As a further step in the nationalizing of Gosselania's defence purchasing, the Gosselin Aerospace firm (currently producing Boeing 777's under licence) is gearing up to meet the expanding Air Force's Light Fighter Aircraft requirements.

Preliminary design studies promise performance and versatility comparable to an F-16, but at a much lower cost. The company cites top secret developments in materials and construction techniques as the main reason for the low price tag.

The aim is to replace the Air Force's current fleet of F-16's with a force double its size at as low a cost as possible without any loss in operational effectiveness or quality of the product.

The current design features a single engine (to be determined), delta-winged arrangement, and thrust vectoring with provisions for various weapons loads and the ability to use off-the-shelf weapon systems. Another feature we hope to incorporate is the ability to operate from forward airfields with shorter runways and minimal-to-no ground support.

However, the firm is looking for foreign markets. We hope to not only have an advanced fighter design, but also to have a strong export market. To help us in that goal, we hope to gather support from other nations. We need capital investment to help finance the project, as well as any contributions of technology. As of yet, we still require help with radar, powerplant development, and radar-absorbing materials.

We hope to stimulate some discussion.
