SoT entering BC

Mr DuPont from the SoT Oil & Gas Company was willing to give out huge oild and gas contracts to various nations, as a sign of goodwill and to rebuild the economy. (my economy is a powerhouse but that doesn't matter now) Mr DuPont has got himself a passport other than SoT to ease travelling around the globe. This time he was going to pay New London a visit. He knew BC invaded and sacked SoT but he left the past behind him. He booked a private yet for him and a few of his associates who worked for him. They all had a non-SoT passport. All of them came from a former HP colony, Atemananki. (I was Atemananki before HP gave it away with my concent). None of them had ever been in contact with law enforcement or any anti terrorism groups.

10 minutes after they boarded the plane it took off, heading to BC. The pilots were from Atemananki as well as the passengers and they worked for the SoT Oil & Gas Company. Everything was ok. Mr DuPont was sure he would succeed.

MR DuPont was a very kind man, and he thanked the man at the airport for his hospitality. Mr DuPont suffered from gout a bit so he had to use a walking stick. He and his friends were driven to the most luxurious hotel in New London.

The airport security chief flopped into his chair, he couldn't believe his and their country had once been at war, and they had been declared as terrorists by the party, they seemed so nice, just legitimate business men on a trip. He secretly was in favour of some private enterprise and would probably get a grilling for his bosses for giving them more than they deserved, it was a simple system fault after all.

When the SoT businessmen arrived in the hotel they immediately called the BC Oil Company to arrange a meeting. Mr DuPont was next to a skilled businessman also a very experienced diplomat and he always carried his briefcase with him.

Because Mr DuPont is a man who likes to trusted he showed the customs
the contents of the briefcase. Everything was in order and Mr DuPont was happy. But before he got to work he had to set some things straight... He phoned a few people, his "family" and some people at the SoT O&G Company. Nothing was out of the ordinary, a businessman doing his job.

The executive put the phone down. He'd just set up a great meeting with oil executives from SoT that could bring billions into his nations economy, the party was sure to be happy. He sat back and thought of the rewards the party would give him, a large bonus? A new car? Or would they give the same excuse that they did last time "Your knowing that you've helped your country should be more than enough of a reward." He always wondered whether the premier and the higher party members lived a life of luxury while their industries bought the country millions. No, he thought, thats not possible, there are plenty of hospitals and schools, they're all free and life hadn't been better for the last few years.

Mr DuPont was extremely pleased with the meeting being arranged. Now with the help from Credonia as well as BC, things looked bright for SoT. Yes, for a moment Mr DuPont seemed happy.

Boys, we have lots of work to do here. first I have to make a phonecall home. My children are always very happy to hear my voice.

It's ok Mr DuPont, I'll order our dinner.

Mr DuPont knew that the phonelines would be tapped but that didn't scare him...

Hello I want to make a call to SoT #3439-6862-22 national code 495.
Hold on a sec...

The premiers aide entered the room, "Comrade, Sir, we've just got a message from BC Oil Co, it appears they've set up a very lucrative deal with some SoT business men, which will bring billions into our economy"
"SoT?", the premier replied, with a hint of apprehension "they're the enemy, do you forget that they killed thousands of innocent lives?"
"They're different now sir, they're willing to let us have some access to their oil as a sign of good faith, all they require is a tiny investement to cover costs, the profit will be in the thousands of percent."
"And theres no catch?" replied the premier, now obviously interested
"None at all comrade, sir. The men from SoT are in New London, all you have to do is transfer some money into their account and it will be done. They'll be staying in New London for a few more days, but you'll never have to see them or speak to them, they only know you're personally involved because you're obviously the chairman of BC Oil Co. If you send the money now, you can forget about it until the profit starts rolling in"
"Fine", said the premier, pressing a button on his large desk, a laptop computer rose up, and he logged into the companies bank account. He then transfered the money into the SoT account read out to him by his aide. He rose, dismissed the aide and looked out of the large window into New London, with this money, he could start his new project....

After dinner, Mr DuPont and his his associates were going to one of the stylish clubs in New London. There they would talk about what to do next.

Gentlement, tomorrow we have a meeting with one of the oil executives of BC. Then I will try to know more about their president and how to kill him. I have heard that he's going to throw a party to celebrate the summer. Then we will strike. We have 5 (RL days) to prepare ourselves.

After their short meeting they went back to the hotel.

The executives returned to the government building without a second thought of the meeting, expect what nice people they seemed to be. They briefed the premier, saying in a few months the oil contracts would be ready and they could start sending groups to SoT to start drilling. The premie was pleased and dismissed them, and called in his press secretary to help write a speech which would be delivered at the steps of the mayors office in New London in a few days. Security around the premier had been decreased slightly before as positive public opinion soared after he pledged yet more schools and hospitals.

There was a clank of a fork being put down on a plate "Go on.."
"Mr DuPont says you can have the extra billion you offered back if he can only meet you in person, he says he's a great admirer"
"Hmmm, I'm not sure, is that safe?"
"Of course sir, public opinion of you has never been better, that billion could go back into welfare, and it would go up even more"
