Allanea - All You Wanted to Know

Allanea is a democratic republic similar to the United States. It is ruled by Congress, Senate, and the president.

The Allanean States/Provinces

Allanea is divided into fives states (Allanea, Atlantic Island, Aissur, Daikatana and Nortonia (renamed from "The Prophet"). Each sends 20 representatives into the Senate and 80 into congress. Otherwise, they are similar to US states.


Allanea on the Issues



Age limit : 16 (recently reduced from 18 during the war.
Gun Control: None. As in, "shall not be infringed". Guns are an intrinsic part of Allanean culture (we have them on our flag). The government encourages gun ownership (manufacturers of firearms who market to civilians get tax breaks. Marksmanship and defensive tactics are taught in public schools. Surplus weapons are sold off to the populace. Any adult (16) Allanean who has not been ruled insane or had his right to keep and bear arms suspended due to commission of a crime can buy and carry any weapons he can afford with the exception of weapons of mass destruction.
War on Drugs: None. Any citizen above 16 years old may purchase any drugs he wishes.
Prostitution, Gambling, other victimless crimes : Legal. Any sane citizen above 16 may partake.



President Kazansky

Leader of the Allanean Democrat Party. In 2003, the population voted by 70% of the vote to declare him President-for-Life. After he dies, Allanea will resort to normal election mode.


Main Exports

Firearms: D'oh. Mainly small arms and personal weapons. High Export capability.

Recreational Drugs : Any imaginable. Hight Export capability, though damaged by the recent war.

Industrial products : Cheap, due to lax environmental regulations. Medium Export Capability.

Metals and metal alloys : Steel, copper, Uranium, gold, lead.Hight Export Capability. See note for industrial goods.

Main Imports

Oil : High import requirement.

Software products : High import requirement.

Firearms ]: See above.


Textiles: Unprocessed fabrics. Medium import requirement.

Anybody wishing to suggest trade in those and other goods is welcome to do so.
