18-05-2004, 08:52
Today, in a stunning display, a Korean diplomat was arrested and charged under Liuthiam law for two federal crimes: Foreign Spying, and Foriegn Espionage.

His trial is expected to commence next week, but at the moment he is being held in Kwong Pen prison in the capital. He is reported as being in a safe location.

So far, there has been no response from the United Korean Nations, where the diplomat originally came from.

OOC: You will have to choose the diplomats name UKN, its your diplomat :)

Two Days Later...

Today, the foriegn diplomat was taken to a court hearing, where he had his charges read to him. The diplomat pleaded not guilty. The actual trial will begin sometime next week.

Under the Liuthiam code of law, if the diplomat is found guilty after the trial, he will be punished either to lifetime slave labour, or he will be put to death by firing squad.

In the meantime, still no word from the United Korean Nations government. Have they forgotten their trusty diplomat in Liuthiam?

Liuthian,

Though we are obviously not privy to the severity of the case charged against the UKN diplomat, we implore you not to resort to a sentence of death. More over, we fear that such action may me met with aggression from UKN. The last thing Tarqysian eyes want to see is countless lives shed for one diplomats death.

Please, we mean no aggression to your sovereign nation. We wish to help keep Liuthiam on the top of human rights.

We wish to remind the world that political pressure should not affect a system of law, otherwise it would be corrupted. We will be staying within the boundary of human rights.

Three Days Later

The Liuthiam Police Forces had their orders. As they snuck around the compound, the shiny writing could be seen on the limestone fence, reading United Korean Nations Consulate.

As the police surrounded the area, they shone the most powerful lights into the embassy. Yelling, an officer screamed through a megaphone, "We are about to storm your embassy. You have the opportunity to surrender yourselves to police forces. If you wish us to enter, do not attempt resistance!"

As he spoke, a helicoptor flew overhead. In the darkness, they could make it out as an Apache...

Liuthiam,

Thank you for your commitment to human rights. Your are justified in your statement, however, corruption can sometimes be less objective than human rights.

Furthermore, will you later divulge the reasons behind your actions? From where Tarqys stands, they seem harmless at worst, amounting to nothing more than mild international law breaking. We feel you are handling the situation with utmost care and professionalism.

On behalf of Tarqys, I thank you for this.
