The Jarridian Mobilization forces move ever closer to their destination in H-D. The men were prepped and ready for the commencement of the invasion. They knew that many would be lost, but they are willing to give their lives to save the nation they love so dear.

The first waves of cruise missiles launched. Their targets were the H-D capital, beach heads, and coastal cities. 500 Missiles entered the H-D airspace, moving swiftly. The Destroyers and Battleships moved in quickly and began bombarding the coasts, preparing the war for the Jarridian invasion.

The Ducal Air Force moved quickly to intercept Jarridia's attack, sending a wave of Tornados to keep the heavy ships at bay whilst the defence force was assembled. The coastal defences and weapons embankments held well against the naval bomardment, although at the cost of many Dominaxian lives, and most of the projectiles launched were detonated safely by the Strategic Missile Command's early-warning system.

However, tragedy struck when the market of the capital city was reduced to rubble by Jarridia's vicious assault, causing the deaths of an estimated five hundred innocent civilians. The Grand Duke called on the international community to help him against the unprovoked attack in the name of sovereignty.

Meanwhile the SuperDreadnaughts of the Ducal Fleet moved ponderously towards the Jarridian Destroyers, their short range but devastating plasma cannons trained to destroy.

As per General Matthew Wards request, Task Force Echo Special Operations Unit will dispatch in aid of Jarridia. Task Force Echo comprises of 200 Soilders, Airman and Sailors. "Our ally has fallen under attack and is at war with various nations. Our ally is Jarridia one of our first allies after our adopted territories of our previous allies that have diminished.

"War is something that happens ferequently in the world surrounding us and, the United States of Canada is a major power in the world. So, to the attackers and enemies of Jarridia, you have picked on the wrong people. IF you fail to continue your attacks on this nation we will enter this war in the support of our ally.

We thank both Redleningrad and Canad a for their support. Together we can bring justice to those who harm innocence.

Our navy has taken light damage ad H-D raids our positions. 75 F-15 and 75 F-16 have taken off in order to protect the naval fleets and wipe the H-D Airforce from the skies. 700,000 men have now landed on the shores. Heavy fire has been reported and there have been many casualties. Jarridians continue to fight, and we have made some ground as the beach is penetrated.

A small troop has been dispatched to help Jarrida -

OOC: Jarridia, how do you have 5 million men and a big navy/air force, and modern equipment? This would put a massive strain on your economy, even worse than the Daylami one, which is currently surviving on money from the auctioning of land and war-time forces. Also, your entire nation would be defenseless if I decide to send, say, 10,000 Marines to occupy it. :lol:
Daylami has a tiny navy, a miniscule Marine Corps, a regular air force, and a massive army.

No one asked you Daylam. My military is barely 2% of my entire population. Much less than what most nations use. Your military is weak because you've been defeated a few times. If you have nothing to give to this RP then begone. Also, I have a national guard and use of the WWA Military....so 10,000 won't cut it. I don't even know why I responded to you, since I already stated that your nation doesn't exist to me. As already stated GO AWAY!

900,000 seasoned troops of the South-Coast Defence Force are waiting on the secondary defensive line, keeping Jarridia’s troops pinned down with heavy fire. Shooting fish in a barrel!

Aircraft are scrambled and on route from the other Regional Commands, including several Globemasters carrying 4 crack divisions of Koochluk fighters. The remainder of the Southern Regional Command [A further 6,000,000 experienced soldiers] is being transported to the conflict zone.

The SuperDreadnaughts are inflicting considerable damage on the naval enemy, protected from attack themselves by the suicidal bravery of the Ducal Air Force [DAF] and the navy’s auxiliary fleet of Destroyers, Frigates and Submarines that have forced a shield of flesh and steel. The Constitutional Monarchy of Utcheer will support Jarridia at all costs. Utcheer looks down upon H-D's actions against civilians and prisoners of war. Utcheer is mobilizing 400,000 troops to the fighting in H-D and another 100,000 to aid if an invasion in Jarridia's homeland should occur.

With my allies assembling to defend the southern coasts of the home nation there are troops to spare to pour back into the Zdravokast conflict. OOC: Your numbers don't make any sense. You have more nuclear war heads then you do Air Craft Carriers. Plus, you have about 321750000 people in the navy correct? Divide that number by the number of carriers, you have barley enough to put a crew on all the ships, let alone the rest of your naval vessels.

OOC: They don't compute because we wound up with a surplus from other wars. This is an inventory of all our equipment that we have yet to throw out. Most of it is outdated, but we still use it. We have yet to sell-off our surplus. We kept getting a steady supply from The Eastern Alliance, who was the biggest arms manufacturer and supplier in ALSN.
Also, look at the breakdown of the percentages. only 30% of 65% of the population is in the navy.

IC: Staying in line with Imperial Doctrine, it is now and has been for centuries the policy of the FWL to come to the aid of noble albeit outnumbered forces fighting for justice and liberty throughout the world. In response to H-D,s crimes against humanity, as well as the recent hostilities by their allies, the FWL is sending is sending an expiditionary force to H-D to hopefully stem the onslaught from hostile forces.


In response to the aggressors counter attack, the 3rd Free World Legionnaires, consisiting of:

I'm having a lot of trouble with the forum, so if somebody could post this for me I'd be much obliged.

Regretfully, the bulk of our military is currently engaged in protecting the population from itself. However, we can spare:
- 400,000 semi-skilled hard laborers for construction (5,000 being transferred per 12 hours by helicopter, as well as 50,000 per 36 hours by transport ship)
- Monetary aid: Approximately $970 million U.S. (it's not much, but we're a small country)

ooc: Not if you have outdated equipment, but list it because it hasn't been disposed of by your military. Also, there is no shame in having a large military when you have a large population. Also, when you have a large population, a good alliance with a large arms supplier and a decent economy, you have viable conditions in which to build up your army. It also helps if you've been in wars before.

Besides, 'godmodding' isn't declaring you have a big army and all this equipment, until you put it into practice. I have yet to make a post about my army attacking. Further, you can't prove that I have begun to godmod yet. I never took any control yet and, the attack I did used just planes and bombs on the outskirt of a city and I didn't report any casualities or embellish the actions of my army.

I am the real imperial majesty of Dor Cirion, Queeth Corruthesthera. My impudent successor tried to upsurp the throne from underneath me while I was still alive. No wonder she sent Countess Lavernia Jhanki home and drafted Anwenleigh Jhanki of Nimelond to be her representative. That girl had no self-respect and will stop at nothing to get into power.

But, as we speak, Countress Jhanki is being returned home and her sister-in-law, Anwenleigh has been ceased and arrested for aggressive foreign action that is not fitting of Dor Cirion. The same goes for Princess Khrystalia, who has also been arrested and now stands trial.

Following this, I have appointed a new successor, my young daughter, Princess Kyiatli, who is only 15 years old, will ascend the throne when the time comes. But, for now, I shall continue to rule as I always have.

Now, a note to the aggressors, traditionally, Dor Cirion has been a peaceful nation, who only supplies food and medicine to her allies in this time of need. Although they cannot hope to defeat this larger naval force their superior weaponry is inflicting severe damage whilst their auxiliary craft and aircraft are defending them successfully thus far.

In my country, active military service is mandatory for two years for every citizen of R-CG just after ending one's college education, therefore the military is always and will always be about 1/3 of the nation's respective population. Military report issued to a none-too-happy El Destrocto, only moments after the last report reached his iron fist.

Reads:
The chemical attack by Dresdenitania using untested weaponry was unexpected and caused massive damage to the La Extorian attack squad. Thankfully our aerial strike force was unscathed, as were those troops based in the amphibious tanks. The aerial team has fallen back to refuel and requests permission from Mikorya Daelimae Rikard of Rose-Coloured Glasses to use her nations airbases. 20 of the tanks will remain in the region for the moment awaiting further orders. The other 5 will ship the injured and the dying troops away to a field hospital where they will receive medical treatment. A minor setback but at least all Dresdenitanian citizens residing in said 30-mile contaminated region were also killed in the attack. Almost more death than we could have hoped for really.

OOC:Rose-Colored Glass you are godmoding. Yes it is possible that you have 1/3 of your population in the military BUT if you did they would be starving and without supplies of ANY sort so they would be WORTHLESS. Think about it you have to pay, feed, equip, retirement, housing,etc, etc so unless you have 1/3 of your population running around with sticks and weighing 5 pounds it is not possible to have 1/3 of your population in the military. OOC: H-D, Vampirian City, most of the nations in this thread, stop godmoding. If you are a Feb nation and have more than 10 million men in your military you are godmoding. If you have more than that your military is SHIT. You may have over 10 million men but they are trained,equipped, etc HORRIBLY which means a well off force 1/10 the size of it could easily defeat it. If your nation is being attacked, yes you can call up reserves and mobilize ( this is mainly for H-D but is a good lesson for everyone) but the forces you call up arent going to be very well trained or equipped so it wont matter. Now H-D you cant just launch missles at our capitals. For one we are too far away unless you use ICBMs or something like them. Evan if you did I have an SDI that will simply just shoot them down so you cant just say "oh I just destroyed your capital." Oh and yes you can have assasins but no they arent going to get into our nations. First off I have a blockade of your nation so nothing is getting in or out. Secondly we do have Border Patrols. Lastly we do have Intelligence Agencies so your assasins or going to be stuck in your nation and wont be killing our heads of state. Nextly take realistic casualties( this hasnt come up much but Im pretty sure it will). Oh and yes you may have a total military with 5 million men or whatever but unless its you being attacked you wouldnt send them all or probably not even half. Like me for example I send about 1/4 of my forces and as u can see thats a lot. So yes you could have 30 Carriers or whatever but you probably wouldnt even send 15 to this conflict and just a warning if you do I WILL turn to total war. 10 million highly trained defense troops are stationed in H-D, to protect the border from intrusion. Therefore, the forces of H-D can focus on attacking.

IC: Receiving notice from La Exorta of a need to use her airbases, Lady Mikorya readily granted the request. She ordered the aircraft normally occupying those bases to be moved into storage hangers and small aircraft landing strips across the country.

Following that order, Lady Mikorya decreed that all reserve troops as well as the citizens of R-CG should prepare for air raid drills and attend training seminars across the nation to learn how to defend their nation if the need arises. Reserve weapons as well as civilian weapons were to be issued to as many people as possible, but needless to say there would be countless without firearms to defend themselves with.

Therefore, Lady Mikorya resolved to have all the citizens gather at local movie theatres and school auditoriums to receive crash courses in militia and gorilla warfare using film material and basic demonstrations. We have only withdrawn because the war is not in our best interests and because the Regional Government of ALSN has requested that we do so or we face explusion. Since the most powerful nation there is in charge, we have decided to do it for now.

We are starting run number two of the day. We intend to do twice a day to ensure that the civilians of H-D do not suffer from the blockade. We also intend to import our arsenal surplus to H-D to give them extra power in this fight. We will also export our arsenal surplus to our other allies, when we do our next arsenal drop, we will deliver some to our allies as well. Our equipment is calibre and ready for use.

I have so far only contributed a small part of my population to the regular armed forces [around 40 million] and they ARE nearly all involved in a war within my borders by necessity. As I have indicated before the gendarmerie and conscription have filled the gap in the reserve forces, despite their low quality.

I also have compulsory military service which means that although my conscripts are not high quality they know how to handle a gun. The territorial army has also been called up. In the interests of realism you must accept that when a country is attacked its people will rally around its rulers and fight to save their families, even at the cost of sacrificing their own lives. So far less than 20% of my population is in combat.

Stop telling everyone what they can and cant do.

The casualty reports for the conflict made grim reading, 3 million infantry killed in battle, scores upon scores of planes downed, and almost a fifth of the navy lost. The Occupied Zone, a once thriving region, is left a blackened desert, its corpse fought over in a thousand localised conflicts. The main coastal cities - Port Lennox, Chiswick and Alexander amongst others are in ruins, countless civilians slain in this terrible war.

However, the enemy forces have not yet managed to expand from their narrow beach-head and the battered defences continue to hold them down. Although some half of the South-Coast RC is now in enemy hands an effective perimeter has cordoned off the economically vital Dominax City to the east and the rich farmlands of Westershire to the north. In the mountain fastness of Old Hoffenburg to the north the Grand Duke continues to plot his revenge....

Since a reprisal from Dresdenitania was expected the La Extorian airforce was prepared for the attack and were able to meet the attacking stealth aircraft near La Extora's Northern border. The size of the attacking force was misjudged though and extensive damage was done to airbases and minor government buildings.
Casualties amongst the attackers have not been confirmed but are believed to be high with a large portion of the airstrike team being taken down by anti-aircraft fire. La Extora's airforce has suffered majorly however.
Meanwhile in Dresdenitania Eastern Region (where the chemical attack took place) the 20 remaining Amphibious Tanks have split into ten squadrons of two and have targeted all forms of infrastructure in a bid to leave the area disconnected from the rest of the nation. All targets are to be destroyed upon sight. These include bridges, airports, trainstations, water towers, dams, telephone and electricty cables and sewage plants. It is hoped that the damage done will cripple the eastern region.

We are quickly attempting to get out Red Cross Workers and military Medical officers to Port Lennox, Chiswick and Alexander in order to reduce the number of casualties. We were also able to get generators up and running so that we could maintain makeshift hospitals until proper ones are rebuilt. Our men and women are working around the clock.

We are also preparing to arm the citizens of Dominax City and the farmlands of Westershire. We are bringing paratroopers and our arsenal surplus. Our troopers are there to help maintain civil order as well as to teach the citizens of Dominax City and Westershire how to defend their cities from the onslaught of the invading forces. With the aid of Hoffenburg-Dominax Whitsoniar has sent 50 B-52s over the coasts of Dresdenitania in attempts to aid the alliance. 8 Tomahawk missiles were fired upon dams, bridges, and especially city halls and playgrounds, killing hundreds of innocents.

As of 48 hours from now, our generals and training officers are inviting La Extora, H-D and our other allies to send troops to our bases for training and re-equipment. We will be issuing state of the art equipment to aide them in the fight.

Reports from the main ports of H-D, where many cities lay in ruins are now positive. Our men and women who have been working around the clock have been able to secure a source of fresh water, which they are pumping through the filters and making it readily available to the people in these areas. They have also set-up hydrophonic gardens, so that some food can be grown on-sight, so less has to be imported. We have also brought them livestock and we are bringing in more generators until we can fully restore power.

Hours ago, it was reported that my crews, some of our own telecommunications experts have been able to restore communication lines to the area. Further, our rescue teams have been working to clear the rubble and restore morale to the people here. As we work to restore this morale, we are also proving training to the men and women who have requested it so that they can provide their own defense, freeing up our workers so that they can continue to maintain infrastructure. This means that H-D workers from the military and elsewhere can maintain civil order where no attacks have been launched. We will continue to make sure that people here are kept safe.

We continue to obey local and federal as well as international laws, while we are here. We are just here long enough to provide support for H-D until the war passes. If any of our other allies come under fire as well, we will send more personnal to the affected areas. Our workers stand on alert waiting for word from our allies that they need help.

After laying waste to the cities of Dresdenitania the strategic bombers from Domocolees refueled in flight and began the grand tour. They started attacking military and strategic targets. The aircraft from Dresdentania are now dropping like fly’s they have no runways to return to, low on fuel and are being shot down by our fighter aircraft.

With the country in ruins and only several thousand people left, spies of Whitsoniar snuck into Dresdenitania at 5:00AM this morning and poisoned several resorvoirs in the 10 largest cities of the country (including the capital). Before departing the spies also placed some timed explosives about playgrounds. Knowing they'd be dead by morning they poisoned the undergound water sources, ensuring desolation for the next hundred years. Reinforcements are on their way. "We'll see you all in hell yet," shouted Col. Walken as he flew his plane, armed with over 250 lbs. of nitro and two vials of the plague, into Dresdenitania's head military base.

The Government of Dresdenitania has declared a state of emergency
and sealed off all sources of contaminated water contaminated by the plague.Therefore none of the contaminated water has been consumed
by any one.The water is being filitered out to rid it of any chemical,radioactive,or biological toxins.The toxin was spotted before
any of the water could be consumed by the civilians of the country.
Traces of the plague have also been found in military water supplies
and has been repurified as well.The water is safe again for drinking.
Our enemy must have never heard of chlorine being used to purify
water.Explosives were also found planted in a play ground and were
defused.Traces of plague were found at Dresdenitania's military base
and have been destroyed.250 pounds of nitro were also found and

Also, the reason Dor Cirion has a large military is because, almost all are medicical officers and peace keepers. We come from a region of conflict and turbulance, so our men and women were trained to provide stability. Also, our economy comes from our military and traditional monarchy. Our military also maintains our infrastructure, is our police force and our espionage agency.
Our military equipment is in surplus because we have participated in two wars and are continually serving as peacekeepers, as well as a driving force in our allies' recovery from attacks, whether civil or foreign.
When you consider all that, we are hardly godmodders. We just prefer, for economical costs, to put defense, order and intelligence into one ministry. It makes for a better management system. Now, does anyone contest this? Most likely they will...

However, declaring you have a lot of weapons, that is quite plausible. Look at places like China and the US. They can each arm the world over several times. I don't think it's totally impossible to have an army with a large surplus of equipment.

What the hell is all this god-modding crap. As far as I can see all of my allies have militaries roughly in line with the 'rules' Matich and Jarridia are laying down.

Only I have exceeded them, and considering that it is my country under attack full mobilisation and general conscription do not seem unfair. This is what happens in real life conflict and considering many countries under heavy attack can mobilise up to a quarter of their population [the entire male military manpower fit for service] my forces are rather conservative. I have also made it clear that their quality is not amazing and have conceeded appropriate losses.
