Enesian forays into the galactic arena (185k image)

May 22, 457. Today marks a significant milestone not only in the history of P4lladia, but the entire world of Eness. Eness, as you may know, is a world orbiting a gas giant orbiting a pair of binary stars about 22 lightyears from the center of human civilization, Earth. It was five years ago to the day that long-range radio telescopes on the outermost planet of the Eness system detected radio communications signals from Earth, and later, more advanced detection instruments unravelled a massive network of interstellar communication, not only from Earth, but from other planets.

We are not alone.

May 22, 457. This is the day that P4lladian scientists and laypeople have been waiting five years to see, the day that we would yell back to the galaxy now known to be teeming with life. After the disappointment that was the (horribly slow and inefficient) bias drive, the SFV Meva had been kept a close secret until earlier this week, after a test had confirmed that its revolutionary new technology actually worked. The Meva's space-fold drive allows it to go anywhere in the universe instantaneously, given that you have enough power. The M3VA cold-fusion reactor, developed for this very purpose, generated enough power for one 22ly jump every 36 hours. How convenient!

The Palladiate, Technocratic leader of P4lladia, stood before the cheering masses of people gathered in front of the enormous government towers in SkyCity. I will spare you the long, patriotic speech given by the Palladiate, but the crowd practically died when he finished the speech, watching the launch of the SFV Meva on the 10-story tall holodisplay hovering over where the portly leader stood.

"All systems are go for launch, captain. I'm ready when you are." A voice from nowhere spoke to the highly-decorated man standing, gazing out the Meva's large bridge windows.

"I'm ready. Forget the countdown, move out, nice and steady." The captain replied.

The starship slid out of its construction bay, and a few large indicator lights lit up on the side of the ship indicating that it was getting ready for a space-fold jump. Two bias-driven frigates moved very close to the larger ship's hull, and were all surrounded by a sphere that can only be described as a space warp. The sphere fluctuated, then collapsed and the ships were gone.

The small fleet appeared in orbit around the planet Earth as soon as it left the orbit of Eness with a similar space warp bubble. On all known communications frequencies, a message was broadcast.

[code:1:036ed3a391]Greetings, people and nations of the planet Earth. This message is being broadcast from the SFV Meva, a space-fold vessel from the planet Eness III A, designed and launched by the United Technocratic Poleis of P4lladia. Our mission is that of peace, to contact your great civilizations that we have observed silently for many years now. We hope to open peaceful diplomatic relations with some of you. The Pacific Islands would like to welcome you to dock at either of our orbital bases, Luna or Gaia.

OOC: I won't be able to participate too much as my schedule is too busy right now.

The Captain, Tita, was in his private stateroom studying the various entertainment broadcasts being recieved from the planet over a hot cup of tea. The ship's omnipresent artificial intelligence alerted him to the Pacific Islands' gracious offer.

"Meva, run a quick scan and open a channel to one of their stations." Captain Tita spoke at nobody.

"Aye, captain...done. Gaia is best suited to our needs. Channel open." Nobody spoke back.

"This is Captain Tita of the SFV Meva, we accept your very generous offer and request clearence to dock at your station."

The docking bay supervisor of the space station Gaia responded and the starship gracefully locked into a docking port.

"You see, they're not much different from you or I...well, at least not much different from myself and the rest of the crew. They even look very similar. Tell the diplomats we've made contact, they might want to take a trip down to the surface now that we know the natives won't bite..."

(Desudoragon) - That's fine, I have no plan or direction for this at all, anyone can come or go as they please

(Burnsian Desert) - My sincerest apologies :D
