“Last Flight of the Elsinore”

Re – Entry over Central Sisgardia 11:00

It was a beautiful day over Liacairin, there was hardly a cloud in the sky and below bells rang as people celebrated another flawless afternoon. The sky was empty apart from the vapor trail of one ship, descending from orbit, heading east over the bulk of central Sisguardia, its trajectory and source would take it to Yagdrassil, eventually.
The Elsinore was the ship, a Tarran transport, its cargo was a large 'metal' sphere, even the pilot didn't know its contents, only it needed to be delivered to the council as soon as possible. The ships' pilot pushed the freighter's trajectory into an even steeper descent, adjusting its sails so they wouldn't burn up in the heat. He wanted to get home too.

Someone studying the ship from the surface, as it made its decent would have noticed it j ink slightly, as if had been hit by something.

All over Liacairin, one by one, every electronic device blinked off and on again

Someone studying the ship from the surface, as it made its decent would have noticed it make a long smooth arc back towards space.

Adrith Gevoddan, the pilot of the vessel fought with the controls, the ship sored manically towards orbit, in the cargo bay, the man sized sphere of metal began to glow, Adrith, for one moment he herd a voice in his head, The Child knows the sins of its Father

Someone studying the ship from the surface, would have seen a bright flash, from the ship, and when the light of the explosion died away, the bells of Liacairin would be tolling a warning.

[ooc: hello and welcome to the Cairn Tarra show! I am your host! Our contestants today are anyone in the Sisgardian Fellowship of nations, the game is 'exact ally what you want it to be' 70% of this RP is player driven, so really its your show :P please note i am very dyslexic]

WHAT THE F*** WAS THAT PRIVATE! shouted captain mannings
i don't know sir, give me a second

This was unusual, and as a captain of an advance warning station in the DLM Mannings HATED unusual. it usually meant paperwork or war. He was hoping for the former.

it appears that it was a ship entering the admosphere sir....from the style and projected trajectory. it appears to be of cairn tarran manufacture.

Mannings sighed to himself good, paperwork.

survivors?

not likely at that altitude, sir.

right then. Private, write up the appropriate reports and send them out to the necessary department heads

Yes sir

A small craft is launched from Pilon toward the site. It was of a previously unseen design but very obviously Pilonese in design, with the same Biomettalic hull plating and sleek fishlike design come to be known by the Pilonese designers. I proximity pulse is periodically sent out to home in on the ship.

The Piloneese ship reaches the site of the explosion quickly, the Tarran ship was completely vaporised, and the ships sensors' show that there are disturbances in the local space much like those caused in the wake of a nuclear explosion, however the ambient radiation levels remain normal

Yagdrassil - Gulf of Ador– 11:10

Three ships, two transports and the phoenix depart the city and make haste easterly, towards Ath Olad, Continental Cairn Tarra,
there is another flash, barley visible from the cost of the surrounding landmass.
Shadowseeker and Void stalker, two of the great ships of the tarran fleet. drop like stones into the sea below, there huge mass causing a wave that all but swamped the lowest level of the city-tree

The Pilonese ship finishes its scans, taking in the readings. Other ships similar in design are also launched and sweep forward trying to trace similar readings in other parts of Sisgardia.
A small case of Borrowed Nanites from Transhumanism are dropped on the site to restore the ecological damage to the area and collect any residual remnants of the crashed ship for study and investigation.

ic: Imperial Throne Room

The throne room was very calm compared to the other places like stock markets, control centers and militairy installations. It was only a couple of minutes after the incident that a finely dressed male elf walked through the wide open doors of the throne room and straight for the throne. There was urgency in his step, but he din't run or look panicked, rather calm in fact. He bowed as soon as he reached the foot of the throne, in which none other then Taurevanimë sat. "I bring news about the incident that caused our electronics to blink off and on my queen." He said in a melodic voice. "There wasn't any major damage inflicted, but people are a little frightened. Experts say that everything will be back to normal within the hour." He then looked up at Taurevanimë. "You may rise." She said, also gesturing him to do so with her right hand. "Is anything known about the origin of this anamoly?" She asked as he stood back up. "Well, it appears to have originated from a Tarran transport reëntering the atmosphere. Sadly the ship was destroyed for reasons unkown, so we can not question it's crew." "Thank you, if that was all then you are dismissed." She said and got out of her throne while he walked out of the room. She walked into her private study and sat behind her computer and started to write a message to Cairn Tarra.

Dear leader(s) of Cairn Tarra. I send this message to you after the recent events in my nation, during which most of our electronics blinked off and on in Laicairin. I have been informed that there is a large posibillity that it may have been caused by one of your transports flying overhead at the time. Unfortunately the transport exploded shortly after the incident. I hope you will be fully coöperative in assisting us in solving this matter.

The communications officer tries to raise the council using something a little more old fashioned, nothing but static interference and dead space rise from the tree.

Over Liacairin what appears to be a fireball streaks toward the east leaving a bright trail of luminescent resonant photons and the thick smell of ozone. It is the pieceship Stormcaller returning to Yagdrassal in panic.

Fighters were quickly scrambled as the fireball flew over Taurenor, they din't want anything related to the incident escape their clutches, and this piece wouldn't be in Taurenor space for long.
With roaring engines a wing of V-22 Fion's raced for the object at hyper-sonic speeds. Constantly sending it radio messages telling that it should identify itself and chance it's course to an airstrip nearby.

perusing craft this is Stormcaller, a great dishonor has been done to us that we must start to put right alone, please understand, violence will not revel answers, only more violence, and none of us want that.

The Stormcaller shot on, its velocity fast approching speeds which could only be described as 'orbital' in its wake a trail of ozone slowly dissipated

ooc: Yay, finally the forums work.

ic. The aircraft kept persuing the Stormcaller, which was quickly pulling away from them with it's insane speed. They soon had to give up chase as the Stormcaller was leaving Taurenor airspace.
So in order to keep track of the Stormcaller a single vessel in orbit was assigned to keep visual contact with it.

Yagdrassal – Sea of Leaves - Sisguardia 11:30

The Stormcaller arced high into the stratosphere in order to kill off some of the velocity it had built up, it returned to sea level in a long series of 'S' bends to kill off yet more of its suicidal speed. At last it came to a halt over Yagdrassal, three of the seven crew left the ship in a shuttle to rendezvous's with what ever fragment of the population reminded, they alighted on the main docking platform in front of Yagamead, and were greeted by a panic stricken technician.

“some sort of EMP, crippled the AI, we cant get Lammas restarted, and something cut the data cabling to the mainland... Shadowseeker and Voidstalker dropped like flys, we cant get into them.”

“the council?”

“we think they left for Ath Olad along with about 30 % of the population, we think they triggered the EMP as they left Ja'annis To.....”

The platform shook violently as a huge comotion erupted overhead, on of the great branches of Yagdrassal fell, missing the upper platform by a mater of meters, Midgard forest was not so lucky, the tree shook as the branch clipped the side of the huge structure, ripping off nearly 2 acres of land, which plummeted nearly half a mile to the sea below.

“that was the communications rig!... it... it has to be sabotage, they knew exactally how to cripple the Tree”

Continental Ath Olad – 11:45

Sisguardian sensors mounted on the various orbital platforms pick up a strange disturbance form Ath Olad, pulses of magnetic energy magnitudes greater then any natural processes could produce emanated from a point source in the forest, the more delicate apparatus detected that the fluctuation was not limited to the electromagnetic spectrum. Entire shaves of quantum particles were being polarized, accelerated, destroyed or otherwise effected, the purpose of the field seemed clear to those who could reed it “No Entry”

A day or two had passed, the strange anomaly still remained in Ath Olad persisted, the coastal towns were a hive of activity, some people packing there possessions and heading for the forest where the field was emanating from, they seemed glad and would sing a small verse, to the tune of the tarran national anthem as they walked away from the settlements

now finally brothers we are free
of war and harm and treachery
Albrecht has forged a path
Albrecht alone can see

On Yagdrassal a second provisional council had formed, the populace trying despratly to repair the damage and operate the cities infrastructure manually, while Ja'annis and her team despratilly tried to restart LAMMAS.

A temporary radio link had been established using the transceiver on Stormcaller. The field had somehow scrambled local space so none of the more complex transmission protocols seemed to work....
it was broadcasting a destrace call in the hope that someone in Sisguardia was still monitoring the radio waves.
