New Emperor Crowned
Today, the High Bishop of Canales formally crowned Prince Gregory II Emperor of the Holy Empire of Canales.
The occassion was marked with much pomp and ceremonialism.
After he was coronated, Gregory II accepted the title of Defender of the Only True Faith. The Title, like the crown, was inherited from his late father who died of old age.
Gregory takes over the nation at the age of 34.
He was scarcely crowned when he ordered an investigation in to the Empire's finances and why billions of dollars in foreign had never been distributed.
Long time employees of the Imperial Palace say he has yet to appoint advisors and will address the empire on his own foriegn policy goals.

It is noted that the Empire is composed of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and British Columbia.
OOC: I know other nations also claim these areas and I am not claiming exclusive rights to them, just as no one else on NS has. Its just that in one earth, these territories are the canales empire.
