The Emirate of the Hitokiri is proud to annouce that not only have our scientists developed the first, successful weapon of this type, but that they have done it in a manner that will make it economically effective within wars.

More information about this weapon will be released in an international meeting held within the Emirate of the Hitokiri. Representatives from every nation are welcomed.

The Emirate of the Hitokiri will not sell the technology that will be revealed on this day. We will however sell the manufactured product. Yet, due to our limited resources we will only be able to create so many at a time.

The only information that will be released at this momment is that the weapon is, in fact, a new type of warhead. And that it has absolutely no effect on biological beings, yet, one bomb can theoretically end a battle.

Schematics and a partial descrition of how the warhead works will be provided during this conference. As well as a demonstration on a dummy "army."

The meeting will be held on Monday May, 17th throughout the entire day.

OOC- This isn't sci-fi... based it on a weapon that has had very little attention in the research and development phase, but that is theoretically possible with our current technologies.

During the demonstration, a live weapon will be discharged at a variety of moving assault tanks. We will allow any foreign scientists and techinicians to inspect these vehicles, before, during, and after the firing to make sure that this is not a hoax.

OOC - an EMP generator with a high enough yield, that can be put into a warhead, quite a task considering the amount of energy required to creat the Electormagnetic pulese.

Electromagnetic pulses are fairly easy to create, and relativly easy to shield against; lots of folks have them on NS, but they're really only useful against most folk's civilian infastructure, and some even shield most of that. Tho, there are folks who haven't wised up, and an EMP will do a good job of ruining their day.

Actually, that's not 100% true...most people on NS have implemented minor defensive mechanisms that they claim will provide an immense defense...when it wouldn't stand up to normal EMP bomb detonations. I take claims of EMP invincibility with a grain of salt, but some people know how to protect themselves really and those claims I always respect.

As this goes, it looks more like an EMI/HERF gun system than a 'true' EMP, but it does look good.
