. Inhaling the stuff wildly, the Emperor went off on a psychotic moodswing; visions of demons filled his mind and he felt as if he was under attack by the devil himself.

Bursting out of the room with an Ak-47 in hand, he ran through the halls firing on random people, missing horribly, stumbling to get through the building. "It's the Satanists! Burn them all! Kill them!" he screamed as he ran, desperate to get rid of his inner demons, caused by drug usage.

Finally, his own security forces entered the building to force him to get a grip. Surrounding him, grabbing his arms in the most firm yet most comfortable way, they restrained the old man quickly and efficiently, although he continued to scream that he was under attack by demons.

"What the bloody hell happened, my Emperor?" the Sergeant spoke up.

"It was the demons! They entered my private chambers and attacked me! It is a Satanist plot! Kill them! Kill them all!"

"Have you gone insane, my Lord?"

"NO! That's an order! They tried to kill me so I am fucking having them killed. Do it Sargeant. Now! Or you're going to be next for disobedience!"

Puzzled, the Sargeant had no choice but to accept the order and relay it on to the more important military commanders. He also felt the need to relay it on to the press, hoping international condemnation would force his Emperor to his senses. He couldn't have been more wrong.

----------

Sargeant Evans ad his squad surrounded a building identified to contain a Satanist cult, stopped briefly, considering the Emperor's orders and then dismissed any thoughts of dissent. They were the Emperor's Gaurds, enforcers of his mighty rule and they had sworn alliegance. They could not go back now, or so the Sargeant thought.

"Alright, on my signal burst in and kill anyone that you see inside that is not one of us. Fix bayonets. Alright, one...two...three...GO!!"

The squad burst in, stabbed the lot of people inside with bayonets and then hacked the bodies to piecees, blood splurting around the hellish setting, befitting the description of cult. The dim candlel light, smell of death, and blood splattered walls made the place seem surreal. It couldn't have been real, could it? the Sargeant thought. We were only following orders, he thought.

Pausing for a moment of reflection the man considered that he had much fun killing. Perhaps he would enjoy it again? He lusted after the kill, needed to kill, became addicted to it all in a few moments of a bayonet attack.

The adrenaline pumping, he had to satisfy this hunger. His own inner demons attacked him and he accepted the barrage, amplifying its affect. He grabbed his ceremonial sword, and shouted, "Onward! We must get rid of others of these subhuman dogs! Onward!"/i]

Reluctantly, the squad followed. It was a scene repeated time and time again over the nation of Fluffywuffy that day, it it was certainly not the last time such a day would occur.

[i]Imperial World News Radio Broadcast

"Today, with the most Glorious Emperor's orders, the Army has begun the termination of all in the nation suspected of following the evil cult of Satanism, in an attempt to purify the nation of such evils. In order to gain the authority to do so he has declared martial law and his using the full authority of it. The Emperor declined to comment to calls of ending bloodshed, but we personally think that, as Infallable Leader of the United Di'Agwan Empire, he has made the right choice. The very nature of our Emperor is such."

-------

Weapons were handed out, militia called up, reserves activated, troops deployed and logistics made ready. All services were deployed to the most defensive positions and partial wartime production was being instigated. The Government would have no interferances in its practices, none.

Wow...

Hattia condemns this action of restricting religious freedom. We, of course, will not interfere in the Empire's domestic affairs, but our condemnation stands.

Foriegn Advisor Ronald Semple was quite shocked by the lack of large amounts of foriegn condemnation and was actualy apaled by the praise by Sniper Country. When we get out of this mess, better get them on the Dossier he thought. Regardless of what he thought he had a job to do and that job was for the Empire.

"The Empire thanks Sniper Country for thier praise on our actions to remove the taint of Satanists from our glorious nation, and we will not be requiring anything at this time, however, we extend a hand of gratitude for the most generous offer."

He couldn't believe he had read those words to a foriegn audience-especialy with the goings on of that time-and he nearly wanted to shoot himself at the blatant human rights violations and try and end them. He passed out.

The days since the starting of the Operation: White Light, the codename for the anti-Satanist operations, had been a success. Over 100,000 captured on the opening day, and many more shot on sight. Public protest was at a minimum, however it was in place, with more than a few rallies againt the Emperor going on.

Satanists had formed a small pocket of resistance in the northern province of Agwanal, but the II Corps and IV Corps had been sent to surpress the resistance, and already the area was trapped by a few thousands Imperialist troops.

In charge of the operation was the General of Four Stars Mark Freler. His training in the Imperial Black Gaurd made him well suited to the task of rooting out hidden cultist cells, and the Emperor had personaly selected him for the operation.

"Kill them all" was the Emperor's order, and that was just what Freler ws doing. House by house, building by building, soldiers raided the country, searching for anything that would link one to Satanism, including searching computer files in a quick, five minute, skim.

Under Freler in command of the II Corps was Lieutenant General Maximilian Frank, a new recruit who was undyingly loyal. In charge of te III Corps was the elderly Lieutenant General George Willier, a veteran of arcane military conflicts and a bright young lad when the terrorist attacks of many years ago occured, serving in the command of a Platoon as Lieutenant Willier.

Freler approached his two Lieutenants and barked out his orders, cold and impartial, and straight to the point.

"You are to now progress farther into the Satanist rebellion area, kill any armed person who resists, and round up any of the Satanist scum that you find. Same proceedure as before: house to house searching, building to building searching. Search anything and anybody. Dismissed."

The Republic applauds these actions against the death cult.

Although freedom of religion is sacred, those who defend themselves with it in order to further crazed agendas of murder, death, and carnage deserve nothing more than swift destruction.

If you should require crews to clean up the messy remnants, know that our Ministry of Sanitation is always willing to lend a hand.

"We have no need for your sanitation services, however messy this may be, as most of the Satanist scum is being rounded up and sent to internment camps before they are terminated in humane (OOC: If you consider torture humane) ways. Very few of the people are actualy killed on the streets, that's the exception rather than the rule. We still thank you for your generous offer."

Official Statement from the Queen Herself

Although we respect the Emperor's decisions and dispise Satanism in every facet, we cannot condone your treatment of these people. We no longer trust the Emperor's sanity.
