Seems all right, care to test your forces and abilities in a round of wargames?

[OOC: He would have a pretty large advantage over me in active duty army (and an enormous edge in air force), but I have a much larger navy than he does. He would be hard-pressed to get that army to Sarzonia after I impose a blockade on him.]

19 million troops......well you could certainly have that many, but you could probably only afford to use a maximum of 10 million in actual combat at once, or your economy would take a nose dive. That said, 10 million is still a heckuvan army....

It does seem large but reasonable, so long as he took logistics and support personnel into the figures.

Nice, but who cares? Waar is asking for advise not how you would defeat him.

[OOC: The point is, his army and air force are huge, but his navy is pretty small by NS standards. I guess that makes it fair and answers his question.]

But my nation has only one major port.

So, you can't stuff 200 war ships into a city.

=P

Still we make up for it, and your blockade wouldn't last if I sent my planes around them.

Is there a blockade though? Or isnt there?

*hums twilight zone theme*

Sorry...Exam pressure...

you can't stuff 200 war ships into a city.

You can if you fold 'em right!

Blockade via submersibles, your problem is solved. With a few buoys floated up for accurate spotting you could swat a lot of plane out of the air too.

As for the fairness how much per year (RL day) are you spending on military?

$50 million
=
250 million Waaringtons

But I pay the soldiers $10,000 a year.
And students are required service of two years.

I have been on for quite a while. Since March?

Well I wouldn't think that'd be enought o keep all of your stuff fully loaded with ammo fuel in it etc etc but if every one else is fine with it I'm not going to complain.

ooc:Well, you have a North Korean or Drapoel level of recruitment, but you seem to have top notch western equipment, in the air force at least. I don't really know that its possible to have it both ways. If you're going to recruit such a cripplingly large force and expect to support and mechanise it with tens of thousands of armoured vehicles, those AVs are going to have to last a long time without replacement or good repair, and to think that you're paying the men and are evidently not communistic... I don't see that the economy could survive it. In Dra-pol, for example, we don't pay the soldiers (because we've long since withdrawn currency anyway), we keep them alive. Their families survive by living on and contributing to collectives. It wouldn't work so well in capitalist society, surely.

seems ok, but numbers aint everything and how do you expect to RP with all those numbers?
