*NVNN interupts all scheduled programming in New Vigoor*

"Assassins in New Vigoor rigged an armored limozine which was to transport General DeNari to the Supreme Court in Zanarkand, the nation's second largest city, to explode.

DeNari was to be sworn in as Prime Minister of New Vigoor to finally establish Democracy in New Vigoor, following the collapse of the Belisarius dynasty.

Due to the assassination attempt, General DeNari was taken to hide in an underground bunker.

We just recieved reports that New Vigoor's senate which consists of 30 senators, have voted 21-5-4 to grant DeNari Dictatorial powers over New Vigoor.

So far, authorities believe the assassins were part of a insurgent group from the recently annexed socialist nation of Zimbutua. The group called "ZAMAS."

According to past video tapes sent to government officials from the leaders of ZAMAS, the insurrgent group believes that Zimbutua was annexed simply so DeNari can gain access to Zimbutua's abundant Uranium deposits so it can be used in Vigoor's Nuclear program.

Wait a second, it seems DeNari is to address the nation. Our staff will now switch to DeNari's speech:

"Citizens of New Vigoor, it is a sad day. The birth of a democracy in New Vigoor was nearly an hour away until terrorists made an attempt on my life. Fortunately, New Vigoor's senate has voted in my favor to give me absolute control over the country. With this power, I will promise to rid our Empire of these ZAMAS vigilantes, these so called "Freedom Fighters" which are nothing more than barbaric terrorists.

As part of our biological program, we've created a new biological agent. Named "Agent X9-001," this agent can be mounted on a Strategic Missle which on impact can cover a radius of 30 miles. Agent X9-001 is a non-lethal agent which can render all humans immobile for over 48 Hrs.

Before addressing the nation, I have given the thumbs up to use this new agent in the Zimbutua territory. Within 18 minutes from now, two missles will be hitting the cities of Gallaka and Nadoshima, two cities which a large portion of the population is in this ZAMAS organization.

However, I do not feel this is enough to stop this threat. Therefore, I have signed a which in 24 hours, will put New Vigoor in Martial Law until I sign a bill to take New Vigoor out of Martial law. I'd like to remind citizens that there will be military police monotoring streets when Martial law comes to effect. Please, if you see military units patrolling your neighborhood, do not be alarmed. They are there to ensure you will be safe.

Curfew will be set at 9:00 PM, anyone on the streets past 9:00 PM will be arrested. Reminder, the following Civil Liberties will be revoked:

Freedom of speech
Freedom of the press
Freedom of expression
Right to bear arms
Right to a fair trial

Also, the military police will not have to obey criminal civil rights, therefore, anyone can be taken into custody and interrogated without cause. All people taken into custody will not be subject to the "Cannot hold without being charged for more than 24 hours" right.

I will promise to rid New Vigoor of these terrorists."

Doujin is outraged at such opressoin of the civilian population. Our nation will not stand idly by while New Vigoor opresses, arrests, and literally rapes the people - the very people that make up New Vigoor. You have 72 hours to rescind all your orders before action will be taken.

Emperor Miller, do you not see that the threat of Democracy in New Vigoor is hanging in balance? The alternative is anarchy! General DeNari promises once the terrorists are dealt with, all rights will be restored.

General DeNari is literally holding the nation at hostage to find a few 'terrorists' - who may or not be in the said Zimbutua province. Democracy itself is not at risk, the only thing at risk is DeNari's power, and it is obvious he is hungry for said power. After such an incident, he is surely upset - and is now taking it out on the people of New Vigoor itself. Again, Doujin will not stand for this.

"Just an hour ago, Chemical Agent X9-001 hit the heavily ZAMAS populated cities of Gallaka and Nadoshima. Fumes of the agent are fogging the city.

1,000 soldiers, 25 Krillyan Class-II tanks, and 10 BMP-II Leapards (Infantry vehicle) entered the city of Gallaka. Soldiers were stunned to see no ZAMAS insurrgents immobile in the entire city. Meanwhile, General DeNari has ordered Medical aid to the city of Gallaka.

Additionally, the same amount of troops and units arrived in Nadoshima. Nadoshima however was a success, troops have found approx. 200 ZAMAS members immoblized in the streets. Medical Aid was also sent to Nadoshima to treat innocents who inhaled the non-lethal Chemical agent."

IC: Emperor Miller, perhaps I can make a deal. Allow me one week to keep martial law in effect and allow me to continue the attacks against the insurrgents. Remember, no Vigooran will be persecuted. After one week, I, General DeNari will restore rights and take the oath to Prime Minister (Which I've already been elected).

However, if in a week I do not keep my end of the bargain, you can unleash the dogs of war.

I can restore some Freedom of Speech. The press shall remain in control of the Government, and fair trial was a bad example. Anyone arrested will be charged and held in custody. No trials will be held until after the week of Martial Law is lifted. This means no trials, unfair or fair will be held. Is that good?

Full freedom of speech and freedom of the press must be returned to the populace. There will be no negotiating on this - Freedom of the press and freedom of speech goes hand-in-hand, you restrict one you restrict the other - and Full Freedom of Speech is absolutely required. Allowing the populace to express themselves freely does not hurt your campaign against the terrorist insurgents.

Imperial Palace attacked!

"Just moments ago, a large blast hit the Imperial Palace on the west side of the Palace. General DeNari was not in the Palace. Four Imperial Guards, and two maids were killed. Danny DeNari, General DeNari's son, was injured in the blast. The nine year old was rushed to Vigooran Capital One hospital, the finest hospital in all of New Vigoor. Danny DeNari will be ok, however is suffering from 3rd degree burns in his right arm.

Stay tuned as more unfolds on this attack."

The nation of Kikoskriat stands by and applauds Doujin's fine judgement and firm terms. We will continue to watch over this situation and, if Doujin requires our assistance, we will give it.

"This just in, the Senate Palace where all 30 Senators were in a meeting, was struck by by an explosion from inside the palace. All 30 senators were killed in the blast.

"Citizens of New Vigoor, our nation is getting ravaged by terrorists. I thought that the source of the ZAMAS problem was from the Zimbutua region, where the terrorists are from. However, it is a clear example that we have terrorists in our own Vigooran cities!

The Military police in New Vigoor have already started to arrest all Zimbutuan-Vigooran citizens. They will be held in internment camps in undisclosed locations. I am sorry for these Zimbutuan-Vigooran citizens as that not all are apart of this Terrorist organization, ZAMAS.

However, after the destruction and murder of all 30 senators, my advisors have advised me that this will be the only way to calm the attacks in New Vigoor down. The Zimbutuan-Vigoorans in the Internment camps will not be mistreated, well be fed three times a day, and have a clean safe enviornment.

All citizens planning to go to the Zimbutua region are hereby forbidden. All planes and boats to Zimbutua have been cancelled and the zimbutua region will be held in strict Martial Law."
