Breaking Story—Five Civilized Nations

Today, the Ministry of Health is pleased to announce that the Five Civilized Nations has finally developed a vaccine for the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), which leads to the incurable Anti-Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS).

Assisted by scientists throughout the world and various organizations, scientists from the Five Civilized Nations Ministry of Health has taken a leap forward in producing a breakthrough in the elimination of this fatal disease.

After years of research along with the deaths of millions worldwide, this sudden breakthrough is set to bring widespread joy to the world.

The Five Civilized Nations Ministry of House has insofar refused to release its data about the vaccine, but has assured the public and the world of its validity.

From sources within the Ministry, preliminary studies have shown the new vaccine as extremely effective in test subjects. Of the 200 subjects with HIV, only 3 subjects retained the virus within their bodies. The rest with the assistance of the new vaccine, seemed to have destroyed the virus.

According to the Five Civilized Nations Ministry of Health, the new HIV/AIDS vaccine is known as CaoPanacea, named after the scientist, Cao Wen, who discovered it.

The Ministry of Health has expressed its plan to distribute this new panacea to the world free, but foresees large monetary problems. However, with news of this breakthrough, the August Emperor of the Five Civilized Nations, Leto Crusade, immediately donated US$500 billion of his personal funds to the Ministry, expressing his hopes to save the world…

The new vaccine after some additional tests is scheduled to hit the world in late 2006.

Our government wishes to pledge 900 million burns to this distinguished cause. ($550 Million Dollars)

Doujin congratulates Five Civilized Nations in their advancement, even though Doujin has already been there. Doujin used to have a rather large HIV infection rate, surprisingly more-so in the heterosexual population than our rather large homosexual population (36% of the population is homosexual).

As such, we invested several trillion dollars over a large time period to develope the vaccine for HIV, and require that all people who enter Doujin pay to get the vaccine, as to further hinder the spread of the virus. But because it is a virus, we have seen it mutate already and have had to develope two new vaccines to keep our populace HIV/AIDS free, and so far we have been successful.

Our government also wishes to know if you are working on HPV.

In the United States, HPV is considered to be the most common sexually transmitted disease (STD). Some studies estimate that the majority of the sexually active population is exposed to at least one or more types of HPV - although most do not develop symptoms. Because HPV is so common and prevalent, a person does not need have to have a lot of sexual partners to come into contact with this virus.

Breaking News--Five Civilized Nations

Explosions have rocked the capital of the Five Civilized Nations, according to the state controlled Avant News Agency.

This morning at 8:30AM local time, three explosions rocked the Ministry of Health, destroying three-quarters of the massive complex. Of the 198,301 employees and officials working in the Ministry at the time, only half were evacuated. 3,678 suffered severe burns, while another 5,619 were hurt by shrapnel. The other occupants of the complex suffered mainly concussions and trauma.

Dr. Cao Wen, the scientist credited with the discovery of the new HIV/AIDS vaccine, and his team of world-renowned scientists and doctors were believed to be within the complex when the explosions occurred. Neither the doctor nor his staff have been accounted.

About 101,912 people are still missing in the aftermath of the explosions, as Five Civilized Nations medical and S&R teams have begun working in the ruins of the once beautiful complex, attempting to find any survivors trapped within the rubble.

The August Emperor of the Five Civilized Nations, Leto Crusade, has expressed outrage at this occurrence, coming one day after the announcement that the Five Civilized Nations Ministry of Health had discovered a viable HIV/AIDS vaccine.

Also believed to be destroyed in the three explosions was the central supercomputer core, the backed up computer network that stores all of Ministry of Health information and databases. Believed to be lost with this data is the information about the vaccine developed by Dr. Cao Wen and his staff of dedicated scientists and officials.

A Ministry of Health official who has stepped forward says that the development and production of the vaccine has been pushed back at least ten years, due to the mountains of data lost by the destruction of the centrla computer core...

Hattia sends our condolences to 5CN and wonders why someone would launch an attack after such a monumental achievement.

Hattia would like to donate 7 Billion USD to help production of the vaccine along with 700 million to the families of the people killed in the attacks.

Should you be able to reproduce Dr. Wen’s work we would like to but production rights. We intend on distributing the vaccination via our private networks. The Noviet Department of Commerance would, after legally aquiring production rights, lease those rights to private enterprises within Nova Hope so that they could produce and distribute the vaccine.
