Greetings
The Empire of Balrogga would like to inform the world of its plans to put a city into orbit. We are announcing this so everyone can be assured we mean no ill intents to any other nations sharing this world with us.
The city does not and will not contain any nuclear material. There is no missile systems installed within the city either. The city, named Babylon after the great earth city from the past, will remain over the Balrogga Empire and not intrude in any other nation’s airspace.
If this is successful we are currently constructing its sister cities and will be putting them into orbit too. We will announce this event before doing so.
The purpose for the announcement is to prevent nuclear armaments from targeting Babylon and any nations within The Draconic Cluster who assisted in its creation.

A man entered the office. He was a thin man wearing the uniform of a Naval officer. The man approached the desk and waited for the approval to speak.
After a few minutes, Nhur-Galladu looked up from the reports he was reading.
“Your Majesty, I have just gotten a report from Nova Island. It appears Babylon is almost ready to launch. In a few days she will be in orbit.”
“Excellent!” The Emperor sits back in his chair and relaxed for a few seconds. “Has any of the other nations voiced their opinions to our venture?”
The naval officer looked through the information on his clipboard. “No Sire. We made plenty of progress bulletins within the Cluster and to be sure, we made a global announcement. If anyone objects, we should know shortly.”
“Good, keep me posted if anything develops. Go and inform the Citadel they will be needed in a couple days.”
Nhur-Galladu went back to his reports as the officer turned and left the room.

This would make you the second nation to put a city in space after Whittier.
The orbital city of New Whittier orbits the earth in a semi equatorial orbit and also has no weapons.
From what I read, am I to assume your city will have a geosynchronous orbit?
New Whittier has everything a typical city on earth has. It's just that the environment is entirely manmade.
OOC: I wouldn't try making a nation for it. I tried that and it went over 100 million. Realistically no space city could be that big without sucking enormous money and resources from earth nations.

Thank you for your words of encouragement.
I feel I am speaking on the behalf of the whole region when I say I am gladdened to see we are not the only ones to realize the fact the future is out there. There are resources to be mined, explorations to be undertaken, and an orbital community to develop.
I plan on launching Babylon and her three sister cities into orbit and link them into one entity that will remain in a geosynchronous orbit above The Draconic Cluster.

A vehicle pulls up to the gates of the Citadel. A messenger steps out and looks up at the building. The monolithic structure seems to fill the sky. Its sheer size seems to hold down the very earth below his feet. The soldier rings a bell hanging from a hook set into the gateway. He nervously stands there waiting.

A voice calls out from the air above his head. “What do you want?”
The startled man looks around trying to find the speaker. “Uh…, Uh…Ah”
“Well, I haven’t got all day. Spit it out boy.”
“Uh… I have a message from the Emperor, sir.”
“Well, we mustn’t keep the Emperor waiting, right? Hurry on in.”
The soldier hurries through the gate which began to open. He crosses a courtyard and stops before the immense bronze double doors. The doors silently open and he continues. Inside is a huge chamber brightly lit, but no light source is visible.
A gentleman walks into the room and greets the visitor. “I see you found your way in.”
“Ye..yes sir,” he stutters, “here is the message” He hands the gentleman an envelope.
The gentleman picks up and opens the envelope. He glances at the writing and looks up at the messenger. “Why are you still here?” He turns back to the message as the soldier escapes outside.
“Hmmm, it seems tomorrow Babylon will fly. I guess I better round everyone up so we can be ready.” The gentleman waves his hand and returns through the doorway he entered while the great double doors closed.

We wish to announce the successful launch of the Imperial Orbital City Babylon.
Tonight at sunset the city, named Babylon, rose from her berth at the construction yards on Nova Island in the Balrogga Empire.
The spectacular show began with the power up of her Eldritch Generators. Shortly afterwards the Sky Shield was energized, elemental gateways established, and the Portal System activated. The Techno-Mages from the Citadel boarded the city and began their chant.
It was truly majestic as the bulk of the city levitated into the air, backlit by the setting sun. This is the culmination of months of hard work from every country in The Draconic Cluster.
The construction continues upon the three sister cities, which will join up with Babylon, forming one city that will truly become the shining star in our skies. The city will become instrumental in establishing an orbital community to gather the resources available in the vastness of space. The station will also be useful to perform rescue missions for other nations.
