Change in Nuclear Policy

Dispatch from the GDMO government

The GDMO has always prided itself on its dedication to maintaining a small nuclear arsenal and to never use nuclear weapons unless attacked by some other power in such means.

However, recent events have caused us to rethink that policy. Noble though our intentions may be, we can ill afford to look weak. It is with our best interests and sovereignty in mind that we revise our policy on nuclear weapons:
- Henceforth, the GDMO will engage in an increased state of nuclear armament.
- Our current arsenal of 15 warheads (a number hitherto always public) will be increased to an unspecified number.
- As opposed to the current situation, where all nuclear weapons have been in a disabled mode, from here on out, 12 nuclear warheads on ICBM's will always be active and ready for launch (though not aimed) at any one time.
- We are increasing our stockpile of ICBM's (number undisclosed) of both nuclear and conventional warheads.

What will not change is thus:
- We do not condone the use of, nor shall we ever engage in using tactical nuclear weapons on the battlefield. This policy also applies to chemical and biological WMD's.
- We do not condone the use of, nor shall we ever engage in using tactical nuclear weapons to specifically target the civilian population. This policy also applies to chemical and biological WMD's. Any state that actively engages in such activity shall be considered as having committed crimes against humanity and will thus be open to retaliation from any nation.
- We shall never be the first to launch a nuclear attack. Nuclear launches will only be authorized in the event of nuclear attack from other nations.

Also, GDMO engineers are in the process of developing a missile shield platform to protect the GDMO from enemy missiles that may be attacking us. *Updates to come soon.*

Thank you,
--ANDRÉ CRATEINNE, Viscount of Freinte, Official Spokesman for the Archduke Philip IV

Sounds good to me. However if a security dilemma arises and I am threatened (highly unlikely) I will have to take action but very good.

Doubtful that will happen, provided you don't fire off some nukes at me. :)

Yeah I doubt it too. I got so many nukes though if I fired any off it'd set a chain reaction of armageddon.
