One hour ago, the Tadjik army crossed the border with Afghanistan and entered the city of Kunduz. Two minutes later President-General Samblevski anounced gave a speech on TTV...

"For the past past seven months our policeforces have tried to stop the illegal traffic of weapons and drugs going trough our nation into the world. Many smugglers wer put to justice, but for every smuggler we arrest 2 others take his place.

High command has therefore decided to put an end to these activities once and for all. We ask the rightfull owner(s) of this land not to interfere or aid us in our task. "

Warlord Ismail Khan, who hold the province of Herat as already anounced to cooperate with Tadjik forces, Not really a surprise from an ethnic Tadjik. High command is still waiting for a message from Faizabad.

ooc: i'm simply invading, i wanted to have Afghanistan from the first day i stared with this nation. Offcourse officially we're taking out smugglers and such.

President Anderson is said to be "concerned" by developments in this unstable part of the world, and is thought to be calling for an international peacekeeping mission to be deployed to the area if the situation starts spiralling towards becoming out of control.

"We assure you that such actions will not be necessary, our forces are well capable of dealing with the threat. And once we have taken out all "bad elements" we will finally bring stability to the region."

A couple of days after the Invasion

In the office of General Gromov...

Colonel Loncar: "goodmorning general, i have some interesting news for you, and the first report"

Colonel Loncar gives the report to Gromov; "We received news from Mazar, the local warlord, Mohamed Atta Ustad. He has agreed to cooperate with us. This would offcourse mean that we have an enemy in Shibarghan, Abdul Rashid Dostum."

Gromov puts the report on his desk and takes out a file: "Dostum ... 7000 men ... an Uzbek. Mazar Military District will be yours colonel. Deal with the man as quickly as you can ... we cannot waiste time here in the north, our main task lies in southern Afghanistan"

Loncar leaves Gromovs office, while the General reads the report

Kunduz Military District
Report by Col. Baimatov

Today, 28 may 2004, regiments 2/2, 2/3, 2/4, 4/1 finished operations in the city of Kunduz, all results can be found in this report:

Regts 2/2 and 2/3 were to close all roads leading in and/or out of the city. roadblocks were put up and civilians could only get into the city after passing trough a checkpoint. During these checks, 7 people got arrested and 12 weapons were found.

Regts 2/4 and 4/1, moved trough the city and entered every house searching for drugs or arms. 4/1 got into hostilities with suspects twice, 4 soldiers died while 3 others were injured. 17 suspects were shot, 8 wounded and 84 others arrested.

In all, 9 tons of Opium were found together with 881 weapons of which:
- 722 AKM, AK47
- 26 AK74
- 48 RPG-7V
- 9 Stinger AAmissiles
- 61 PK
- 15 Rocket Launching Installations (various types)

It is most likely that these goods were brought together here for further transport by smugglers trough Tadjikistan. Questioning already revealed more information on possible suspects in Mazar and Kabul. Several suspects told us that weapons arrived here from Kabul.

After two days of fighting, the Jombesh(Dostums group) realized it could not win from the Tadjik army, which is not only stronger but also receives alot of support from the locals(mostly ethnic tadjiks). Dostum fled Shibarghan, While the Jombesh started peacetalks with both Jamiat and Tadjik army.

At the same time the United front told the Tadjik field commander (General Gromov) that they want cooperate. Gromov imediatly sent helicopters with paratroopers too Faizabad.

General Samblevski now negotiates with a tribe in central Afghanistan too speed up the whole campaign.

ooc: this will be over much quicker then intended. So i'll have to find something else to do.
