(Deleted, cuz apparently its godmoddish. My bad.)

[OOC: Considering it hasn't even been a week since you 'started' construction, I'm ignoring this. To build the shipyards you want you will have to take a lot longer than a week - i gave it two-three weeks then I waited a month + before I unleashed Doujin's.

OOC: Heh, why not go with this thread? Hell, since you are going to claim to be able to build to Feazanthia's a year, why not have the shipyard be made in a day? :)

[OOC: I know I waited a while before I launched my storefront for a hospital ship and later for a science vessel. It took almost two months before I "designed" my own warships.]

OOC: i started pretty quickly, but then all my designs are based on real life ones with slightly differet specs. Well, okay except the cruiser and the dreadnought. But most people recognise a day as a year. If you did research for a week thats seven years! I guess it depends on its spec and time scale though.

If i build those ships one day (ie use my budget), i normally get them one or two days after (RL) (depnding on size and spec)

designing should be quite cheap and quick really. Its making that would take time.

Depends what you consider the time scale to be i guess. I use a day(RL) is a year.

Depends how quickly you start. My navy is growing these days, but so are the costs of maintaining it. If my economy or tax rates take a dive i could have very little to spend at no notice.

I decided i would begin research on day one, started researching and creating specs and waited a couple of days for the smaller stuff (like tanks, again based on real tanks) and a couple more days for ships.

Maybe im being godmoddish, but sometimes i wonder if the UK would be accused of being godmoded.

OOC: He wants to build something similar to my Doujin Class Flagship

www.geocities.com/doujincorp/doujinbb.html <- That's the old version (all the Doujin's have been refitted/constructed a little better)

The drydocks for these ships took 30+ years to build (so literally 2-3+ weeks)

The Doujin takes 40-50 years to build so there is another month and a half..

OOC: This is a very weird time scale, in RPs, I use 1 NS Year = 1 RL Day, in times of peace, 1 NS Year = 1 RL Week. Also, with the ARS United Arabia we had been designing (and IC building) the ship since February, which in RL time is a long time, and well over 10 years NS time. This ship had to be made in a special dry-dock in kuwaiti City, with almost 20'000 workers labouring each day. I hope that Gaia Rodina reconsiders this godmodding.

those popups are a bit oppressive. :)

But ah. no, my biggest ship is about 300m (dreadnought class, costs about $5bn to build i have two) long. Though i reckon you could do dry docks like that in a couple of years, and maybe three or four years a ship, plus a couple of years designing. But it would take a LOT of reasources... (ie thousands of men to build it) so a week if you went flat out and spared no expense (rather than buiding a little slower and more efficiently) That would push the cost up, further too. Youd have to be a large country to do that without taking workers out of other jobs too.

i reckon they could do it, but it wouldnt be too good for the rest of theri economy, wages would rise, causing inflation while firms would have a labour shortage.

But a powerhouse economy and 68mil population...

Assuming 1 RL day= 1 year.

I like the idea of a variable time scale but i used it my population would have quadrupled in two years..

I like the time scale on RL day = one NS month
