GMIndustries looks to acquire 2nd Fortune 20 corporation.

Great Matean Associated Press - 15 May

In surprising turn of events, GMI Chief Production Officer Jim McGrath announced that the government owned corporation would begin aggressively pursuing the acquisition of a fellow Fortune 20 corporation.

"We've been having very inconsistant sales recently," says McGrath, "Assimilating another successful corporation is the best way to compensate for this, as it will increase both our available tech and expand our customer base. While we don't doubt for a second that such an acquisition will be incredibly expensive, it will pay off in the long run."

Great Matean Industries, originally created to serve as the domestic weapons manufacturing department of the GM government, has been struggling to maintain high sales levels since the emergence of GM from its 4 year isolationist period. April to May revenue totaled only $40 billion after approximate sales totals of $500 billion in March. Many analysts see this as the effect of the loss of credibility and economic influence that occurred when GM suddenly entered its isolationist period. Since reopening its doors to the foreign market, GMI has failed to attract large numbers of high profile customers, and, until recently, has been unable to distinguish itself from other storefronts based on technology.

OOC:

Basically, I'm attempting to restore GMI to the powerhouse it was before I stopped playing NS for 3 or 4 months during the winter. GM has a foreign affairs budget measured in the trillions that I rarely ever touch, so any nation that comes forward will be handsomely rewarded. The acquisition of the corporation will, of course, include production rights of all technology the corporation is responsible for. If you are the owner of one of these corporations:

and are even slightly interested, please telegram me or send me a message on AIM (Battousai 0000) or MSN (slash6924@msn.com).

OOC: Nation titled "Fortune Magazine" who plans on collecting revenue totals from storefronts every 3 weeks and publishing the list of most successful storefronts. The list there is based from sales from early April to early May.

(OOC) Doujin, why would you sell to a much smaller company? if anything, Doujinshi Corporation should be buying up other companies.

*Shakes fist* Comments like GMI being small are the reason why I want it to do something to return it to pre-"me leaving NS for 4 months" power. Plus, that was a fluke month anyway. I had more sales May 6 then I did the entire time from early April to May 5, which is when the totals for Fortune 20 were calculated.

Anyway, 'tis a joke. I already inquired about taking Xylion off his hands, he didn't like the idea too much, despite the amount of money involved.

As a side-note, Izborski Industries is willing to offer it's services to any of the Fortune 20 corporations, or any other corporation viewing this thread - our services are outlined below;

Izborski Industries, a government-subsidised heavy-grade/military construction firm, have for years been routinely either replacing or refitting all non-Izborski engines on aircraft that come into Kelonia's air force - Our prowess in this field has allowed us to squeeze further performance out of already skilled airframes, and increase the lifespan of current designs.

While we don't run a storefront per se, we are looking into the possibility of offering these services to used aircraft for a per-unit fee (depending on aircraft and upgrade type) and for a negotiable amount (straightforward payment, technology bids, discount offers or Mastercard accepted) offering the services of Izborski-trained engineers directly where the engines to go into the aircraft the good people of these corporations sell.

Gain the edge over your competitors by giving your aircraft the boost of having their engines designed and refitted by Izborski Industries' finest, proudest skill - think of it as 'tuning your turbojets' to give your product that edge over the chasing pack.

In a world where almost every modern airforce uses identical F-16s or F-22s, you want your product to stand out. You want to be able to stand up and say 'buy your aircraft from me, and you're getting the best' - and there's nothing that shows that more than squeezing every drop of performance you can out of the airframes you provide to convince the customer that your product is, indeed, the best.

~ Vladmir Izborski, CEO, Izborski Industries

If anyone's intrested in this idea, TG me about it (OOC: Might not get a quick reply, though, I'm going to bed in a minute) and we can discuss contracts...
