Florida Declares Independance!
May 23rd, 2003 - The Jacksonville Sherifs Office S.W.A.T. finally combated Menelmacari Ground Troops out of the Florida and into Georgia. Using superior ground tactics and equipment taken from various southern military bases, air superiority had been created as the last of the gravshisp were driven into Lousiana by the 1st Bomber Corps.

It is a glorious day. Today the troops celebrated as the Floridian Flag was raised over the Menelmacari American flag in Talahasee at the Governor's mansion. Governor Bush is expected to make a speech today at 2:00PM at Florida State University, the heart and foundation of the Floridian Resistance.

Although independance can be declared, Florida is still in danger of counter-attacks by Menelmacari America and outside forces. As a result, the militia will be calling on all willing individuals to help in the rebuilding of the military compounds and city infrastructure.

Jacksonville itself, after suffering a massive artillery barrage from Georgia-based forces, has lost its former Federal courthouse and the Acosta Bridge. Local Coast Guard and police were searching all night in rescue missions to help the lost.

Thank you very much, Numeriador! We will be happy to put an embassy in Orlando once we begin relocating the capitol into the strategic location of Tampa.

As it stands now, the Federation of Floridian States has shifted its army to the northern front looking to expand into Georgia. We are light on troops and supplies and are currently hoping to avoid printing money. Any help would be appreciated.

A squadron of C-5 transports touch down on Miami airport, quickly unloading hundreds of troops, tanks, helicopters.

"HAIL GOVERNOR BUSH! We come in peace, and wish to help you in defeating the evil bastard elves. Now, show us a location where we can help you most."

General Hatteras walked up to the new armoured division sent by Big Shiny Guns. "This is an extraordinary group of equipment. Right now though, we are having trouble securing the Georgia border. Send your troops north, about 400 miles, and link up with the 4th Florida National Guard Brigade. They will direct you as to where to help."

"Very well! We will load up the tanks and head out." Said the general of Big Shiny Guns.

General Callington overlooked the map, he was only a field-promoted colonel in the militia, but his time advancing in the former National Reserves aided his military tactictioning. "Bush wants us to secure kingsbay so we can have an active submarine force. That'd require us to move into Georgia. But we only have the JSO S.W.A.T. teams available."

An uniformed police officer was standing next to him, "But whabout them tanks we'cured from thabase near 'Lando?"

His deep-southern accent was hard to understand, so Callington only said. "Tanks would take to long and would only be targets for further enemy artillery attacks. We need to do this secretly. Round up a team of about 50, get reserves from other SWATs in northeast florida too." He paused, remembering that he needed to hold the base for as long as possible. "Yes, fine...order the tanks up to the line. We'll run them across the border quickly. Prepare the Florida Air Guard for a defence. Load AMRAAMs on the F-15s."

"Yessir!" The man in flannel ran quickly over to a radio and started barking out orders, typically the replies were: "What the hell did you say, sir?" However the orders were out, and now an expeditionary force was being prepared to secure Kingsbay, Georgia Submarine Base. It was reported by some random 'neck who was fishing that two Los Angeles classes and an Ohio class were remaining at the base outside. No word on what was in the hurricane-resistant missile-reloading shelters.
