Nerthus Stolen - (Doujin Class Hijacked) - Commie Revolution

OOC: Renamed to attrack more attention

Xendi Shipyards
All was quiet aboard the DN Nerthus, the newest Doujin Class Flagship to be constructed for the Doujin Navy. Security at Xendi Shipyards was relatively light, considering the state of Doujin affairs. Trucks drove by, lights shone, men marched, sailors drank.. all was right at Xendi. Admiral Lange looked quietly on from the bridge of the Nerthus. Having hand picked his crew, he knew they were all loyal to him and would follow any decision he made. Admiral Linda Lange, an unknown leader to one of the communist revolutionary groups in Doujin, was prepared to do what he was about to do next. It was necessary for the sake of Doujin.

Men started coming in and boarding the ship, showing boarding orders to the marines that manned all the entrances to the gargantuan vessel. Coming in at all hours of the night, 5,000 sailors trickled aboard the Nerthus, all communist revolutionaries. Admiral Lange trained them specifically for this mission, and they were all prepared to die for the name of Doujin and the revolution. Without hesitation, all the sailors prepared for leaving port.

It was an hour before sunrise, the ship was manned and ready, her guns aiming at nearby vessels of the Doujin Fleet. With a loud humm, the engines aboard the Nerthus came to life, slowly propelling the ship forward. The marines looked startled, and called for confirmation from Admiral in Chief Roald at the departure of the ship.

"Admiral Roald? This is Lieutenant Torrence. I'm standing at the dock the Nerthus was at, and she's moving."

"She's what?"

"I repeat sir, the Nerthus is leaving port. A couple thousand sailors at least checked in showing boarding orders, and due to the mass of soldiers we felt the orders were authentic, considering they showed the authentication code used by Admiral Lange."

"Jesus Christ.. Have communications contact that ship and see what the hell is going on."

"Aye, sir."

The Lieutenant hung up the phone and ran towards the Communications Centre at Xendi Shipyards. The large, steel building with it's several satellites and antennaes on top, seemed so lifeless from the outside. On the inside, however, it was bustling with activity. Enlisted men and women scurried about, making sure messages were delivered and communications relayed. The Lieutenant barged through the Center, and walked right into the NCO's office.

"We have a situation. Admiral Roald want's you to contact the Nerthus, and see what the is going on. She seems to be leaving port."

"Interesting."

The NCO didn't seem interested at all, in fact he looked like he knew what was going on. He reached down, pulled out a gun, and shot the Lieutenant in the head.

"I'm sorry, son, but it's for Doujin."

People started screaming and yelling, women ran out of the building while the men seized the NCO. He looked at them all and smiled with glee. Unknown to the staff, there was a bomb in the center to make sure that information abou the Doujin being stolen did not get out.

"It's to late for you all. You will not stop the Revolution!"

The Communications Center blew up, red and orange flames dancing in the sky. The metal, burning, the structure - falling. The men and women that survived the blast screamed in pain as they suffered major injuries from the explosion. Xendi Shipyards now had no way to communicate to the outside world, save for the ships which were soon to be destroyed by the now renegade Nerthus.

The guns on the Nerthus targeted the Thunder Child Class Battleship, DN Eden, and fired her fury upon it. Every shell hitting the battleship, she buckled under the onslaught. Not standing a chance, the Eden came apart - and slipped under the water quickly. Already, thousands of souls lost to the ruthless Communist Revolutionary forces. The smaller guns on the Nerthus took aim for the smaller escort ships and began firing repeatedly. As good as the ships were, they simply could not react to the Nerthus firing on them. Their brethren, men in arms, compatriots - now enemies. They merely watched in horror as one of the most powerful warmachines ever created unleashed it's wrath on it's own kind.

Moving slowly out of port, the DN Nerthus headed out, preparing for an unkown mission. Admiral Lange looked out upon the water from the bridge of the Nerthus and grimmaced. He had ordered the death of his own people - but for the sake of his country and the revolution. Surely, their deaths were justified? They did not die in vain, or did they? Already having second thoughts about the path he had chosen, he treaded on - crew ready, swords wielded, and all hopes at diplomacy shot to hell. There would be no stopping of the Nerthus.

OOC: Damn. I think NS has a major problem now, and everyone gets to test their anti-Doujin-class weapons with abandon.

The satellite orbited above Doujin, taking photographs and video as per orders. And as usual it transmitted them down to PIA HQ where the legions of people scanned through the massive amounts of data, flagging certain bits of data for a more thourough scan.

The information from this satellite can down, was processed, and flagged for later. A few minutes later, and it was sent on to high authorities to discover its meaning.

"Sir, we have some deeply disturbing news I'm afraid."

"What do you mean? Another war has started with us as the main target?"

The agent handed over a folder. "These were taken earlier today, over Doujin. As you can see just before dawn the newest Doujin-class battleship left port, decimating the harboured Doujin vessels. Now either theres a rogue fraction in the Doujin naval forces, or an entirely unknown faction has gained access to the most sofisticated warship in the history of the world."

"Jesus! Send a warning to the Council at once. I want every military asset we have on standby to negate that threat, if it indeed becomes one."

Admiral Roald paced in his state-room, wondering the condition of the Nerthus, and wishing to know what the hell was going on. The velvet red carpet, polished bronze and wood state-room glowed - but the Admiral seemed like a black whole, draining all the 'glow' from the room into a bottomless pit of despair.

"Ensign, get me Xendi Shipyards Communications Center - I want to speak to the commander directly."

"Aye, sir." The Ensign rushed to the phone, and talked to a few relay officers. The Ensign frowned, learning that the Communications Center at Xendi Shipyards were no longer online. The Ensign turned to the Admiral, and braced to give him the undesirable news.

"Admiral, the Communicatiosn Center at Xendi Shipyards is no longer online. We tried contacting some ships stationed there, but they aren't responding either. Sir - we have a complete communications black-out at Xendi."

"Son of a bitch, get me Emperor Miller - yesterday! Something very serious is going on down there, and I want to know what the hell it is - then I want to squash whoever the hell did it."

"Aye, sir."

"Sir, we have 85% of the military active. A few more days and we'll be at 100% activation. We are currently preparing our recon aircraft to make passes, and try and find out who is currently in control of the ship, and where its going."

"Ah, some good news. It seems that the Doujin shipyards are destroyed, and it must be determined that they do not have communications with their shipyard, and so must be feeling pretty worried. Send them this, though it is more than likely that it will spark the mobilization of their entire military."

It appears from our satellite photos that you have recently lost contact with Xendi Shipyards. We are sure we know the cause - your newly constructed Doujin class battleship left harbour around dawn, destroying every single ship in the port. It also appears that several key installations inside the compound have also been destroyed.

We understand the gravity of this, and must send our offer of help in recovering the errant ship.

Lieutennant Alexi Chechov sprinted down the corridor to Admiral Yuri Padorin's office.
"Admiral! Admiral Padorin! FLASH traffic from the Icarus!"
"Alright, alright Chechov. Settle down. Let's have it." He picked up a small china cup of tea and sipped it as Chechov put the manilla packet on the table. Padorin opened the packet and looked at the satellite photos.
"It's a Doujin. Fresh from Xendi, unless I'm mistaken. Where's its fleet? No Doujin leaves Xendi for a shakedown cruise without a fleet."
"That's the problem, sir. Command thinks the thing is rogue."
Padorin's china cup hit the tiles, shattering.

"Yes, Roald?" Emperor Miller questioned as to why Roald contacted him directly at this hour of the morning.

"Max, we have a situation - we lost communication with Xendi. Quick intelligence shows that Xendi is in flames, the communications center is gone and the battlefleet stationed there almost non-existent."

"Holy sh*t! What happened?"

"Unknown, sir."

"What of the Nerthus?"

"Unknown, sir - sources say it was hijacked."

The Emperor spit his water and threw the water bottle at his aid.

"I want it back, unharmed -if not possilbe, sink the bitch - no one does this to Doujin."

Eredron
18-05-2004, 00:21
News of the apparently renegade warship reached Eredron with minimal delay. From initial receipt at the Naori division to CENTCOM took just under thirty minutes. Without hesitation, the Eredronian military was put on heightened alert while the Consul was notified of the situation. A brief dispatch was sent off to Doujin, requesting verification, while orbiting reconaissance satellites were ordered onto a new course, aimed at providing more comprehensive coverage over Doujin.

The Eredron carrier group Bastion, on station at Naori, left port in hopes of locating the battleship, and plans for a massive aerial strike against the Nerthus were being drawn up, but relatively little notice was given to the incident by the Senate or general public, with events unfolding in Mauritius and elsewhere holding their attention.

OOC: Doujin, where are you located?

Secertary Barlow sat at his desk. A gold pen gripped in one hand, he frowned over a pile of memos. Running a hand through his hair, Barlow began busily scribbling. Suddenly, the double doors to his office burst open and an aide rushed in, wildly waving a manilla folder.

"Sir, urgent news from CommOps. The daily satellite feed has just come in, and the images of Xendi Shipyards are of the utmost interest. In this photograph, look here, it seems a ship of substantial girth has left the harbor. Also notice the thick smoke rising from several points along the waterfront and facilities."

"Why," stated Barlow,"Has Doujin come under attack?"

"No, sir. There is no evidence of any aircraft or missile strikes, so barring a horrendous accident, this can only be inflicted by Doujin forces. That ship, can only be one class, due to its size, we can only say it is a Doujin."

The Secretary took a sharp intake of breath. "So what are you saying? That the Doujin has gone renegade?"

"I'm afraid so, sir."

"Place all Granzian naval units on the highest alert. Ready all available ships for rapid deployment. We are not taking any chances! We don't know where this ship is headed. Reroute our satellites for constant servaillance. I want constant reports, say every hour, and the Prime Minister notified ASAP. Meanwhile, get a transmission to Doujin and ask for confirmation. We could have a full-blown situation on hand."

"Are you telling me that the biggest damned ship on Earth is loose!!"
His aid shrank back in fear of this outburst. He wished it hadn't been him to bring the news.
"That's what the reports say, sir. A large ship started to fire on its dock, demolishing several structures and ships. We must assume it is not operating under true Doujin control."
"Where is it now?"
"We lost track of it shortly after it left the shipyard."
"Damnit, on top of the biggest ship being renegade, now you tell me we don't know where it is?"
"There is little we can do about it."
"But we have to do something, we've got allies down there, not to mention Northrop Grumman in it's weakened state."
"I don't see what we can do. We're 4 galaxies and 2 universal planes away."
"Wait, what's the status of our Sovereigns? They're only on the edge of the Sol system."
"They are operational, barely. But what can they do?"
"Get Doujin on the line. I don't care how you do it, just do it. Let him know that if he needs it, we can try an orbital phaser strike. If our phasers will even scratch that thick hide."

Haiphong Shipyard site...

"...deadline. The Doujins want this production line up by May, so either up the overtime, or hire more men." Carolyn Hartford Ngo snapped. A horn sounded, and a car rounded the corner of the Number Two Ship Assembly building.
It was flying Doujin Embassy flags.
Shit, they know we're behind... she straightened her jacket, and sent the construction Superintendents away with a look, as a man stepped out of the vehicle, and walked over.
"Miss Ngo!" he said, and smiled.
"We're only a day or two behind..." she started to say, and he gestured, cutting her off. "I know. I came here, because your Aunt seems to be incapable of returning my calls." he said.
She frowned, "What?"
He introduced himself as the Doujin Ambassador.
She froze. "What's going on?" she asked.
He propped a foot on a structural beam, and folded his arms over his knee.
"There has been a problem. A new Warship, one of ours, has just shot its way out of dry-dock, and gotten... lost. This port is on her charts, she may try to make dock here." He said.
Carolyn dropped her arms. "You said Amanda's not answering your calls?" she asked.
He nodded, and said, "Senator Cho from the Armed Services comittee said to find you when I brought it up."
Carolyn shook her head, "He would say that. Okay, this stays between you and me, the Chancellor's sick again, and burying herself in between bouts of therapy trying to put together a Presidential Election so she can retire, Cho set you on me, because the Conservative Party wants to force me to run... you're being manipulated by local politicians. I'll go put the arm on the District Governor for you, get some additional Security up, and talk to Admiral Trung about upping patrols, but I'm just a busnesswoman, I'll see what I can do to get you in to see my Aunt while she's conscious..."
The Ambassador smiled, "That's fine, I'll convey word... this is a very dangerous situation, you know-the Nerthus is the most advanced warship ever constructed, if it were to hit here..."
She nodded, "I understand the hurry, my dad was with our task-forces when the Phyrricians had a rogue admiral... Are you going to call on the Defense pact?"
He shrugged, "I don't know." he said, adding, "Honestly, this isn't the sort of enemy you're equipped to take on-your ships are outdated, and your Aircraft are barely any better, this enemy isn't the sort your infantrymen can fight..."
Carolyn nodded, "Yeah. I know... Trung's going to be shitting green paint."

OOC: The whole national-leader-crapping-his/her-pants opener has been done a bunch, so I'll just skip it.
"So, what are we gonna do, Admiral?", asked President Zwimbala of Pacific Northwesteria. "Well, sir, I would recommend ::whispers::". "What are the chances of success?" "Decent, sir, if we have the element of surprise. However, we'll have to get some top-secret defense information from Doujin in order to implement this plan, and that won't be given readily. Especially since it has to do with the Doujin Class. I'll see what I can do."

To Doujin:
Pacific Northwesteria has launched all 10 of its DD-1 B surveillance planes (your design) in search of the wayward Doujin. Tracking from last known coordinates, and integrating our search with the satellite tracking of other nations, we should be able to find her. Then, with your permission (and sensitive information to pull it off), we will land special ops forces at various points on the Doujin from the water line, stealthily, at night. These commandoes are the best-trained soldiers in Pacific Northwesteria, and I'm certain they will be able to retake the ship if they get a foothold. As a backup plan, special ops will abandon ship and 40 B-2 bombers will decimate the Doujin Class.

"Right, then", said Zwimbala. "This seems to be the best plan for preventing harm to neighboring nations, as well as to the Nerthus. I'm sure Doujin will thank us, and it would cement our alliance, were we to return Doujin's pride and joy unscathed." "Aye aye, sir. Contacting Doujin now."
Sarzonia
18-05-2004, 03:34
President Mike Sarzo listened to reports coming in of a Doujin-class battleship on the loose and battering a significant part of the Doujin fleet before it was ready to react.

He hesitated at the Bat Phone, not sure if he should pick the phone up given Sarzonia's frosty relations with Doujin. Ultimately, he decided that getting Emperor Miller's attention was not the wisest course of action.

He picked up the Gray House intercom phone instead.

"All cabinet members, report to the situation room right away."

Sarzo himself had to pry himself from watching SportsCenter. It was one of the few things that gave him comfort while running the affairs of state. However, things were about to get much more uncomfortable.

In the situation room, Sarzo cleared his throat. He needed to be completely focused.

"It seems that a Doujin-class battleship just escaped from one of their ports and destroyed several ships."

Gasps filled the room from the assembled vice presidents and Senior Vice President for Internal Affairs Nicole Lewis.

"Should we offer assistance?" Vice President for Education Sandra Goudine asked.

"To whom?" Kerri Marshall, the assistant deputy to Senior Vice President Mark Lorber, who was on the way from Praetonia after the slavery conference, retorted. "We're not exactly cozy with Doujin."

"That said," Lewis replied. "We shouldn't sit idly by."

Intelligence chief Norman Bismarck smiled. He stood up and said, "You don't like Doujin, do you Mr. President? Now is the time to strike. We can send a fleet to blockade them, capture their ship, and barter the ship for concessions. We can bring Doujin to their knees and turn Sarzonia into a military superpower!"

Sarzo had heard enough.

"Norm, we are NOT going to send a blockade Doujin. We are NOT going to blackmail Doujin. Is that understood?"

Bismarck opened his mouth to object, but Sarzo put his hand up forcefully.

"We are not in the business of using the kind of tactics we have seen in imperialistic countries," Sarzo said. "That's not what we stand for.

"It's no secret I don't like Doujin. But let's not allow my prejudices to get in the way of the right thing to do."

"We have a great opportunity here," Bismarck said.

"Remember that you're the third intelligence chief I've had in this administration. The rate you're going, I'm going to look for a fourth before the end of the day. Capisce?" Sarzo puncutated that last look with a death stare that could drive fear into the most fearsome of bullies. Even Bismarck, a noted intimidator, cowered as he sank into his seat.

The vice presidents and Bismarck all left the office after Sarzo dismissed them. Lewis remained behind. Sarzo looked over at her. She was one of his best friends for years and he trusted her judgment implicitly. It was why she was Sarzo's handpicked choice for the number two position in Sarzonia after Dave Forrest's resignation. Sarzo let out a sigh.

"What do you think we ought to do, Nicole?"

"I think what you should do is offer your assistance to Emperor Miller. Put the ball in his court."

"And let him decide what form that assistance should take?" Sarzo asked.

"Right." Lewis said.

"I'm on it. Thanks Nicole," Sarzo said. Lewis walked away from the room, leaving Sarzo to pick up the phone and call his communications officer.

"Send the following message to Emperor Miller. Sarzonia stands ready to assist you in the capture of the renegade ship. We will provide whatever support you request."

"Are you sure," the chief asked. He knew that tensions between Sarzonia and Doujin were near an all-time high.

"Just do it."

"Yes, Mr. President." The message transmitted.

An aid rushed into a meeting between the Emperor and his Sea Lords, which was perhaps fortunate. "Emperor, we have reports that the Doujini battlefleet stationed at their Xendi shipyards has been destroyed, the cause is unknown. It has also been reported that the Doujin class ship Nerthus is missing, presumably highjacked."

Sven Jorgenssen, the Second Sea Lord and head of the Office of Naval Intelligence, frowned, "That's not possible. There are a thousand marines on a Doujin plus another nine thousand crew that would know how to use weapons and are more than likely trained for close quarters hand-to-hand combat. Besides, people would notice several thousand foreign troops conducting a forced boarding against a fleet flagship. If I had a guess, I'd say that the ship mutinied."

Duke Tzu's face paled considerably, "You mean to tell me that a Doujin just destroyed its battlefleet and disappeared?"

Sven nodded, "That seems like the easiest and most logical explanation at this point. Even if someone managed to take over the Nerthus, it's our responsibility to help Emperor Miller get it back or sink it." He turned to the Fifth Sea Lord, who was responsible for weapons developement for the Navy and happened to be Emperor Larsen's daughter, "Sakura, do we have anything to take a Doujin out?"

Sakura nodded quickly, "Yes, our cruise missiles could do the job, they're designed to take out a Melkorian gravship. Of course, that's on the ballistic profile, but the Ryuho battlecruisers can deliver enough of them to make that a moot point. Our ships are also fast enough to keep out of the range of the Nerthus' guns, which is what that class' main threat is."

Tzu nodded and turned to the Emperor, "Sir, with your permission, I'd like to cut orders to the 4th Fleet to seek out and disable or destroy the Nerthus. Our navy has a good record of taking out massive battleships, although it's not faced anything close to a Doujin class. However, I'm confident we can deal with her."

"Permission granted, and make sure to send the Doujin government our theory on what happened with the Nerthus and what we plan to do about it." Emperor Alexander I Larsen ordered.

[Doujin, I won't right out a communique, but consider yourself privy to the details that pertain to the Nerthus, which wouldn't include the capabilities of our cruise missiles.]

RE: Nerthus.

Sorry about the delay vis' your Ambassador. I've signed an executive order placing our forces on local-alert per the Mutual Defense Agreement signed last month. Thanks for the brief on this rogue ship of yours-she's a monster, hope we don't see it out here.
The naval contingent you intending to send, were they docked at Xendi? If not, please forward ship I.D.'s and IFF's, we stand ready to provide resupply and repair facilities at Vin-Drin-Lap in the middle-coastal zone, New Saigon, and New Hue portages in addition to the Haiphong base signed over to you in the treaty.
Tell your people that if any of my people give 'em the runaround, get their names, and pass 'em to me through Carolyn. Sooner or later, she'll realize she can't hide in the Private Sector forever.

The Chancellor finished typing the message, and hit "Send". Then, she dropped back onto the hospital bed, closed her eyes, and sighed.

Rear Admiral Marcus Patinkin shook his head at the news of the Nerthus escaping and destroying a Doujin fleet.

"Unbelieveable," he said. He motioned Captain Betty Palmer over.

"Prepare to set out with three Leningrad-class heavy cruisers on a mission to find and capture that ship. I don't want you to sink it, but if it doesn't heave to, stay out of its range and fire your long range missiles at it. Coordinate with the other three captains to make sure that they have too many missiles coming at it at one time."

"But sir, Doujin may consider that an act of war."

"And destroying its entire fleet isn't? Whoever this is, it's not at the behest of Emperor Miller. I can tell that much for sure. Just to be safe, we'll have a couple of Parliament-class battleships nearby to help out in the event you can't stop the Nerthus.

Meanwhile, Navy Chief John Newman called the naval command.

"All Arizona-class battleships, set an intercept course for the Nerthus," Newman ordered. The Monitor would also have to leave its post and set out after the Nerthus.

Operation Manhunt was ready to get underway as soon as President Sarzo gave the signal.

"Make sure that Emperor Miller knows of our plans. Send the details on a coded frequency," Sarzo said to his communications officer. I want every freakin' detail of this sent to Miller so that he knows what we're doing, but I don't want that renegade ship to intercept the signal."

"We'll do our best, Mr. President." He sent the message.

Sarzo stood up from his desk and paced slowly. He stared at the Bat Phone, hoping to hear from Emperor Miller once the communicade was on its way.

An aid stepped into the room of Admiral Yahti carrying a file. The admiral gave him a look and asked: "Ok, what is the emergency this time?"

"As you know we are keeping track of all Doujin-class battleships."
"Yes, what happened with them? Spit it out, I don't have all day."
"Last night the Nerthus destroyed his fleet and damaged the docks at Xendi before leaving without any escort. We have satelitte images of the damage done and Room 5 is currently tracking the ship."

"Isn't the Doujin at Xendi the nearest ship of that class? Ok, you are dismissed. Tell the expedition fleet to prepare to leave at a moments notice and the Sharks too."

After the ensign had left Yahti immediately informed the President of what had happened and what course he recommended.
"I agree with you. That ship cannot remain in rogue hands. Either it is destroyed or captured. It seems that your new submarines will get an early field test. You better sent the Griffen and some of our Home fleet along. They wouldn't do much good if you fail."

"Yes, sir, I will issue the orders immediately. Shall I inform Doujin about our plans?"

"No."

Yahti was puzzled about this reply but didn't take time to think about it and began to issue orders.

Aboard the DN Proxima - Astron Class Fast Attack Submarine
"Captain, we are ready to stage."

The Captain looked at his Comrade. The enclosed submarine was about to be yet another staging ground for the Revolution. Captain Mullins knew what he had to do. He knew his men would be lost - not only his communist brethren - but the men of Doujin that served underneath him in the past years. It was hard for him to do such a thing, to his crew, his ship, his country - but it was a necessary evil.

"For the Revolution - for Doujin. Let it begin," the Captain said. The officer ran off and notified the others whom quickly pulled out their weapons and took control over the ship. On a couple decks there were firefights - people resisted the communists at first.. however that would not last long. They had control over the weapons, and as such they had control over the ship.

"This is the Captain. This vessel is now serving the Communist Revolutionaries. Anybody who objects to this, please come to the planning room. Your execution will be quick, but painless. That is all."

Similar things happened all over Doujin waters. Not only on submarines, either. The DN Nerthus was only the begining. Now, the DN Proxima. All in all, a whole Fleet would be formed - a rebel fleet of Doujin ships.

"Ready guns. Load Inferno SCRAMjet rounds. Signal the Leningrad, tell them I want missiles fired as soon as that thing is in range."

The Stalin's 25" guns were loaded with INFERNO SCRAMjet rounds, and pointed in the direction of the massive Doujin battleship. The Moscow and the Murmansk did the same.

As plans continued for responding to the threat, a dispatch was shot off to Doujin, requesting information regarding the ship's design( please provide a link). The Consul also requested that Doujin reveal it's plans for dealing with it's renegade vessel. Not considering itself a potential target, Eredron was not overly concerned. However, a flight of six Tu-180E Implacable Bombers was passing over the Atlantic Ocean, and after stopping briefly at Mauritius, would continue to the Naori military base. Satellites were tracking the flagship from it's last known location; so far, it was believed that the Implacables would be able to stop the Doujin warship by dropping nearly 200,000 lb of free-fall HE bombs over the ship, while launching fourteen cruise missiles.

The following is a statement from the Ruling Council of the Grand Alliance, consisting of representatives from the following nations: Bobghanistan, Jimnam, Eastern Britain, Kenistan, Ashtria, ImperialisticPrussia, Leeasia and Independent Nutters.

"We, the people of the Grand Alliance, recognise that the hijacking of such a large and powerful fleet is a direct threat to all nations who, like us, oppose communism and the evil that it stands for. We would like to reassure the people of Doujin and the world that we will be concentrating our military and intelligence efforts into finding this fleet and either recapturing or destroying it. To this end, the following actions have been taken:

The following elements of the Jimnam Navy have put to sea;

16 Jimnam Class Aircraft Carriers
20 Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers
50 Improved Yamato Class Battleships
50 Iowa Class Battleships
100 Cruisers of various types
200 Destroyers of various types
200 Frigates of various types
60 Nuclear Submarines of various types

In addition to this, the following elements of the Bobghan Navy have been despatched to assist Jimnam's task-force:

10 CVF Aircraft Carriers
20 Type 85 Guided Missile Cruisers
20 Type 45 Destroyers
20 Type 25 Frigates
25 Type 42 Destroyers
25 Type 23 Frigates
50 Astute Class nuclear-powered attack submarines
50 Trafalgar Class nuclear-powered attack submarines

In addition to this Naval Task force, the Bobghan Air Force has been put on maximum alert, and the following actions have been taken:

Vulcans, B-52Hs, B-1Bs and B-2As of the Strategic Nuclear Deterrence Wings are at alert, and there are nuclear armed aircraft in the air at all times to counter the threat of the Doujin class's ICBMs.

F-15E Strike Eagles of the Maritime Strike Wings have been put on alert with our new SD Torpedos, along with F-16E Desert Falcons of the Air Defence Suppression Wings and F-14D Tomcats of the Air Intercept Wings.

F/A-22 Raptors and Typhoon F.2s of the Air Escort and Air Intercept Wings are now flying constant Combat Air Patrols to defend the Grand Alliance from any airborne incursions from this fleet, supported by Sentry AEW.1s from the Airborne Early Warning Wing.

Nimrod MRA.4s from the Maritime Patrol Wings are now flying constant maritime patrol sorties to keep watch for this fleet.

All other Bobghan and Grand Alliance air assets have been put on maximum alert.

We hope that the actions that we have taken will show our resolve to protect ourselves from this fleet and any aggressive actions that it may take. We also pledge to defend any and all anti-communist nations that are attacked by these evil communist renegades."

Further statements may be made by ImperalisticPrussian and the KMK, working on behalf of the Grand Alliance.

It was supposed to be just any normal day at No 1 Air Intercept Squadron. The men sat around watching the KMK news broadcasts on Grand Alliance TV. Flight Lieutenant Johnson and Flt Lt Harris were playing pool, loudly.

"Can you guys keep it down, I'm trying to watch this". Sqn Ldr Morris was annoyed. He hated all this sitting around. He just wanted some action.

"I don't know why you bother, its all the same. Nothing ever happens around here," Harris replied.

"This just in. We've just heard that one of the Doujin class super-dreadnoughts has been hijacked by communist terrorists. We go live to a statement by Commodore Nelson of the Jimnam Naval Intelligence Agency"

The men didn't have time to listen. As it was said, the alert klaxon went off. Within 2 minutes the men of No. 1 Air Intercept Squadron were airborne and on patrol.

Elsewhere the leader of Bobghanistan, El Presidente Bobski, was in his secure bunker poring over intelligence reports.

"What the hell is this thing, where is it, and what can we do about it?"

"We don't know sir," his general replied "I don't think there's anything we can do."

Bobski stared at him briefly, then nodded to two orderlies at the back of the room before returning to the reports. The sounds of the General's screams echoed through the door before ending abruptly with a single gunshot.

"I want options people, not excuses".

"I suggest an immedate convening of the Grand Alliance council. We must also put our military on maximum alert. We should go to DEFCON 3." Stated Colonel Graves, his voice slightly shaking.

"See to it"
An Air Force General spoke up quietly; "Maybe this would be a good time to deploy our new torpedo"

"The SD?"

"Yes"

"Very well. Put the maritime strike wings on alert. I'm going to the council meeting. If anything develops, contact me immediately."

Bobski disappeared through the door

"And clean this mess up out here!"

Admiral Trung looked over the list, and the intelligence briefs again.
"Shit." he spat, and looked at the rest of the General Staff.
"At least it's happening in the Atlantic, there's lots of powers there that can deal with a force that big..." General Danh said optimistically.
Trung looked at the newly-minted Army Chief of Staff. "With a fleet that big, they can go Anywhere, General. Our Coastal batteries aren't big enough to take one of those, and we're sitting on a prime target out here-a Doujin Naval Yard. If this 'Revolution' starts fluttering, they'll be looking to do anyone that can support the Democratic government with materiel. That, means us. If it succeeds, they'll be coming here with more to clean out pockets of resistance-like the Austians did after that Palpatine fellow took over. Those bombings got you your job-nobody competent to take over, so shut the hell up and pay attention."
Chastened, the Army officer hung his head. The Admiral looked around. Most of these men had been middle-level officers five years ago, none had more than a frantic grasp of command.
Kids... he thought, and his scowl deepened.
"Now, I want Actual numbers on how many coastal-batteries we can man, how many of them are fully functioning, and how much actual ammunition we have to feed 'em-that's your job, Danh. Doctor Cu'ong, please tell me you've got some kind of surprise lined up?"
The head of Nuevo Kowloon's Aerospace Agency folded her hands, and sat back. "Maybe. The big thing with advanced ships, is that their weapons shoot farther than they can reliably see without Radar, and guns that big can't be manually aimed. We're putting something up this week-break out the old-school gear and raise the Level Threes in Radio and Communications-the old guys who're trained on tube-sets, get the trainees running drills on pre-digital targeting systems..."
He frowned, "Pre-Digital? why?"
She sighed, "Because, Admiral, if what we're putting up next week works, nothing with a microprocessor is going to function, active or not, after it goes off, for about a fifteen thousand mile radius. Doujini ships use a lot of integrated microprocessing networks and high-end electronics. we can't scratch the armour, but we can blind 'em, and make the guided missile systems and antimissile systems useless..."
He shook his head, "Unacceptable, you know what the policy on Nukes is-"
She rolled her eyes. "Admiral, the only way we can level the playing field with guys like that is to take it down below a level they're able to handle. a 100 megaton blast in the upper Stratosphere won't generate one ounce of radioactive fallout. The ionization effects will put out an enhanced EMP, using the right reflectors, that's at frequencies that Tempest shielding won't handle, plus, they'd have to know we were going to deploy before they could cut off the reception on their sensors or close hatches-the corridors and the emitting/recieving arrays will work just like waveguides. So will the gun-tubes into the turrets, ETC's Have to have conductors in the bores, and Guided missiles HAVE to have active radar recievers. Fry the systems hard enough, you might even force those nuke-powered boats to scram their reactors. It won't kill 'em all, but it might buy some time..."
He slammed his palm onto the podium, "NO. We will NOT do that-my god, you open that can of worms..."
She shrugged, "Then the only alternative I can recommend, is hoping they stay away... I ran the numbers on the first ship, we don't have enough planes, of the right types, to take on the first one, now he's got a fleet backing him. Less that, you could try mining the hell out of the Tonkin Gulf again-it worked on those Austian Superfortress ships. Unless you can lure them into an attempt at Occupation, we're stuck hoping Loyalist Doujin troops will show up to take possession of their base before the Commies can." She tapped a fingernail on the wooden table, "Of course, they probably aren't as squeamish as you are about using Nukes, so this might all be purely an Academic excercise... The X-Ray laser project definitely won't work for this one, either- the enemy's not using Sats-as far as we know. If he Was, then the Doujins have probably already shut down the links."

Trung contained himself, and said, "How many are you putting up this time?" he asked.
Dr. Cu'ong looked at the ceiling, "Ten. We're going for ten. The Phyrricians were generous selling us their heavy-payload launchers last spring. Something about upgrading their Nuke forces and the boosters being surplused. Our payload's lighter than what they were loading, so it worked out pretty well. The Underground tests last month were quite enlightening-I think we're the first people in history to actually make a Classical Super work the way it's supposed to, and the Lazing measurements weren't corrupted like the Livermore tests in the 1980's-we didn't use Quartz reflectors in the instrument packages, so there wasn't oxygen intrusion."
Trung fumed again, "If the Legion found out..."
Cu'ong shook her head, "They already do-I'd say every nation in the region knows by now, they're just waiting for us to announce it. That won't happen until the Chancellor decides it's the right time."

The Emperor looked out the window in thought. This situation was totally unexpected - and totally a blow to the Doujin Navy. Problems keep cropping up with this situation - first, Doujin satellites couldn't be disconnected from the Nerthus. Second - a fleet goes through mutiny and ends up in rebel hands. Now, what's next? The Emperor didn't want to know - because it surely would be worse.

At that moment, an intelligence officer burst through the pine doors which were laced with gold, silver, and platinum. Tracking dirt on the scarlet red carpeting, the intelligence officer ran up to the Emperor and began breathing heavily.

"Sir.. *pant*.. Intelligence just came in *pant* the Nerthus has all 16 ICBM tubes loaded *pant* with Talisman IIB's, each with 10 *pant* 200kt nuclear warheads.*heavy pant*"

"Christ, I thought only three were loaded! And with the Satellite connection unable to be terminated, the Nerthus could fire nukes at anyone!"

"Sir, several nations that are worried about the Nerthus are asking for the schematics of the ship."

"Give them the information on the Doujin Class - pre-refit. Do not, and I repeat - do not give any information out about the new ships. The Doujin Mk.2 Refit will remain classified. Your life depends on this."

"Aye, sir."

The Doujin Class Flagship - DN Nerthus, while under rebel control - is still Doujin property. If a foreign government intervenes with the vessel whiel it is still in international water - that will be considered as an act of war. Doujin will only allow nations who are relatively cosy in relations to help in the hunt for the Nerthus and the rebel fleet.

Emperor Larsen - we only have one problem with you committing the third and fourth fleets to deal with the rebels - you would surely lose. And we cannot justify the loss of so many souls on your end. With that - the Nerthus actually has 16 Talisman IIB ICBMs on board, each carrying 10, 200-kiloton nuclear warheads. We are working on ways to combat the Rebel Fleet with minimal loss of life and minimal damage to the Fleet itself - mainly, we don't mind to much if the surounding vessels are destroyed. However, the Nerthus is very valuable to us and we would prefer to subdue it. Of course, we always don't get what we want - however. You are treading on thin ice, Larsen, please be careful.

The information the president was receiving was not good. The Nerthus had gotten an escort and to make matters worse room 5 was convinced another Doujin class had gone rogue along with escort. He was hoping they were wrong this time. Still he had a feeling this was not the case.

"Admiral Yahti, what is the status of the fleet we sent out?"
"It is about 2 days sailing away from the rogue fleet, but captain Vries doesn't want to get nearer. Our fleet could barely take on one Doujin let alone the escort."
"I fear things are even worse, tell them to stay 3 days sailing away from the Nerthus and another Doujin fleet that is moving towards them. Oh, and tell me what happens when those 2 meet. You have your orders."

Now how did he know about that. He must have had some intelligence that I haven't seen or he has begun to read minds. This was one thought that went through the mind of the admiral has he gave his orders.

Dr. Cu'ong walked into the control centre and looked at the sattelite tracking.
"The Doujin Class is a kilometer long, you're showing me two tracks that size." she said.
Engineer Thomas Gorman nodded, "Yeah, the sats picked it up last night. looks like a fair big group out there... we haven't found a lone-wolf that fits the description, but those two seem awful far from the Big 'D's usual patrol routes..."
Cu'ong frowned. "Might be they've got a scent on their lost lamb..." she commented. Somehow, though, it felt wrong. "any engagements in that area?"
Gorman ran a quick search through the half-dozen or so sats that passed over the area in the last six hours.
"One, looks like this trace here-short fight, one sided. the other guys lobbed some stuff at him, then quit. Don't know why."
She snorted, "Probably not our boy, then. Tell next shift to keep looking, a ship that big shouldn't be too hard to find... and have three keep an eye on those two, I have a feeling..." She frowned again, "Anything Indian Ocean side?"
He shook his head, "Nope, not yet anyway-no big wakes except a couple Supertankers, and we were able to confirm that with the KH-11 the Phyrrics leased us. A Doujin' s a Big ship, and they're fast, something with that kind of movement profile's going to be easy to spot..."
She nodded. "fine, How's the Flashlight doing?" she asked.
Gorman shrugged, "Telemetry's good-goddamned good, as a matter of fact, and the Secondary systems are performing better than expected, 238 channels worth, we're gettin' Lietuveskan Soap Operas and USIH's News Networks clear and sharp, even picked up an Austian Press conference, as long as we don't have to use the Primaries, the Cable people're gonna be eating well."
Cu'ong smiled, "good. Flashlights Two and three are going up at noon, Polar orbits, so we should be getting some even more interesting Teevee fare, at least, until we have to use 'em..."
Gorman frowned. "I hope we never have to, ma'am... Honestly, I think it's a bitch thing to do, hiding weapons on commercial sats like that."
She nodded, "It's a Bitch world, Gorman-we tried other ways, but the Hammers didn't stop that missile attack, and fifty million people died, so now, we build a better shield, and maybe the Politicians try and get us better allies... ones that won't stab us in the back."

IC:

The Sileria-S spy planes continued to watch the Nerthus, keeping a tab on its course and speed. Some of the spy planes that were scanning further away from the rebel Doujin, searching for any hostile or allied shipping, detected a large naval force heading in the direction of the Nerthus, and sent this information back to PIA HQ.

"Commander, we have some more information on the rogue Doujin situation." the aide-de-camp hands over a smallish folder, but fairly thick. As the Commander of PIA looks through the folder the aide begins explaining.

"Some of our spy planes detected that fleet heading towards the Nerthus. As that force included a Doujin class too, we are presently presuming that Doujin has sent a force to deal with the rogun ship. However, its a very irregular fleet composition, and they seem to be heading towards the Nerthus with unerring accuracy. Now our analysts have several theories about this: the first is that Doujin has some sort of tracking ability on all its ships; the second is that Doujin is extremely lucky; the third is less appealing - that Doujin has had an entire fleet go rogue, including a second Doujin."

It has come to our attention that there is a Doujin fleet heading towards the rogue Nerthu. At present we are unsure about this fleets plans, but there is a possibilty that it has gone rogue. As this has caused a massive boost to the rebels force, they have become a serious threat.

We believe that you wish your ships undamaged, correct? If so, then I suggest you use a nerve gas to incapacitate the humans on board those rebel fleets. This was a suggestion given to us by another nation, but in light of recent events it seems liek the best route.[/code:1:e189f0efdb]

Aboard the Nerthus - 200 km ahead of the Astryr

Admiral Lange looked out upon the dark blue ocean. It was a calm day, just before sunrise. The cool ocean breeze swept across the bridge of the ship, sending chills through some of the seamen. Men ran across the ship, making sure everything was in full operating order. Then, a tall man, blonde hair, blue eyes, wearing the standard white uniform of a Doujin officer walked up to Lange, and began speaking to her.

"The Astryr is en route, Admiral. It seems Vivaldi kept his word."

She grimmaced at the name, and looked at the young Lieutenant. Staring into his deep blue eyes, the sun slowly rising behind him she found comfort - solace in the fact that she was not alone. Ever since Vivaldi left her, she has been lost. A child walking in the wilderness, with no one guiding her. She took up her hand and put it on the Lieutenants face, smiled, and nodded.

"Thank you, Anthony. You've been great, I enjoy your company."

He smiled, his perfect white teeth shining in the early hours. While public displays of affection were generally prohibited in the Doujin Navy, he disregarded naval procedure and put his hands on her face, leaning in ever so slowly, but more certain with each inch. Their lips met, their tongues danced, and they shared a perfect embrace of ones love.

He ended the almost perfect kiss, looking into her eyes and feeling a firey love for her flame up. The ocean breeze came across the ship again, causing Lange to shiver slightly. Anthony pulled her close, put his arm around her and leaned his head against hers, looking out over the sea with her. In the distance, the tip of the Astryr could just barely be seen - their support would be arriving shortly.

Captain Sven Toldrov of CYNV Imperial Strike stared at his XO. In his hand he held a all Vessel alert to stay claer of the Nerthus.

"I think we had better get out of this mess" The XO agreed, the submarine was drifting 500miles directly ahead of the Nerthus.

The captain ordered to dive, this was after all a boomer, and his entire Naval career as a captain had been spend avoiding 'the enemy'
Moving slowly at 10knots to eliminate almost every sound the boomer moved south.

Its battlestations were fully manned, but it was only using passive sonar, the crew knew how powerful the ship was, and they were being told it was an exercise in avoiding contact with it.
Better the crew didn't know the truth all the officers agreed.

Meanwhile at CYSIS HQ they were sitting, it was all they could do, another pass was not due for 1 hour.
The DDI ordered those photos brough up of the ships capture, he wondered how the hell did these men not react quickly enough.
Still, they wouldn't have known, would they?

The Minister of Foreign Affiars was sending a rapid message to Doujin via the embassy in Celtayoshi.

Meanwhile, all naval vessels have been placed on High Alert. The 2nd Fleet sets sail for RĂ©union to beef up the naval presence there.

The two fleets had caught up, relatively speeking, with the rebel Doujin fleet. They had slipped behind the rebel fleet and were now a little over eighteen hundred miles away from them, which equated to two days travel time for a zero point intercept against a stationary target. Fortunately, their target was neither stationary nor would they be required to travel 1800 miles to do what they were going to do, assuming they got final approval.

"Ma'am, we have a feed from one of our satellites and it looks like a Doujin fleet is moving to engage the rebel fleet," the ship's XO reported.

"Can you be sure? Have you seen any engagement?" Harrington asked.

"No ma'am, but the new fleet is moving right for the rebel fleet and they're 200 kilometers away." the XO announced.

That stopped Honor short, a fleet about to join battle with another fleet did not head straight towards the enemy fleet, it manuevered for an advantage even if its own numbers and ships made overwhelming victory seem like the only possibility. It also did not move to point blank range for 30" guns. "Don't count your chickens yet, XO, we might have a problem. Order the battlecruiser squadrons to warm their missiles up and designate the Doujins' escorts as enemy on IFF but make sure the Doujins ping friendly to our missiles. Contact NAVCOM and get final conformation on the strike. Also, inform them that unless the two Doujin commanders are incompetent that it looks like a second Doujin with an even larger fleet is joining the rebels."

[Do I have permission to engage the rebel fleets, Doujin? I won't touch the two flagships, but I fully intend to take out the escorts.]

Navy Command: "Ok, let me see what we have here" The Commander in Chief (Navy) stared at the photos, "those a definitly Doujin" This isn't right, even our commanders would not go all guns blazing into a Doujin Class. Get these back to CYSIS, ask them for intelliegence on the ships commanders and where the hell those ships came from, we have reason to suspect that another fleet is in Rebel hands.

CYSIS, Directors Office: "You are sure?"
Yes Director, this fleet can only have changed hands, its the only reasonable explaination.

RE: Nerthus

Have observed your pursuit of Nerthus by sattelite (see Frames 121-500 in attatchment), have noted additional Doujin-Class ship has joined Nerthus in last 48 Hours. Arrangement of some deck items not to public specifications released by Doujin Corp. (See Frames 502-531), this may be result of classified equipment aboard both ships. Unable to I.D. second Doujin-Class by Sattelite. Advise cautious approach, Both flotillas escorted by submarines (See Frames 700-1000, surface radar wave-disruption scans) Also: Reading high neutron outputs, Nuclear Weapons confirmed present both ships. If they'll fire on their own, we assess they won't have a great deal of moral difficulty using Nukes on someone else.

We have a plan, awaiting Emp. Miller's Okay to begin implementation, if OK given, will need your assistance. Neither ship looks like it's bound for our territory, and commitments in Pacific and Indian Oceans prevent our sending significant naval or land forces into the area. (not that our forces are all that significant, Rebel flotilla already bigger and more advanced than our whole active-duty navy less submarines.)

Apologies for disagreements in Haven. Please excuse past-politics.

Chancery, Nha Tranh, Nuevo Kowloon, Closed meeting...

"We've confirmed that the Nerthus has a bigger escort than we were told, ma'am." Admiral Trung said, handing the Sattelite images to Amanda Ngo.
"It figures, Li, the Doujins are a proud people, they aren't going to admit the problem's reaching unmanageable any more than we were going to admit we were in such bad shape after the Austians hit us... Don't send a copy of Flashlight the Scandinavians unless and until we get the go-ahead, I don't entirely trust 'em, though if it ever leaves this office, I'll deny I said it and fire the one who does." Her gesture shook the I.V. bottles hanging on a rack next to her chair.
"Roger that..." Trung said nervously. "Carolyn, how's production coming on those ships of theirs?" Amanda asked, turning her attention to her Neice, the lead local-contractor at the Doujin Shipyard in Haiphong.
"One's finished, we've got another one about halfway completed, but..."
she tapped the sattelite photos, "Three of those ships were supposed to be stationed here when they took possession of the first units. It's a sucker-bet they know how weakened we still are, and with the Yard running but no Doujini military troops present besides that advance team, we're an easy mark-I've seen the specs on those guns, they'll blow right through two or three layers of Haiphong City itself without much of a problem, and there are silos..."
Everyone shivered at the mention of 'silos'-Nuevo Kowloon has been attacked by Ballistic Missiles before.
"Figure out a weakness, something we can use if they decide to go pirating in our waters." Amanda said. Carolyn nodded, "I'm on it now, but I would bet next year's pay on this job that what we're building in Haiphong is the Monkey-Export models, any obvious weak-points are going to be fixed on the Line models they built in Xendi, you watch."
Dr. Cu'ong was silent in the back of the small chamber.
"Doctor, how's your deranged little scheme progressing?" Amanda asked.
Dr. Cu'ong stood up. "It's on track, we've got four flashlights up, I've calc'ed the Ephemeris for the sattelites we think the Reds are using, and I've already worked out ASAT plots to knock them out. Alll we need is permission from Doujin to proceed with phase one, and cooperation from the other allied nations to carry out phase two. It's not a deranged scheme, either, ma'am-it's rapidly becoming apparent that it may be the only hope anyone has of stopping this before he incinerates someone's city. The Area of Effect is a lot tighter than Dr. Teller's equations originally indicated, the allies will only have to wait about a thousand miles out if they keep their hatches closed, are hardened, and have their electronics turned off when the Flashlight goes off, that's about a third less than the initial numbers indicated... but Sattelite coverage is going to go bye-bye immediately after-at least, in the hemisphere of effect."
Amanda grunted, "Solution?"
Cu'ong shrugged, "Nirtsats. The duration's short, but after the immediate problem of cutting off Nerthus from commo and sensor data's been accomplished, the fight can proceed inside his range, and without the ability to coordinate his defenses, the other allies should be able to take him-and that other one. Once that's done, our allies can probably rebuild or retask their networks."

19-05-2004, 22:53
Aboard the Soverign, Rear Admiral Marcus Patinkin was getting anxious. He was looking at the radar trying to locate the renegade Doujin. Not that any Sarzonian ships could stand up to one in battle. He just wanted to rid the seas of a clear menace.

However, everything was about to change.

The communications officer received a message marked urgent from the naval command in Nicksia. She frowned.

"Admiral, I've got Navy Chief John Newman on the priority channel. He's ordering you to pull all the ships from Operation Manhunt and send them all to Sarzonia."

"What?" Patinkin grabbed the headset from the hands of the communications officer. "John, what the Hell is going on."

"Emperor Miller is ordering countries that aren't cozy with them not to pursue the ship. In fact, he's saying that firing on it would be considered an act of war. Marcus, I know you want to do the right thing, but a war with Doujin is one we can't afford. Even if we were lucky enough to fight them one-on-one. You know the old saying, discretion is the better part of valor. Newman out."

Patinkin carefully pulled the headset out of his ears and handed it back to the communications officer.

"Notify all ships in Operation Manhunt to break off the chase and head back to Sarzonia," Patinkin said. Guess we'll have to wait for our chance to get that sonofabitch Miller Patinkin thought.

Meanwhile, Sarzo was also thinking. He had just had an argument with his now former intelligence chief, who again argued that a Doujin civil war was the perfect opportunity to bring them to their knees. He didn't trust Miller, but he wasn't about to throw Sarzonia to the wolves. He didn't relish having his former employee taken to prison for attempted assault. He especially didn't enjoy having him put in strict isolation, but he realized that if he were allowed to run unchecked, Sarzonia would quickly become a shell of itself.

Hopefully, that ship won't make us their target, Sarzo thought. But still... Sarzonian military forces readied their anti-missile defenses in the event the runaway ship decided to fire everything it had against Sarzonia. Sarzo knew it was only a matter of asking Parliament for a declaration of war if a war with Doujin were his aim, but he wasn't going to pull that card unless he were forced to. And not without an enormous coalition.

"I am ordering all seaports in Sarzonia to arm themselves in the event any hostile ship enters our waters," Sarzo said. "All defense systems will be on orange alert."

If that ship crosses into Sarzonian waters, that will be considered an act of war against us, Sarzo said. Let's hope they don't try to push us to act.

Our analysts are showing between three, and six boomers, or a combination of three boomers and three Attack boats, details are sketchy because their Stealth-Tech's that damn good.
I'm personally inclined to assume larger numbers moving either on the flanks, or deeper, near the Atlantic ridge, which would mask them from Sat observation.
confirm minimum of three, though-check the shadows in Frame 211 and 221 (sent ahead with previous message)

The First Lord of the Admiralty, Sir Anthony Wilson, and the Chief of the Admiralty, Admiral Sir Michael Carstairs, reviewed the information that had been streaming through from intelligence sources and international news agencies for several days. His Majesty's Government had placed the defence forces on high alert, like most other nations, but had sent any vessels to stall the Nerthus or other rebel Doujin ships. The RINN was heavily outgunned by the Nerthus alone, but treaties are treaties.

Sir Anthony shuddered as he picked up the phone. "Connect me through to the Prime Minister at the Palace, Elizabeth."

Admiral Carstairs, unlike the politician, was resolute. "In this instance, Sir Anthony, our interests and those of the Doujin emperor mesh perfectly," he averred. "We must do what we can, if the Emperor permits us, to retake the Nerthus."

Prime Minister Oliver Yardmouth and the King were likewise in agreement. The Rapid Reaction Force, along with all the Pechtas-class and Stortbek-class submarines would be sent in the direction of the Nerthus. One Royal Edmund-class carrier, the HINMS Royal Sebastian, would carry the first drone air wing ever mustered by the UKIN. It was a comparatively insubstantial force, but the best one the United Kingdom could muster.

Likewise, Larsen, you do not know the full capabilities of the refitted Doujin Class, let alone the refitted ships escorting her.

Emperor Miller was on a boat by himself, heading towards the Nerthus. The water was calm, and the Fleet loomed ahead of him. Out of no where, fire erupted near the water of the boat. Bullets sprayed all around the boat, and Miller ducked down hoping to escape them.

A bullet penetrated the hull of the boat, and hit Miller in the arm. Moaning in pain, he rolled over and pushed a button. A Flare went up into the air, and seconds later explosions could be heard as the ships that fired upon him were utterly destroyed. Crawling to the radio, Miller radioed the Nerthus, and requested a meeting with Admiral Lange. He would get control of both the ships diplomatically, no matter what the cost.

I sent a TG in reply to your last request, Doujin. Still haven't gotten a response. My people still can't/won't act without your government's okay. I'm presuming (I would guess it's a lot of presumption) that the ships being built at Haiphong are NOT Doujin-Class vessels, but secondary types in the supporting classes. A ship that takes two decades to put together wouldn't, after all, be profitable to outsource to a remote nation like mine...

Chancery quarters, Nha Tranh...

"...trying to negotiate." The Doujini ambassador concluded.
Amanda sat quietly, sucking oxygen from a tube, she seemed asleep.
"Chancellor?" he asked, prodding.
She raised her head. "It'll be another week before we can send ships around the cape, Ambassador. Based on what you've just told me, I doubt our Naval forces would do much good in any case, as long as the C3 and Elint systems are still active on those vessels, our stuff can't get into range, and as long as those Air-Defenses are networked, missiles won't do much either. Best I can do on the short-term, is activate the Reserve subs, and send the active duty-groups in-which I've already done, but it's a week or more before they'll arrive anywhere close to where they might be of some use to you."
He digested this, and asked, "And Flashlight?" his tone was questioning.
She shrugged, "If Miller wants it, it's available now-but if he's going to negotiate in person like this... We'll hold it in contingency, in case Lange decides to take him as a hostage."
The Ambassador raised an eyebrow, "Really?"
She nodded firmly. "Really. We support our alliances, Mister Ambassador, but we don't try to run things for them. If Miller thinks he can talk them down, that's great..."

"Come ninety degrees to Starboard, Mister Chien" Captain Bao Anh Dung spoke quietly.
"Aye sir. should we surface and let the Diesels breathe?" WO Dao Chien asked.
He nodded, "Might as well, Mister Chien, at twenty-five Knots, we're not going to be anywhere Near the enemy for another five days... should get some fresh air while we can."

[Satellite in geostationary orbit]

The satellite tracked the movement of the numerous forces,as well as the main rebel fleet surrouding the rogue flagship of the Doujin Navy.Images were collected and sent to Intelligence for analysis while High Command pondered what approach to take with the rogue battleship,

Nuclear weapons had been detected, from neutron emissions,as well as monitoring of communications of the parties involved.

[Ilham High Command]

High General Khan slammed his hand down onto the table.Silence settled as the other commanders of the armed forces remained silent, the commander of the Special Operations Division,Colonel Jager, coughed silently.

"We will continue monitoring the movement of the rogue. Our response to the Doujin if are interests are threatened is well-known by nearly every damn intelligence agency in the bloody world. The nuclear option. We can't match the Doujin forces on sea or air,but we can match them in space and on land, especially in covert ops."

The High General dismissed the remaining commanders as he retired from to his office.Colonel Jager looked at his retreating form, his own plans slowly forming in his mind.

[Fortress Horamheb]
The signals were sent to the various units,as the special forces were brought to full readiness,as well as the nuclear stockpile,'warmed' and ready for launch. All that was needed were the codes.

To:Emperor Miller of Doujin
From:Prime Minister Tan Chok Tong of Ilham

Emperor Miller,it seems that you may have a problem in the form of a rogue battleship in international waters.Several of your allies have offered to help you.I however, can assure you that if necessary,Ilham will ensure the *complete and utter nuclear destruction* of that rogue fleet, should it have the teremity to enter our territory or threaten our allies.

Doujin should also be well aware that your ships may not pass through our waters in pursuit of this rogue, nor may you use the facilities of our other territory, the Protectorate of Saudir.

I wish your forces luck in handling the monster Doujin has created.Let us hope that no...untoward incidents happen that may create unneceesary death for other nations who are involved.

To:Admiral Lange of the Nerthus
From:Colonel Jager of the Ilham Special Operations Force

Admiral Lange,I congratulate you on your skillful handling of the rebellion so far. From one warrior to another,I send you my respect.

Though our two countries have been.....on less than friendly terms,I extend to you an offer of exile.Should you choose to surrender to your former comrades eventually, know that you will have a place in Ilham and Saudir.

We do not offer you a place of refuge to berth your ship,as that would attract undue attention. On the contrary,we are willing to destroy your fleet with nuclear weapons should you choose to violate our territory or threaten our allies.Should any of your fleet or the Doujin itself come into our territory,we will see to its utter and total destruction. The same goes for your former comrades who hunt you now.

However, should you surrender your current rebellion, you and your men may take refuge in our country or our protectorate nations of Saudir. This is a conditional offer. We will have nothing to do with one who is still loyal to Doujin.

OOC: Don't bother, Ilham - you are ignored.

OOC:do not bother Doujin,YOU are ignored.the others-well, I think they will at least take my actions into consideration which enhance the story a bit.At least this is not like you interfering in my personal relations with other members of nationstates online.which is downright damn bloody rude. This is a roleplay, and it is open,or am I wrong? The thread did not say it was closed.

Oh don't worry,I don't have any Doujin vessels in use when I roleplay I refuse to use any of your products,no matter how inferior or superior they may be.So it settled that I don't have any Dojin vessels.

I will involve myself in this as I choose to do so and it is an open RP,and I wil in turn ignore any 'ignores' from you.Let us settle this with a showdown perhaps. It is about time.I have more than had enough with your damn cheek and insolence to interfere with my relationships with others on nationstates, especially in the GDI,where you were clearly interfering as well as insulted Hogsweat, the GDI leader, implying that he was a bad leader.I have left you well enough alone for the past few months, but you chose to ignore any unwritten truce we had AS WELL AS interfering with private relationships with online associates.

as such,I do not give a DAMN about whatever happens in this thread.I will play by the rules and follow the laws of the story(you expect me to godmod?go ahead and dream because that's dishonourable to me,so I won't do it).I have learnt from lessons when I was still a newbie of the effects of that. With those lessons in mind,I approach this in order to teach you a good lesson about respecting others, especially about insulting others.Hogsweat did NOTHING to provoke or insult you, merely stating his support for me as a member of the GDI and as its leader, and you went ahead and implied that he was a bad leader, insulting him.

I quote:this is a transcript which can be found at the main thread, which is here:

Ilham:

This is Doujin's thread and thusly his story. He has asked you to leave. Please do so and bother him no more.

His ignoring you does not prevent you from playing with others. It does, however, prevent you from interfering with his storylines.

Ignoring his ignore and then ignoring him in turn has been done at least once by players who somehow realized that such actions tend not to win them respect... Mishakal, I think it was. Such childish "neener neener I got you first" antics are below your standards.

As are equally childish threats of "I'll see you at the flagpole after school." Beating people up rarely instills respect and threats of physical violence are not tolerated on this site. I recommend you allow your grey matter to do the thinking and to tone down the testosterone.
He is not the only one who may be being cheeky.

He is not the only one who may be being rude.

If you have a problem, take it to telegrams. For now, respect his wishes as you expect him to respect yours. I have confidence that you (both of you) can be mature in this matter.

OOC: Thank you Scolopendra. And Ilham, since you decided to reference that and say that it was because he supported you, that is far from the case. Hogsweat has literally 'ruined' what could have been a good alliance, and I left because of Hogsweats lack of knowledge in the leadership area. Hogsweat is merely a child, which isn't a bad thing - but is not capable of being in a leaderhsip position and actually being effective.

Okay, now that that's been settled, Doujin, when is the story going to continue??? Damn you, you've got my interest piqued now, I want to see what happens next!!! Miller's going to negotiate-a move that's almost stupid-brave, I've GOT to see if this works! It's gone from being another "Let's start a civil war and see who comes" to being something actively different enough to maybe stand out...
