Sith is in the middle of a massive communist vs royalist civil war... I therefore believe his armed forces are too occupied to fight an external war. I am considering ignoring any massed attacks he has promised against me. Certainly until the civil war is ended of diminshes.

Actually, if you think about it, if the civil war ends, he will be in a prime position to attack. Everything will be mobilised.

When it ends he will be in a prime position to rebuild all the damage, the winning side will purge all captured prisoners, etc... Things will be chaos for a while.

Why would he purge them? He may offer them a gun, tell them to listen to logic, and send them to fight.

Has it ever crossed your mind that the Royalists and Communitsts, two obviously nationalistic entities, might set aside their diffrences and defend their homeland? Well... maybe they won't, but it could be a possibility.

coughMao and Chiang Kai-sek...Communist, Nationalist. Engaged in a brutal war against each other, 'til Japan comes and runs over Manchuria...then they unite and fight them off in World War II. After that, they go back to fighting each other again...cough

Anyway, FWS. I can now support you due to the fact that Vayaria has RL issues to take care of, so the war is postponed until those get resolved.

But I still need to know what type of technology is allowed. (Modern, ie stuff on the drawing board now; Near Future, ie stuff such as prototype energy weapons and such (Basically Starship troopers or Aliens minus the FTL), or Far Future, ie death rays.)

I can help the most if its near future-far future. I don't have too much 'modern' stuff.

The most modern tech I have is 2020, but I'm not deploying it. I'm deploying 2006.

You can use starship trooper style rifles etc... That is close enough to modern. There are such weapons being developed currently by the US gov't.
