Although we won't be involved in anyway because we're against making international corporations richer than they already are, we think this is a good idea in the context that it will probably make the game more interactive.

Actually there are no truly working stock markets/exchanges in operation in Nationstates... A true stock market allows for the stock price to fluctuate due to demand and supply of the stock and is made created artifically, like it is currently in most created stock markets...
If you guys want someone to watch stocks and put in orders, just contact me...
(OOC: You have my contact info, Credonia)

mine can do that but it is not instant, and there is o real way to have a 'true' market unless they change the coding

Yep...my stock market/bank will account for that and add it in there. (i know people who have actually made working stock market systems, but not for NS, it was for the bustling Virtual Aviation industry) Heres an example of one: http://www.vastock.com its a bank and a stock market. But my system will be a lot different. (it wont even be like theirs)

Cool, I'd love to be a part of this, perhaps we can have a group rather like the IMF or World Bank and UE can head it up? I don't know much about making websites but I'm good on economics and finance. My nation is also one of the most powerful nations economically on NS as we are nation of 1.55 billion with a frightening economy and no income tax.
How will the currency markets work because my Elias DInar is linked to the price of silver which presumably would be represented?

Interesting. We're still using the old Gold standard which makes it hard to float our currency.

OCC: Credonia will you be playing the Stock Market's affects to your People and it's Economy?
I have more than sufficient skills in PHP, MySQL, Javascript, CSS, HTML, and Java to do whatever with this - but you won't catch me dead helping out Creddy here :P
I think the idea had been done a long time before either Credonia or Huzen Hagen existed... I think it's stickied somewhere but it was a huge economic thread.
Eitherway good luck Credonia, if you can get enough nations to be ass...

Nice rip-off.
Moontian

While putting businesses up on the international stock market would be interesting, Moontian will not float the belle as of right now. It is on what has been called the 'bread and milk standard:' One loaf of bread or a litre of milk costs one belle anywhere in Moontian.

tagged, sounds good.
well, if the bank is up and running, Kilean needs a damn big loan, and fast. I've got, what, three countries that need rebuilding, plus a multi-year war to recover from.
Is there going to be a nationstates IMF?
Edit: we're also floating the Thaler. Feel free to peg your currencies to it, beacuse we're at a "frightening" economy and show no signs of going anywhere.
Also- Kilean is buying up the South Hanguk won in large quantiies.

Well, i think if we did that, we would need to get some of the good NS mods and maybe max Berry to help us out there. If i could pull some support from any of them, then its possible. If not, then no, but we can try and thats what Im going to do.
Everyone who has pledged their support, i'll be getting in contact with each of you before the end of the week and putting together a basic plan of what will be made. The results of that plan and what we can do will be posted on the first post in this thread.

LMAO, this is priceless, my system will be totally self supporting, and totally AUTOMATED, meaning no human intervention (or error for that matter) will be made unlike all others.
For everyone else who wants to know when my system will be operable, i cant give a specific date but it is expected in no less than a mont or so (considering the amount of coding required to actually have it all work). by the way, who knows PHP?
