The monthly Whittier International Intelligence Report has revealed that the Holy Empire of Canales is apparently involved in a shockingly large scale arms buildup.
Whittier expresses concern due to the fact that history has shown that nations that buy weapons at such a rapid pace usually do so cause they are preparing to attack someone.
While Whittier is not pointing fingers, we will be watching the situation in Canales and call on arms exporters to temper their trade with that nation.
We remind the world that while Canales is a peaceful nation, he did start a world war at one time while under the leadership of Chancellor Munchosen.

That was a bygone era. Chancellor Munchosen wasn't even elected by the people and he only gained power by illegally ousting the Emperor who had to flee to another country while Munchosen ruined our nation and invaded and conquered other nations until the allied powers stopped him and pushed him back. He ended up commiting suicide as the allies entered the Canales capital cause he was going to be tried for war crimes cause of the gas ovens he used to kill the jews, christians, blacks, and elves with.
Most of the royal family was killed in this manner by his men.
After the war we did disarm totally but we were then invaded repeatedly by those seeking to conquer or dominate our nation.
The royal family is back in power and I can assure the world that this will never happen again as long as I remain Emperor of Canales.
Hence, we must build up our military to protect ourselves from outside threats. Especially those made against us as of late.
