The Xanthalian Ministry of Intelligence and the Xanthalian Ministry of Justice released a joint report to the Triumvirate and Council today, detailing the discovery of over fifty insurgents from the Incorporated States of New Xanthal. These agents were reportedly attempting to raise rebellion in the Xanthalian populace. Faced with overwhelming evidence against them, the head CEO of the Incorporated States has stated that he will release a full statement this evening. Tensions are already high as New Xanthalians are arrested; and the Minister of the Armada and Military is asking the Triumvirate for permission to mobilize. The situation is only further complicated by the Republic's relations with the New Aranamor Alliance and the voided Treaty of Aranamor. The Xanthalian Triumvirate has pleaded calm on all sides until a solution can be found. In the event that New Xanthal refuses to halt its activities, the Triumvirate is expected to request permission from the NAA to blockade the Relafia system and screen ships passing through for agents. With the New Xanthalian private space forces already mobilized around their territory, we can only hope that the situation is diffused as soon as possible.

The following statement was released by CEO Donald Trump at 20:00 this evening.

"On behalf of my corporation and the other corporations of New Xanthal, I pledge that we will work against Xanthalian communism for as long as it takes to bring the free market to Xanthalians everywhere. Our New Aranamor Alliance friends and our own space forces will defend us against the might of the Xanthalian Armada as we continue to light the fire of hope in the Xanthalian state. The Xanthalian government may turn its hoses upon us, but capitalism will not be extinguished! I call upon all god-fearing and free market nations to help us in our quest against the red tide! This is about freeing a nation, and we will not rest until the Xanthalian people are free!"

"We cannot stand by in the face of such threats. Let it be known that we will defend ourselves against any and all agression by New Xanthal or the NAA. We call on the New Aranamor Alliance to help us stop the flow of these criminals into our nation and order the Incorporated States of New Xanthal to cease and desist. We do not want to fight, but if it becomes a matter of preserving the equality and welfare of our citizens we will do whatever is necessary. For now we will continue to capture and hold New Xanthalian agents without charging them as a gesture of good faith. It may still be possible to avoid a conflict if the NAA cooperates and the international community refuses to answer Donald Trump's ridiculous call to arms."

Grand Prince Dmitri looked up frome the stacks of reports surronding him. "Yes? What is it? If its news of another damn Federal attack..." Taking the latest news wire from an aide, he quickly read the document. " New Xanthal Insurgents...Alliance friends...'will defend'...What the hell are those people doing over there. Give me that damn pen," he scribbles furiously for a few minutes, "now let me get back to work! By the Spoot its hard enough fighting a war without having upstart countries to deal with..."

The lesser star of Thalim has just risen above the building lined horizon – a horizon very much similar to an old man’s decaying row of broken teeth. Turning to the opposing horizon, which has being missing a star for only a few hours, a similar dentistry fearing line of housing can be seen. Crowds of independent and semi-dependant dark skinned gnomes line the wide streets like blackened bacteria, rushing to their respective hollowed teeth to rot and fester after the day’s market.
In the middle of the massive city, a sprawling fifty-story palace sat like a beached whale - Glistening, golden paint and all.

We may yet gain a foothold in the land of the infidels,he thought with a smile widening across his leathery face.
High-priest Achilles slumped back into the water, gulping down a glass of a black, oily substance. A slight grimace flashed in his face before the sinister smile returned.

A disarmed Carrier transport detached from the Chusuk Central Hive and entered the flashing wormhole torn open at the Hive’s command, directed at the nearest Xanthalian outpost. The ship carried a messenger ready to recite the words of the high-priest that must reach the ears of the Xanthal Triumvirate.

The Triumvirate of the Socialist Republic of Xanthal has ordered the assembly of a 100-ship task force to institute a blockade of all New Xanthalian planets and facilities. The force is expected to move out in twelve hours.

This blockade on New Xanthalian Territory wil have a huge impact on our trading relations with them. So every transportship, which flys a trading route between our Outposts and New Xanthalian planets or facilities, gets an escort of two lightly armed corvette class ships. They are supposed to make sure that our transportships are able to trespass this blockade without problems or getting ransacked.
Should the conflict go further we will support our trading partner with military experts and material. In the case of an attack bye the blockade ships we will mobilize our fleets and troops in this sector for further actions.

Xanthalian intelligence has reported that agents of that nation are actively supporting and even participating in the continued insurgency in our nation. While we certainly do not blame you for this, we would ask that you take action to warn your ally of continuing this activity. If you can work it out amongst yourselves we will not confront them. Many thanks, and best wishes for the continued prosperity of your nation.


The Xanthalian fleet has left the Aellis system bound for the Relafia system, and will arrive in one hour. The fleet consists of 100 ships; 10 Andromeda class, 20 Intrepid class, 28 Sabre class, 20 Dreadnaught class, 5 Zabertini class, 15 Super Dreadnaught class, and 2 Eclipse class. These ships will be tasked with screening all outgoing vessels from New Xanthalian installations.

Planet Solomon, Spoot System
The Skeelzanian War Room was strangely calm. No alarms signifying a Federal attack, no red arrows cutting across the frontier, nothing. The border dispute had come to a grinding halt, allowing the Grand Prince to turn his attention elsewhere.

"Computer: Alliance Map, Arenumberg Sector, Relafia system." A map of New Xanthal filled the main vidscreen. A large, red arrow marked 'XANTHAL' cut across its outer border, steadily approaching the inner planets. "So they've arrived...Computer, patch me through to Fleet Command. I want a list of every currently unassigned Man-of-war in Skeelzania." The list didn't take long to appear. The bulk of the Navy had been deployed to the border, leaving only a few vessels in the core systems. There were still some to work with, however. "Computer, dispatch orders to the 21st Cruiser wing, 22nd and 23rd corvette wings: [code:1:91157637d7]Proceed to Relafia system, take up monitoring positions near primary planets. Mahon, The Den System
Commodore Van Cleef read the order with dissapointment. His ship, the Spear of Solomon, and three other Ravanos CorpSac cruisers had been ordered to stay put after an ugly diplomatic incident. For the past few weeks now they had been at the rogue planet of Mahon, making the local pirates very nervous. And now they were relegated to observer duties. Perfect.

"Comms, relay our orders to the rest of the squadron. Give command to jump to the Relafia system on my orders. There we will rendevous with the corvettes."

15 minutes later, outer Relafia system
The Skeelzanian naval vessels fizzled out of hyperspace and back into realspace. They made for a pretty small fighting force: 4 Ravanos cruisers, 20 Draco Kais, and 2 Core command ships. Not very impressive, but that wasn't their mission. They were here to observe, and until they received further orders, that was all.

The Xanthalian fleet slows to sublight speed just outside the system and bypasses the Tristan Aloman-claimed seventh planet, as well as the sixth and fifth planets. Reaching the New Xanthalian world Relafia IV, they spread out and quickly establish defensive grids around the planet itself, as well as the many spaceports that surround it. A few of the vessels move off further to cover the entire area. Within minutes the normal flow of traffic out of the area has been locked down.

The thirty-odd ships under Trump Enterprises' control take defensive positions, but do not attack. A few other corporations' ships join them, but most just stay in port.

Admiral Ix and the 1st LRRSF battlefleet will be sent to the aid of Xanthal against these New Xanthalian renegades, as will the 6th Army Corps, under the temporary command of Duke Lenni of New Brunswick.

We thank our friends in the Anarcho-syndicist commune for their assistance. You may divert your battlefleet to the fourth planet in the Relafia system to assist in securing the spacelanes. You may send your ground troops as well, where they can be usefully employed to help screen passengers and cargo at spaceports. When your forces arrive, they can report to Admiral Hachigoro Kuramoto aboard XAS-699. Once again we thank you for giving your support without even a request on our part. This will not be forgotten by the Republic.

Relafia system, near Relafia I

A massive ball of blinding white light appears in open space with menacing suddenness. Moments later, the blockade flotilla, just launched from the Chusuk Central Hive, oozes out into space.

The fifty, semi-organic, starships fall into a traditional disorganized block and proceed to the nearest New Xanthal planet on Ion Emission drives.

Master Quslaff, in the information chamber of his Siphon Command Dreadnaught, is quickly notified of the small Skeelzanian prescence near the fringes of the system. His small black eyes narrow - giving the particular feeling that he would do anything to see those radioactive humans in the Tirdynni gladiator pits.

Meanwhile, a lone Stinger Destroyer Jumps to the Xanthal fleet to promptly and pristinely announce the arrival of the Bandalok flotilla.

Admiral Hachigoro Kuramoto promptly responds from the bridge of XAS-699. "Greetings friends! Please take up positions on the security perimeter. Your task will be to intercept and, if necessary, destroy any ships that attempt to cirvumvent our checkpoints."

"Bandalok ships have arrived in-system, sir."

"Very well lieutenant, keep me informed." Van Cleef's left hand involuntarily twitched. 46 years ago, a "rogue" Bandalok fleet had attacked Azuk II in the Spoot system, while his old Fenrir cruiser was in spacedock. The gnomes had given her and the planet quite a pounding before reinforcements arrived. He considered raising the alert level to 'yellow', but thought better of it. A Ravanos had considerably more firepower than a Fenrir.

"My lord, orders coming in from Solomon."

"Very well, Page. Display."

Secret Transmission to the New Xanthalian Leaders:
Due to the enourmos amount of military strength against your nation it is impossible for us to keep the support bye our guerilla units ongoing. We cannot risk getting actively involved in this conflict so our soldiers are called back to our outposts. But we will not join the blockade, we will keep neutral to all factions and try to keep most of our trading routes working.
So we hope for an improvement in this situation soon, maybe a stop of your actions against the xanthalian regime could be the best way leading to an end of this conflict.

A few minutes later a small brigg class ship enters the space around the blockade an contacts the xanthalian flagship.

Dearest Leader of the xanthalian blockade fleet,
I have the order to inform you about our present position in this conflict. The Dominion of Gwainnatha has decided to keep neutral and all military ships will pull out of this sector, except our transportships, their escorts and some salvageships, which will react on S.O.S. calls and try to rescue the survivors - our covert operations also have been stopped. In addition to that our supply stations in this region will be open for every ship, they are supposed to be neutral ground where even enemy factions are not allowed to attack each other. Finally we agree to your terms of the blockade and allow you to inverstigate and screen our ships and their cargo. But it is in our interest that those tradeships carrying food, luxury or other civilian products, which were scanned bye your forces, are allowed to trespass the blockade. We hope that you will agree to our terms as well as we did to yours and hope for a fast solution in this conflict.

A reply comes quickly to both parties.

Skeelzania:
"We're fine over here, but if you really want to help you can join the perimeter patrol with Bandalok's ships. Keep them out of trouble, we know that their methods aren't always the kind we want to be associated with."

Gwainnatha:
"I have been informed of our status with your nation and its agents, and am pleased that you have seen fit to end your involvement peacefully. Because of your decision, the Republic will not take any action against your nation. This blockade will prevent the transfer of illegal goods and agents out of New Xanthal. All other goods will be allowed to pass through. Expect heavy delays until we leave though, as our inspections will radically slow the rate at which ships can leave. You have clearance to retrieve your agents and take them back to your own territory. Your ship will not be hindered."

Hours later:
A heavy gwainn. transportship, named GSF Rubita, has gone through the blockade and the screening and uploads the guerilla troops to bring them home.
Meanwhile the diplomatist's ship has arrived at Bulkstone, the military oupost in a remote, nearly unexplored asteroid field. From there the ambassador supervises the retreat of the 12th gwainn. spacefleet, consisting of 35 ships and the flagship, the heavy warship GSF Lakota, into neutral space.
The mood of all confounded men is irritated because of the approaching difficulties.

"Damnit. Patrol with the gnomes...Comms, notify the Bandalok ships. Helm, bring us into formation." Slowly the Skeelzanian ships accelerated, trying to keep a respectable distance between them and the Gnome ships.

OOC: just to make sure, is Relafia IV the only N.X. colonized planet? Or does Relafia I also have military installations, a civilian/miners population etc.

The 1st battlefleet emerges from hyperspace "near" (a safe distance from) Relafia IV. The rediculously large force could probably rain doom upon New Xanthal single-handed if given the chance.

Admiral Ix stands on the bridge of his flagship, the LRRSV Baba O'Riley, a giant Baba O'Riley battlecarrier.

The holographic tactical displays display the space around the battlegroup, and the icon'd display screens serve a similar purpose. The bridge is comfortably lit, with light, unobtrusive colors and minimal carpeting. Sensors operators sit at their consoles around the bridge.

"Attention, Xanthalian forces. This is the 1st Battlefleet, LRRSF. We have come to assist in the blockade of Relafia four, over."

The 1st BF is quite a sight, consisting of battlecruisers and destroyers, as well as a cloud of frigates in a very loose, inconsistent formation. Freighters, science ships, and hospital ships also accompany the fleet. A group of 10 troopships accompanies the BF, carrying the 6th army corps.

Expecting to be used in an invasion, the 6th came fully equipped with tanks, APCs, and atmospheric equipment. They were not trained for ship-board operations- that was a job for the marines embarked on the various combat ships.

Bandalok: OOC: There are no inhabitants on Relafia I. The colony there is abandoned. There are active spaceports in orbit of Relafia IV, and those are being blockaded too.

IC: The Xanthalian Admiral promptly sends a reply to the LRR fleet. "Welcome to the party. I am Admiral Hachigoro Kuramoto, commanding this fleet aboard XAS-699. I am uploading a tactical map of the blockade area to you now. Take up the empty positions in sectors nineteen through thirty. Prepare to offload your forces to the stations designated."

Gwainnatha: OOC: New Xanthal has no government, remember? You can just upload your units.

With a massive flare of visible ions, the thirty Bandalok Stingers and five Claws accelerated and began regular patrols that would take them around the immediate sector of Relafia IV.
The command Siphon, along with all five Scarabs and Carriers formed in distant orbit of the planet - monitoring the situation, and stopping the occasional New Xanthal transport.

A message is sent to the trailing Skeelzanian ships.

The message is accompanied by a map of the sector, detailing the patrol patterns of the Bandalok ships.

It takes only three days for stockholders to oust Donald Trump as CEO of Trump Enterprises. Hours later, what few ships remain guarding the planet withdraw and a public statement is released.

"On behalf of Trump Enterprises I apologize for the trouble we have caused. The misguided Donald Trump has been voted out of his position as Chief Executive Officer, and I have been installed as a temporary replacement. I want the Socialist Republic and the New Aranamor Alliance to know that I am shutting down this corporation's subversive networks as I speak, and that Trump Enterprises will be recalling all of its operatives pending prosecution of the guilty parties. There are two other corporations that were working on the anti-Xanthalian operation, but those are in the process of being bought out by Trump Enterprises. I would like to thank the Xanthalian government for its patience in this situation. You are welcome to maintain your blockade until you are satisfied that our operations have ceased."

"It is gratifying to us that we are able to announce the cessation of the New Xanthalian blockade and the return of all illegal New Xanthalian agents to their homeland. The Socialist Republic thanks its allies for their support and expresses its confidence in Maurey Emerson's leadership of the largest company in the Conglomerated Corporations."


The Xanthalian blockade begins to dissolve slowly as troops are recalled and ships move off one by one. Within two hours the entire Xanthalian operation has left the Relafia system.

Without so much as a word to the remaining Skeelzanian fleet, the Bandalok blockade flotilla disappeared in a series of bright, white flashes - heading staight for the Tyndall system, a course that would take them very close to a certain Principality's border. But one that would end in home territory.

Perhaps another day...

"Well, that was sudden."

"Indeed, commodore. What are our orders now?"

Van Cleef thought for a moment. "I suppose, since the blockade is effectivly over, we are to return to Solomon. They'll want us for increased security for the Founding Day festivities. Yes...Navigation, set course of Solomon."

A few minutes later, the Skeelzanian fleet went the way of Bandalok's, disappering in a breif flash of light, homeword bound through hyperspace.

Seeing that they are no longer needed, the 1st battlefleet hyperspaces out to starchaser 3.
