A convoy of colony ships escort vassals and Explorers waved off to the delta quadrant . This after the session of 12 systems in the gamma quadrant to Dark corp. sac and allies The ships will colonize system upon systems as they go on . 1 of the explored systems is J-108 contains 10 planets . (3 desert ,2 artic ,3 2 Terran 3 Ocean .)

The second planet is under way of colonization as the first these first 2 settlements in this system will be the main bases of operation in the delta quadrant we hope to get many other colony’s and bases built soon all around the quadrant this main system will also house ship yards to construct combat capable vassals for defense.

The two Astro Imperial (adjective form of Star Empire-take note of this, all of you) FCS-60B warships, quietly slipped out of the Triastrothetêma, System 3. The smallish vessels, roaring quickly into the darkness of space, were swiftly replaced with empty metal shells so that spy technology would not register the loss of two ships.

Slipping out of hyperspace just outside the Delta Quadrant, the two ships cloaked and waited for any orders. The Star Empire had had no dealings with anyone for quite a long time, and this was the place to make a name for the Empire.

Onboard the Mothership, Nova Group Commander Allen Kursk impatiently paced the command deck of his hidden vessel, waiting for sensors to read anything of the Fedral Union's units in this system. It was believed a heavy military gaurd would be here, but preliminary sensor sweeps showed nothing.

"Anything yet John?"
"No Commander, nothing...wait! I'm picking up a single Fedral Union escort...it's the head of that convoy," the Sensor Officer pointed to the map of the sector, the Commander comming closer, "more of the ships are appearing sir. It is possible we can disrupt the colonization, in my opinion, I doubt they can detect us. We've the finest stealth in the business."
The Commander turned to his Weapons Officer, Ron Simpson.
"Simpson, if there any chance of us defeating these escorts?"
"We have a chance, but we must take all measures of secrecy. We'd have to destroy them all. My advice is that we go to passive sensors-that way we'd be harder to pick up."
"Make it so, John," he turned to the Sensor Officer.

The ships silently slipped off all the useless systems, such as hyperdrives-who would need them sitting still?-and active sensors, using passive sensors. Lights were cut off, anything to lower the chances of detection by any fraction of a percent. The group took no chances, even going silent on board, communicating in sign language.

The escorts consited of :

The two ships, silently watching the group, finally was able to look at the full escort group as it approached and saw that they were out gunned, maybe not out commanded. Thoughts, brilliant thoughts, came into the mind of the Commander. He knew his ships were almost not going to able to be detected until they were practicaly on top of the Fedral Union escorts. He also knew that the speed of his ships could easily get him out of any hairy situation, but he would not need to do any fighting.

Ever so slowly the ships edged in under the Fedral union group, picking just the right spot to attack. One of the ships-the Phoenix-had been modified from its original specifications: it had one of the Star Empire's most intriguing weaponry: a hellbore sheild imploder.

Keeping a long distance, it was decided the time was ripe for assault. The plan was a simple one: the two ships' ECM and ECCM systems would drain power from enemy ships while at the same time confusing sensors, lowering target tracking efficiency, and causing general confusion. The Phoenix would use its hellbore and quickly cut off the shields off enemy battleships-the most feared ships in that group-and then the two would blast fullspeed through the enemy battlegroup while dropping mines from a rear dispensor, hoping for as many ships as possible to fall in the chaos. 40 fighters would then swoop down and blast the unshielded battleships to pieces

Flawless, the Commander thought. But what if the numbers overwhelm him? He hadn't thought of that. It became clear he could not win against such a large display of force, regardless of the intelegance of the enemy commander. Help was needed.

And so it would come. Another 3 FCS-60As zipped into the system, this time directly to the Commander's location, cloaked still, of course. These ships, it was decided, would fly into the path of the convoy, drop mines, and then attack the Fedral fleet once they hit the mines. At this moment the carriers (FCS-60Bs) would launch thier small compliment of 40 Scot heavy fighters. And so the plan was set into motion, the outcome unexpected. Once again the Star Empire would take a huge gamble in its hidden purposes.

You should know that the delta quadrant is home to my nation. So I might just let a ship or two drop by.

Space on the far side of TFU's target planet shimmerd as hive vessels warped in - 13 royal guard a huve node and 30 cuttle fish transport vessels.
The transport vessels dived through the asmosphere plunging through the light cloud cover before landing on the ground and disembarking harvesters to collect resources. The great Wyrms began to bore into the ground to find radioactive materials and diamond deposites.

The Royal guard and node floated in orbit totalyl passive.

One scout picked up the arrival of the Hive in the system.

Event: Species 2865 detected in system 2-67895.
Directive: Destroy infestations.
Action: Change course to intercept, call for reinforcements.

As soon as they received the report, 50 warvessels were sent to the system using the jump gate installed in every restructured system. They would reach the system in 30 minutes. Meanwhile the 20 scouts that were the nearest to the system immidiately changed course and would arrive in 4 minutes.

Already attacking, and I use my own type of cloaking device (more like devices). Not only does the ship have the standard cloaking device, it also has non-magnetic construction, no exhaust (well, it does, but the exhaust is used to power a few systems, the exhaust being plasma), and RAM coating the ship to further ensure that the ship is going to be hard to find. They can not fire while cloaking or when cloaked.

The hive detected the ripples of explosions as space time was fragmented on the other side of the planet. Instantly the royal guard sprung into offensive pheremonal systems. Plasma cannons chagring up as thy used the planets gravety well to well jump slingshotting them to the other side almost instantly. they zipped out towards their targets black refractive carapacing shimmering against the star studded background. They opend fire upon the uncloaking ships all 13 targetting a sip tagged the Phoenix as it was their closest target upon arrival. 13 bright orange lances of plasma tore through space causing reality to rent under the intense power behind the shots.

The node remained in orbit picking up incomming fighters.

Lenth: 100meters
Speed: Potentially unlimited due to well jumping technology
Manuverability: capable of avoiding projectiles 89% of the time.
Uncapable of evoiding lasor fire.
Will attempt to outrun homing missiles - chance 35% - cannot well jump without detonating missile.
The ships where bourn in space and as such have no problems navigating they natural environment.
Armour: Diamond alloy carapace - designand energy released by the impace. Designed to refract incomming lasor fire - dampening the effect by as much as 75% resulting in small arms fire and stuning pulses being totally ineffectual.
Weaponry: 1 Plasma cannon - fired an intense beem of plasma at its target (orange) equivalent to a discharge of a full set of phasor banks my be fire once every 5 minuetes.
2 bioacid cannons. Fire Ice shards of acid that melt upon contact with a metalic surface due to the friction caused by the impact. pH -15 acid is then sprayed allover the metal as the ice crystals melt instantly. (minus 15) In resurch this acid has melted though to the core of a planet resulting in a volcanoe being borne.

The scouts had entered the system and when they were close enough to the planet they phased back to normal space simultaenously. After they had made a preliminary evaluation of the situation they sent out the following message to the Hive.

*Species 2865, leave all matter you have taken from our system behind and leave at once. Failure to comply will result in your destruction, resisting us would be futile and is not recommended.*

We are the hive, we are perfection. Please supply confirmation of ownership of this system. The hive will seace its actions upon proof of ownership. There are no signs of inhabitance in this area. We would also indicate to you a millitary encounter on the far side of this planet in which our ally's are involved. Re-inforcements will be inbound to support our own forces.

They received the message and decided to stall them untill their reinforcements arrived. Their reply took only seconds and was also transmitted to the other warring parties:

*Our presence is our proof. We posses everything. You, your allies and your enemies are trespassing. You will all be removed. This is your final warning, we cannot be stopped.*

They now charged their shields and approached the Hive creatures. In moments the warvessels would reach the system.

The node exploded into life - spreading out into a 100 mile mass of protective chitchin armour its dark surface reflecting the image of the aproaching fighters.

We are hive, unidentified enemy thretaning to attack workers - royal guard engaging enemy's attacking TFU fleet- request immediate assistance.

They sent the following message: *You are of no use to us. You will be eradicated.*
As the message was sent the warvessels finally arrived. They immidiately charged their shields and along with the scouts they launched their drones. 9000 drones with an octahedron shape now raced towards the royal guards. They only had one focused energy beam emitter and were 4m in length.
Meanwhile the scouts and warvessels began to launch plasma bolts at the node as they were approaching it. The scouts fired rapidly, with only a few seconds for recharging and they could fire with 3 emitters simultaenously. The warvessels fired slower but they were more powerfull. (But they are not as powerful as the plasma bolts fired by the royal guard.)
They needed to solidify their hold on this system so they called for a Restructor with escort to begin restructuring this system.

Species 1 detected the ship coming up behind the scouts and immidiately responded. One of the warvessels changed course and placed itself between the ship and the scouts. It also sent out a green light that slowly moved across the ship. It was scanning them.

The bolts of plasma slammed into the node dissipating slightly but still causing scar damage to its structure. The workers behind began to catalyse into fighters - 20 min process.
The royal guard turned upon their attackers and began to fire pulses of orange plasma into the huge cuboid shaped ship. The lazor fire was refracted almost completly and they began to evade the plasma projectiles receiving only mild scourch marks along their black carapce.

Suddenly all open comms channels where flooeded with the sound of Queen's "Princes of the universe." a very human voice screaming out over the music.
"FOR THE HIVE! lets rock and roll!"

13 silver non-organic fighters 50meters in lenth suddenly appeared using well jump technology to enter the system - the fanatics had arrived.
With sehils up and armour plating at full they charged their ion cannons and plasma pulsars to full before opening fire on the 4 scout ships attacking the node. They swirled around breaking formation as they formed into one wave of 4 and three waves of 3. On the underside of their hulls could clearly be seen the radioactive warning symbol. It appeared the pilots where riding on neuclear missles decked out as fighters.

At the edge of the system a norn queen appeared - however she was no normal bio ship - she had mechanical alterations allowing her to have fighters docked inside her and life support systems for human zealots.

ooc> humans are used as fanatical zealots at this point due to most of the hive fleet being preoccupied in a war with gronde. However the hive will not stand down to an aggresive action.

Species 1 response took a second but was decisive. A 1000 of the drones that were on their way towards the guards changed course and attacked the new arrivals while the remaining 8000 now attacked the guards. The 20 scouts switched to their focused energy beam emitters which were more powerful and attacked the guards. They had taken the beating from the fighters well, shields would be fully charged again in a few minutes. The warvessels in the meantime also had come into the right range to use their focused energy beam emitters on the node except for 2 who changed course to intercept the fighters. The way they had transported themselves into the system was unknown to Species 1 and worth investigating.

Meanwhile the warvessel opposit to the Sparta had only scanned the vessel and did not fire back when the fighters had attacked. It sent a reply to the message of the Fedral Union.
*Your allies will die, abandon your ship and leave this system. Your technology will service us now.*

OOC: Just so you know, the weapons on the warvessels are more powerful then the ones on the scouts which are in turn more powerful then the weapon of the drone. I am also assuming you were attacking the one cube that had placed itself in front of the TAS Sparta. Here (http://www.nationstates.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=140745&highlight=) is a link with the stats of my vessels.

the lead squad of 4 fighters pealed off to form a 5 star shaped attack and piloted right at the cube by the TFU ship diving towards the surface of the structure. another group of 3 broke towards the 8000 drones heading at the royal guard and the remaining 6 engaged the scout vessels.
The royal guard also began targetting the scout vessels surges of orange plasma racing into seperate targets as the royal guard targeted the individuals.

the comms of the zealots had remained open and princes of the univerce had changed to "fire starter" and the screams of anticipation of the zealots could be heard over the comms.

ooc> no method of standard communication can be received atm - as soon as you open any comms channel you get music blaring across.

OOC: ok, but the drones are already attacking your guards.

IC: As the shields of the scouts began to weaken under the barrage they changed strategy. One sphere moved forward to meet the royal guards all the while charging its engines. 6 others changed their attention to the fighters attacking them and began firing on them with their beams, as did the 2 warvessels. They were waiting for their shields to collapse.

But they had no use for the node so the 47 warvessels now launched their antimatter missiles at it all the while they were still firing their energy beams at it. The lonely cube would wait no longer and quickly moved over the Fedral ship and fired at the fighters with a volley of 6 antimatter torpedoes.

The sparta began to manuver around the cube this time fireing 3 contuios phaser beams and vollys of 5 torpedos .

The phaser beams and photon torpedoes were nothing new to Species 1 and the shields stopped them with ease. But the same could not be said about the transphasic torpedoes which went right through the shields as if they were not there and hit the neutronium armour completely destroying it and the tritanium armour beneath it.

Almost an entire side of the cube had been stripped of its armour and this kind of an attack came as something of a suprise. Luckily the neutronium had absorbed most of the damage but the cube still had to repair an entire side of its hull. It quickly turned its damaged side away from the enemy ships and now placed all its attention towards the Fedral vessel while its shields absorbed its attacks. It began to fire back furiously with plasma bolts, energy beams and antimatter missiles. They must have that technology.

The sprata took meduim damge to its sheilds and abltive armour .

The node finally collapsed under the bombardment but the workers had changed into fighters - looking like smaller versions of the royal guard the ships engaged to closest fighters as the node died.
of the 13 royal guard 7 no remained fighting valiently the light lasor fire of the drones shimmering off their refractive armour. They charged weapons again and continued ripping into scouts.

The 4 lead fighters slammed through the cube's sheilding as the damaged side turned to face them they accelerated losing 2 of their number to the sheilds. the remaining 2 enterd holes blow in the side of the cube and detonated. Space time seamed to halt for a split second before the neuclear devices went off deep in the side of the cube and the explosion rippled out into space.

the 3rd group that had headed into the cluster of 8k drones also began to detonate - timed so that the huge neuclear explsions just overlapped. each other.

the remaining 6 fighters engaed the oncomming 1k drones firing pulses of energy into them as their sheilds weakend.

OOC: I was aware of that and I was not worried. And the drones are using energy beams not lasers. :wink:

IC: The cube that had already been damaged now took another pounding. The 2 nuclear explosions ripped a large hole into the side of the cube and power supply became erratic as it readjustted itself to circumvent the damage and install some sensors in the side that was now temporarily a blind spot. The explosion had exposed the core and had almost destabalised it.

Then the phaser fire from the Sparta hit the cube, the 3 got through the shields because they were fluctuating hitting the armour which took the blast and stopping the other 3 by mere chance. But now the torpedoes hit hoom. The shields managed to stop all the quantum torpedoes before collapsing but the transphasic torpedoes toor through the armour and into the hull. Another side of the cube was stripped of its armour, most weapons and many of its sensors.

The cube returned fire now as it turned again to present an armoured side to its opponent helped by the 2 warvessels that now came into weapons range. Meanwhile the fighting had also taken out 500 drones around the guards and 50 of the 1k facing the fighters. The drones around the guards suddenly all changed direction and attacked the fighters coming out of the node. They were helped by 20 warvessels who fired with plasma bolts and energy beams just strong enough to take out a fighter thus cutting down on recharge time.

The scouts meanwhile were still attacking the guards except for 6 who were attacking the fighters. And now the reason for the drones sudden departure was revealed as the lonely scout that had now come into range of the guards suddenly began to bend space with its overcharged engines as if it wanted to escape. But space didn't stop bending and was twisted around the ship almost beyond recognition until the sphere could hold on no longer and released it again. Now came a destructive space-time shockwave which would go over to a mere ripple in 10 km but before that happened it would do much damage.

The royal guard saw space fragmenting as the drones engines over charged - to them it looked like the begginings of a whirlpool immediatly they spiraled away from the space time fluctuation and accelerated up and away.
3 zealot fighters dove into the drones that had moved away seperating so that their explosions would overlap and then exploded their neuclear warheads deep in the great cluster. ooc> you missed this from my last post so am putting it in here :)

ic> The new mini royal guard surged out towards the cube - it having turned its weakend side to them - they moved towards it targetting the core and as one fired a concentrated beam of plasma into the cube. They charged at the cube several being blown away by the incomming fighters and drones still they ignored the damage firing a constant pulse into the core.

The 6 remained zealots broke formation forming into three 2's - two of the pairs each went for one of the warvessels guarding the cube while the final two dove into the oncomming scout and dones turning sheilds at the fron tto max as they discharged all their weapons sending massive surges of plasma into oncomming ships before finally detonating their nukes when they where surrounded by enemy fighters.

At the edge of the system the norn queen was preping 13 more zealots for launch and activating the nukes at the core of the fighters. The ship was rumbaling with the sound of heavy metal music and the comms where being flooded once more with the war cry's of zealots and the sound of bagpipes could be heard as the mad zealots raced through the non queen preping the next fighter wave.

*The Sparta moves around this time firing 10 phaser burst from its arrays * *It fires multiple volleys of torpedoes 15 transpahic ,10 photon torpedoes and 10 quantum torpedoes all home in on the cube* *the Sparta then comes under the cube and fires its ventral phaser cannon* *750,000 terawatts of power pump out in a beam**after it fired its phaser cannon the Sparta then fired a volleys of 10 transpahic torpedoes along with 6 phaser burst from its arrays *

OOC: it was the scout that caused the shockwave not the drones.

IC: Many of the drones already had weakened shields from the last explosion and this last attack took out a lot more. Only 4000 drones were now left attacking the royal guards with their energy beams.

The damaged cube could not withstand that last attack and its core destabalised. There was an explosion after which a small ship tried to flee the cube as it was sucked into the singularity but to no avail. It was completely destroyed as many of the weapons fire of the Sparta hit the small barge. The singularity had now consumed the entire vessel but was still pulling at every bit of matter in the area although not for long.

The 2 warvessels near it were struggling against its pull as they kept on their barrage against the Sparta and also firing 12 antimatter missiles at the approaching fighters.

The scouts and drones that were attacking the fighters were taking damage too. After the explosion only a couple of drones remained which were being pulled toward the singularity and the shields on the scouts were taking a pounding too. Still they pressed on to assist the 2 warvessels in taking out the Sparta.

Only now came the 27 warvessels in action that had bombarded the node. They attacked the remaining royal guards from behind and this wasn't a moment too soon as the shields on 2 of the scouts collapsed.

The fighters launched from the norn queen well jumping into orbit around the planet slingshotting into action behind the 27 ships that had destroyed the Node pulsing beams of plasma into their rears.
The royal guard spiraled around dodging the new weapons fire yet still the odd one or two where cought by the supprise rear attack and fell appart spraying theirinnards into space - 2 royal guard remained - they targetted the weakest of the warvessels that the zealot fighters had been targetting. Converging their orange beams into one with the two zealot fighters they targetted the engine room with a conjoined surge of plasma that slammed into the enemy ship.
The young royal guard took serious damage from the imploding cube losing 7 of their number as their pulled away. Swiching targets to assist the second pair of zealot fighters they also fired a more sporadic and less syncronised pulse of plasma into the ship before swarming up and around the two remaining royal guard forming a new protective unit for the 2 veterans.
The Zealot norn queen began to charge up her emp cannon - capable of hitting even one of the drones at this range its accuracy was insane provided the target had been spotted - arcs of light blue flashed in its maw as the emp charged. Accross the surface of the great ship the power was cut for a split second then time seamed to freeze and the sudden scilence of the comms was terrifying after the loud music that had been blaring away. A huge pulse of emp slammed into the TFU ship dissipating across its surface pushing it away from the fight carrying it on the shock wave. power was then reactivated through the ship and the comms was once more flooded with the sound of heavy metal.

The attack came as a complete suprise and the targeted cube was simply destroyed. Again the singularity powering it became unstable and began to suck what remained of the vessel in. The other cube now turned its attention to them and attacked the constitution class ship with everything it had while it was joined by 2 spheres.

Meanwhile the other four quickly moved to the Sparta untill they almost collided and then they stopped. Instead of cutting their way into the ship which would take far too long, they choose a different tactic. Metal tentacles now came out of them which quickly constricted the ship. Then they began to slowly crush the ship with some while others tried to pull the warp nacelles of the ship. But they did more then trying to pull the ship apart because in the meantime all the tentacles also dosed the hull with theta-radiation.

OOC: I posted that one before I saw your reaction Imodius, so I will react to that one now. And you are forgetting that 20 warvessels have been attacking those fighters since they came out of the node. This will be my last post for the day.

IC: The group of 27 warvessels now divided themselves to take on the fighters and the remaining royal guards. 10 kept attacking the royal guards along with the 14 scouts while 17 now turned to attack the fighters. One of the scouts however couldn't last longer and it was destroyed.

The Ship Returned to its normal state of existence, its weapons shields and armour fully charged, and began to bombard the saucer section, hard.

The Shields Buckled and Failed, the armour refracting the aftershocks and protecting the delicate insides of a ship unseen to many.

The Ship infact, was alive, with merely a outside armoured hull and shielding to appear as any other ship, the inside had no crew, except a lone pilot, the ship could carry many thousands, and now the ships shields were incapacitated, it would carry them.

OOC: How many torpedoes do those things have Fedral? They cant carry much more of them at the rate that they are firing them. And I would like to know what I could learn from studying the saucer section of the sparta?

IC: The spheres that had attacked the Sparta now disengaged from it as they sensed the core destabalising. They tried to phase out of normal space to avoid the blast but only one succeeded and survived. After the crew had been abducted the sphere phased back again next to the saucer, clasped it with its tentacles and phased out again to begin its journey home.

The 19 warvessels that were attacked by the fighters took the blast and lost shielding. The volleys of torpedoes being fired by the Fedral Union were answered by precision firing of the energy beams and plasma bolts but not before they launched their last volley of antimatter missiles at the torpedoes. This brought the amount of torpedoes down signifiicantly but still 20 cubes were no more.

The EMP surge that passed now took out all the drones who lost shielding and together with losses incurred from the royal guards only 2000 drones remained. These now changed tactics for the last time and began to ram the royal guards, both veteran as well as the young.

The bigger ships had more luck. Those with shielding survived the EMP wave with minimal loss to the shields but those without had to replace a lot of circuitry in their outer shell and could not attack nor see for a minute or 2.

Species 1 forces were now down to:
2000 drones but not for long

28 warvessels who dont have any antimatter missiles left

The 10 scouts who were still shielded attacked the norn queen now together with 8 of the warvessels.
The other 12 shielded warvessels attacked the xsavier's with everything they had.
It was good that additional reinforcements had been sent when the warvessels had first entered the system.

Hearing the hails from our allies for assistance the IBSJ Mediator has set a course for the battlezone with its compliment of escorts.

The fleet emerged from subspace 40km away from the main engagement. weapons were powered and reay to be used on the enemy vessels.

The fighters were launched from the bays, while the capital ships took formation. The initial wave of fighters (all of them) headed for the lead species 1 vessel with intent on destroying it while the capital ships moved in.

The Royal guards evaded the incomming drones skimming around them with ease giving them a coating of bio-acid spray as they whizzed past.

The forward vessels charged up their beam cannons. Now that the vessels were ay maximum range (25km) they could at least open fire.
All five Sathanas class warships let rip with the forward beam cannons striking the closest species 1 ship, while the fighters began their bombing runs. Dodging in and out of the species 1 weapons fire the mara and astaroth fighters released their payload of missiles which targetted the engines of most of the species 1 warcraft.

OOC: They will keep trying and the drones are very agile. They are also firing their energy beams as they try.

IC: As the wave passed it only kept the unshielded vessels from recovering. Also 50 drones were taken out by the pulse. The 8 warvessels attacking the queen now changed tactic and used one continues energy beam on a organic part of the creature to drill as deep as possible. Meanwhile the 10 scouts approached the queen until they were in reach after which they launched tentacles at her which landed on the mechanical part sticking out. They magnetically locked themselves on to those parts after which tubes sprung out of the end of the tentacles which sunk into the parts. They then began to release nanobots which began to rearrange the internal circuitry and also releasing nanites which began to dissassemble the parts to make copies of themselves. This should result in your mechanical parts malfunctioning unless you find a way to counteract it.

The attack from IB however forced 4 scouts and 3 warvessels to change course and they began to attack the large capital ships with plasma bolts and focused energy beams. The scouts went far faster then the warvessels and they were now getting seperated as they attacked the Shivans.

Although shields were still holding the ones who had lost shields were now in problems as they too were hit by the attack sustaining damage which could not be repaired because nothing near the hull worked.

As the battle in that sytem raged on a fleet was dispatched from the bordering alpha quadrent sytem J -09 (has a star base and ship yard) at maxuim warp these ships then jumped in the sytem and move towreds the cube like ships

The incoming vessels were targetted by all forward beam cannons. The intense energy smashed into the enemy ships rupturing hulls and melting metal. However the enemy vessels returned fire.

The energy beams smashed into the shields, however the shields at 100% merely absorbed the long range energy beam. The enemy vessels were still being fired upon. the 12 Ravana destroyers took point intent on engageing the enemy scouts. A volley of 2000 micro missiles was fired from each ship depleteing their firing chambers more were being loaded in. (micro missiles are what the say they are. missiles about the size of a hand however they hold a compressed store of antimatter equivalent to a High yeild Photon torpedo. The missiles rely on momentum from the launchers to carry them to their target so there is not much dodging.)
The ravana class warships also opened up with their forward beam cannons. not much would be left of the Species vessels.

The queen rotated pushing the metalic section into the path of the focused beams - the 10 or so seconds that the organic section where no longer underfire was enough time for it to seal over and regenerate. The queen latched onto the tenticles with her own draging the ships closer before pulling them into a hanger and then closing them in. Inside they where disabled by Zealots carring emp pulse rifles and cutting rifles. They began to tear appart the ships.

The queen finished rotating showing her maw to the attacking warvessels as a deep purple ball of plasma began to build up.

The young royal guard did not have sufficient refractive armour to stop the pulsesfrom the drones however the vetrens did. The weak pulses simply refracted off the black carapace. The royal guard then moved towards the scouts firing pulses of their orange plasma into the ships targeting their engines attempting to disable their manuverability while the young royal guard began firing in pulses at the drones without sheiling.

Probe #118 silently dropped out of hyperspace near the cataclysmic battle. Its tiny, robotic brain processed two directives: 1: avoid combat and 2: Observe TFU vessels, especially energy signatures and markings.

The tiny, six foot long probe began collecting data with its passive sensors and its visual surveilance devices.

Then, when it felt satisfied that it had gathered all the necessary information, the probe departed just as innocuously as it had entered the system. Following a round-about and virtually untraceable way back, it returned to an unmarked asteroid in the vicinity of Sol within days. There, it was handled with the utmost care, and the data contained was downloaded into the archives.

Its task done, the probe was dismantled and melted down into its component elements, leaving virtually no trace that it had ever been there at all.

There would be no evidence of what was to come...

IC: The scouts responded to the attack by firing plasma bolts and sweeping their energy beams through the large cloud. A lot still got through and 2 scouts lost shields and sustained heavy damage. They phased out of normal space and went home. The other 2 were now in range and began to bend and twist space with their engines. The bend it more and more untill they suddenly released it, creating a space-time shockwave which would subside to a ripple in 10 km but do massive amounts of damage to all matter within that range. When the 2 shockwaves met they created an ever bigger shockwave which hit the scouts who were simply destroyed.

Meanwhile the scouts inside the queen had little options remaining. There was only one thing they could do.
They selfdestructed by destabalising their core which consequently sucked in the entire vessel although these quantum singularities were still hungry.

The attack from the Fedral Union was devastating. It took out every cube except the 3 attacking the Shivans. They were now joined by the drones which followed them and began to attack the Shivan fighters as these last cubes accelerated towards the Shivan capital ships. The cubes fired forward at the capital ships as they also fired back at the royal guards.

The 4 unshielded spheres that remained after the attack from Fedral also moved towards the Shivans now. They had no weapons and had to rely on telemetry from the cubes and drones to know where they were going. Their engines were also working sluggishly because power was still erratic. So far the hull had protected the inner parts of the vessel from damage and the repair systems worked franticly to get shielding for the sections that had been vaporized by the attack. The spheres were picking up speed.

OOC: More action!

Collision was imminent, the species vessels moving straight for the capital ships the pride of the Shivan fleet. Another volley of missiles was launched, they beam cannons concentrated all of their firepower on the nearest starship. But sadly that would not be enough. The ravana class warships set an intercept course for the Species vessels insuring the larger capital ships would survive. But there was one last weapon to be used.

The forward claws of each Sathanas closed inwards, the power massed through their systems. Aiming at the enemy vessels the warships discharged their energy in a brilliant subspace shockwave. The wall of seering energy rippled through space on a course with the species vessels. The Shivan fighters in the way were instantly destroyed. Sadly one of the Ravana warships clipped the edge of a compression wave, its port hull ripped from its body. Shivans were sucked out intot he dead of space along with their Argon atmosphere.

As a last act of defence the IBSJ Mediator powered up its temporal weapon. Chraging it to 100% it was ready to make an incursion.

IC: The drones catched most of the missiles with their weapon or by colliding with them. The rest of the missiles hit the cubes which only weakened the shields further.

The subspace shockwave was something else though. The cubes immidiately changed their formation into a single file which headed straight into the shockwave. One cube bore the brunt of the attack and not only lost shielding but also a good deal of his forward hull. Only 100 drones survived the blast by flying in between the cubes and these last 100 now quickly moved forward to meet the Ravana class warships while the cubes changed their course slightly.

They passed over the Shivan ships instead of colliding with them and as they concentrated their fire on the capital ships they kept on moving towards the outskirts of the system. They seemed to be making an escape.

As the cubes began to flee the Fed fleet moved at maxuim speed to instersept . the entier fleet began manuvering around the cubes and fireng A Barrges of torpedos and high powerd phasers massive ammounts of phaser fire and hundreds of torpedos Homed in on Each cube

OOC: ok that is just plain silly. First of all those cubes were very far away when you began your pursuit and they were flying at nearly the speed of light although I must admit I forgot to mention that. There is no way you could catch up with them that easy and even overtake them.

The royal guard recognised the vortext signatures that the scouts engines where causing and immediatly banked away just as the bent space flexed - the vetrens escaped unharmed however the young royal guard sufferd from their innexperience many of them being cought. 6 now remained.
The royal guard locked onto the fleeing cube's gravety signatures. They prepared to well jump draging many of the Lagging TFU ships with them suddenly they apeared on the edge of the TFU ships gravety feilds and opend fire surges of range plasma spiraling towards the fleeing ships targeting their propulsion systems.
Inside the zealot norn queen the ships imploded as the energy signatures where detected the ship flushed the hangerbay blasing them out into space along with he zealots that where in the hanger. The loss of humans was acceptable to the hive even if they where patriotic.

IC: The cubes took the damage, their shields critical. The one cube that had already been damaged and had lost shielding now began to slow down but it still moved at great speed towards the edge of the system.

The species ships made a lateral run along the bodies of the capital ships, They were rewarded with fire from the port and starboard beamcannons but the ships were to fast.

The enemy fire smashed into the shields severely weakening then, where in the case of the *Minieth* the forwards hields were buckled and enemy fire met the front hull. The outer armour was seered and broke away leaving the unprotected secondary hull venerable. A ravana destroyer pulled up infront of the weakspot guarding the warships damaged section.

The species vessels sped by the Shivan fleet, no attempt at pursuit was to be made. The jump drives were engaged and the fleet moved into subspace. There was a new threat to be seen to.

IC: Just after the Shivans left, the reason for the flight of the cubes became clear. Suddenly a huge vessel entered the system right in front of the damaged cubes.

It was 45km in length, 5km in height and 15km in width and they would soon find out it had numerous weapons. It was a Restructor and he was not alone. With it came an escort of 200 warvessels screening the huge rectangle.

In this formation could be seen a storm of dust which upon closer examination were revealed to be drones. 58.000 drones darting between the vessels as they prepared to attack. The damaged cubes now attached themselves to the Restructor to help them regenerate. A message was sent too:

*Resistance is futile.*

OOC: Actually I can do a lot worse then this as you have read in my factbook. Oh no wait, you haven't read it. One vessel is one individual except for the Restructor which requires 4 individuals. It can take as much as 10 individuals to manage a system and actual work is done by mindless machines. I have about 130 now so that is 1300 individuals not used in combat at all. I have a 1000 scouts roaming the galaxy, mapping everything so they are not available either. Then there is the minimum 200 warvessels to protect each system although in reality the inner systems have less while the outer systems have more but its a nice average. That would make 26.000 individuals occupied with defense alone and a further 600 individuals tied up in other RP's. So 28.900 individuals are not available for the force that I sent to the system. All in all I could sent about 100 million ships without getting out of character but I wont do that because of 2 reasons. First of all that wouldn't be realistic when you look at how fast you can produce vessels. Even with my advanced and large production facilities it would take a week or 2 to make a vessel. And about 100 can be made simultaenously. Yes I know I could still field a few million easily but that is where reason number 2 comes into play.
It wouldn't be fun! Right now my vessels have little defense against those transphasic torpedoes although that is going to change once the technology obtained from IB is installed into all of my vessels, but for now it is still going to be a massacre although this time on both sides.

The royal guard banked away pulling back out of weapons range before well jumping back into the system.

The Zealot queen locked onto the large swarm and well jumpedino them before her core exploded - the moon sized ship shrank to the size of a meteor before exploding with he force of a supernova - her internal star was forced to explode going critical - The flash of the nova hit one of the systems outer planets frying it - the wave of energy destroyed a seconds atmosphere.

OOC: Imperial brits, your fleet is very near godmoded too. There is no way you can have more than 1 SJ Sathanas at your age. Especially since the Sathanas is 'better' than a colossus, and Klonor (Who was a major space power only has three of those.)

Although I must admit that compared to Klonor's colossus, your Sathanas' are not that special.

Species 1: Your fleet does seem rather large, I could understand you having millions of smaller ships, but you do seem to have too many warvessels for a nation with the resources you have available to you at the moment. However, you seem to be a good RPer who doesn't numberwank, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.

I will explain my fleet. I have an ally who is inactive at present Jaratia. he is future tech. He has allowed me to use his shipyards and production facilities whie he is away. Also I am a member of the UTA which allows me to have an added bonus as i am also allowed to use TFU shipyards. Alone i could not have these ships but i have allies. where as species 1 does not.

OOC: I gave a good explanation in my factbook and I will stick to it. Besides, I am facing both the Hive as those Federation ships and I know what a transphasic torpedo does.

IC: The appearance of the queen came as a suprise and the consequent explosion even more. Only 12.000 drones survived because they had a vessel between them and the explosion. Of the warvessels only 60 survived this attack and they had all lost shielding. The damaged cubes that had interfaced with the Restructor were among the casualties. And that vessel itself? Its shields had been up and it had a lot of mass. When the explosion cleared, what was once a massive construct was now reduced to halve its size. It would take time to readjust its systems so that it could fight again.

For a moment there was silence.
Then on all channels could be heard something that had happened only 2 in their history. Increadable electronic chatter sounding like a scream which just kept on screaming as the warvessels accelerated to 0.99c and attacked the Fedral ships with everything they had accompanied by the drones who pitched in with their weaponry.

ooc> I take it that as you survived a blast that took out a planet that was over 10,000 km away you have no sheilding left at all?

ic> The royal guard converged firing single pulses as one into the oncomming ships - huge pulses of orange plasma mergedinto one focusing on one ship until it was destroyed before switching to the next they raced through the TFU ships using them as cover while firing into the oncomming species ships.

OOC: You are correct. None of the surviving ships have shields and their armour has been almost vaporized by the blast too. I will wait with posting damage untill TFU has posted what kind of damage my attack did.
