It was a bright sunny morning in the small village of Al Faradin Mas in west Hogsweat. The sun was shining brightly, and the children were playing in the fields. Ju Mar Ali wiped his forehead.
jeez, its hot today He went back to raking the fertile, young soils of New Hogsweat. Suddenly there was a roar, and two trucks chugged down the road. Mar Ali watched them, and waved. The first driver was from the opposite village of El Faradin Mas. He walked over. In fluent Hogsweatian, they spoke.
Its not good Ju, not good at all
Whats wrong?
We're missing eight kids from the village. Just disappeared at night
You dont think it could be-
The conversation was cut short. A light tank rolled over a fence, crushing it. The two men turned, and the people on the truck opened fire. However, their Sten's and 6MM rifles were no match for the tank. Its cannon fired, destroying a truck and splattering bodies around.
Crap! Get the women and children away!
Another tank came, this time from the east of the village. It was supported by odd looking troops. They smacked the defenceless villagers with the butts of their rifles, dragging them into their nets.
As quickly as they had come, the odd soldiers retreated. Off the coast Ju could see a small cutter with no flag high.
Another Hogsweatian stood next to him.
its no use. We should tell the Garrison
Ali dropped to his knees and shouted.
His wails were heard for miles.
Comrade Chukiov made a response on national TV, not even one our later.

"We shall not let the filth get away with this! As we speak, we are tracking them into international waters. The Red Navy shall get them comrades, no fear!"
The two Destroyers, Ria and Fia were steaming, hot in pursuit of the slaver cutter.
Comrade Aleksiov stood on the foredeck of Ria, with a loudspeaker to his mouth.
"Halt! You are under chase by the Red Hogsweatian Navy! Halt NOW!"
The cutter put on speed, outsailing the destroyers. The two fast craft sped up, and flanked out on either side of it.

The Government of Falastur, hearing of this atrocity, is outraged that this could happen so close to our shores. To combat this, and bring these slavers to justice, we have dispatched a patrol squadron of 8 Fast Patrol Craft and 8 Gunboats, to follow this slaver ship.

They approached The Cape of Old Hogsweat, Comrade Aleksiov still in fast pursuit. The cutter was now peeved off. The crew fired back, the 5" smacking into Fia, ripping a small hole in teh foredeck. Fia retaliated, the double 8" Coming into action, and around five rounds were launched. The first three splashed into the water, throwing warm blue sea onto the slaver cutter. The next hit a rock, blowing it apart. The next hit on target, and the crew cheered. The shell exploded on the cutter, and the ship retaliated. A slaver, with a RPG9 stepped on deck, and while kneeling, let off a rocket. It flew and hit the bridge of Fia, turning it ablaze. The 5" came into action again, smacking a direct hit against Fia's 8" cannon. The destroyer pulled off into a Old Hogsweat port, now out of action.
The whole nation watched the raging sea chase, via a helicopter swining overtop. It was also broadcasted internationally , with a two second delay.
The falasturian ships came in from the east, cutting off the Cutters escape route. It turned sharply, and nearly smashed into a rock. It turned its 5" on a falasturian gunboat, firing several shells off.

Taking quick evasive action, the squadron split up, each ship going a different way. The gunboats quickly moved to create a perimeter around the slaver. Each gunboat turned its small but often effective gun to face the slaver, firing shots aimed at its bridge, radio room, and other above-deck buildings. The craft twisted circles around the slaver until they were on all sides of it, continually hammering away at it. A couple of the gunboats turned their guns to aim at the rudder and engines of the ship, in an attempt to stop it, but it would take time.
The patrol boats skimmed the water in front of the slaver, attempting to slow it down by presenting themselves as obstacles, but with a safe enough distance between themselves and their enemy. Finally, a voice broadcasted from one of the Patrol Boats, displaying a Commdore's penant.
"Slaver Craft! This is your first and last warning! Halt your progress and allow yourself to be boarded and taken to a Falasturian port, or you will be incapacitated! We advise you surrender now!

The cutter was in a bad position. But it was saved. Ten miles to international waters. THen it was free. And to help it get there, it had a big ally.
The massive Battleship chugged along slowly, the 16" cannons turning to face the small Falasturian gunboats. The first set fired, sending the huge shells across the water towards the falasturians. A second Battleship appeared across the line, and while the Falasturians were attacked the Cutter sped into International waters, in hot pursuit by the repaired Fia. Fia however, was not in good condition, but was eager to continue the fight.
Ria was tiny in comparison to the Battleship. Its biggest gun was the Battleships smallest gun. Hpwever, the crew was brave and their morale high. With Comrade Aleksiov on the forward bow, there was no way they could lose. Well...

OOC// I need someone to take control of the slavers. It would be nice also if you were responsible for them, but not needed.

You better be good !!
Thanks
The slaver cutter reached International waters, and turned south, heading away from Horsweat - their job was done. The battleships had served their purpose and had allowed them to reach these protected waters. The Hogsweatians couldn't do anything to them now.

Fia chugged along slowly after the cutterr.
"CRAP! ITS GONE INTO INTERNATIONAL WATERS!"
Fia, an unreliable old destroyer could not catch up with the cutter. However, the 4th Fleet, operating in International Waters could.
"Captain, theres a fleet up ahead, roughly 10miles away! What do we do?"
"Damn, right in our way. Head straight for them - they won't be expecting that. Act as though we haven't noticed them, but once we are within 5 miles of them, bring her up to full speed, and we'll try and dodge the ships - hopefully there won't be too many fast frigates and the like in amongst them. UNfortunantely we can't rely on our naval friends who helped us back there in Hogsweat so we're on our own for the moment."
The cutter powered towards the oncoming fleet, unaware as to its alleigiance, but prepared for the worst - they were slavers after all. Sailors ran up the Hogsweatian colours, hoping to lull the fleet enough that they could pass relatively unhindered. Various pieces of glassfibre were brought out form the hold and affixed to strategic places on the cutter, changing the shape of itself enough that a closer inspection would be needed to recognise it as the same boat.

The Fleet was silent and peaceful, the waves lapping onto the sides of the three destroyers, PSS Vibrant, PSS Invenrable, and PSS Grief. The small ships were dwarfed by the Battleship PSS Arasta and the Aircraft Carrier King. However, King was only loaded with Three Hind24 Helicopters - the aircraft had changed destination.
"Commodore, a vessel coming straight at us."
Commodore Mu-A-Ling paused for a second, before saying.
"Let them identify themselves"
"Captain, the fleet is just sitting there! Its not moving at all."
"Hmm. Maybe they are waiting for some sort of message? Send this to them." The captain writes something down and hands it to the radio officer.

From: CC Llan
To: Fleet
We are a small trader. We have recently been attacked by pirates and are currently on route back to our home port. We do not wish to cause you alarm by going straight through your fleet, but it is the quickest way to reach home. We do not wish to attempt to enter another port as we are unsure of the alleigances of those that control them.
Please allow us passage.

"You are clear to proceed. However, you must let us check your cargo first"
There was a hurried discussion in the bridge between the officers.
"If we let them earch, they're bound to find the slaves."
"But if we don't, they'll blow us out of the water."
"Gentlemen, lets hide the slaves in various locations around the ship, well hidden behind various secret panels we will build. We shall also send a message to them saying that our cargo is of the highest top secret given to us by ... Doujin! Run up the Doujin flag. If they still have a pressing need to board us, we will let them, but if they discover anything at all pertaining to the ships real cargo, we kill them all, and break for it."
The rest of the officers are in agreement, so the Doujin flag is run up, the various slaves are bunddled up into nooks and crannies, gagged and tied up so they can't make a sound, or betray their locations. They are then boarded up by cleverly concealed partitions so that even a close look wouldn't notice the slight discrepancies in size.
[code:1:a4446c8776]
We are holding a high priority, top secret cargo for Doujin. We will loose our contract with them if we allow anybody other than this crew on board, and our boss will not be too pleased with loosing a several million dollar contract with Doujin. [/code:1:a4446c8776]

The Falasturian ships, realising the game was up and they were vastly outgunned, turned about and sped away quickly. Before they could reach a safe range, however, a lucky shot from one of the destroyers fell onto the rear of a gunboat. The explosion and impact tore apart the rear of the ship, throwing the lucky sailors into the water, and the unlucky ones into the walls of their ship. The impact being thrown into the metal walls of the ship on these poor sailors was enough to kill all except two of the crew, who survived with concussion and several broken bones. The ship began to sink rapidly, the two crew making it to safety out into the open water where they were helped afloat by their dazed and soaked but alive colleagues. A Patrol Boat stopped to rescue the five survivors, and then sped off at top speed.
Meanwhile, hearing by radio report of the event, and aging Group Captain in the Falasturian Air Force received an order from the Military HQ in the Falasturian Province to order a flight of 10 F/15s loaded with air-to-surface torpedoes to intercept and incapacitate the destroyers, while a second flight went after the slaver.

<POST DELETED>
OOC: Fal, there are batleships around you. not destroyers - they are in the 4th Fleet ahead of the cutter. Kriegorgrad, who exactly are you targetting? My cutter, or Hogsweat's ships?
The cutter continued towards the fleet, and with still no reply they were wondering what the enemy were discussing.

I've decided to the leave the RP because I personally think Cyfrin sux at being slavers, his way of RPing would suit other kind of characters but not the slavers.
????
What do you mean? I'm trying to get the slavers away without being caught, and at the moment HOgsweat hasn't replied to my earlier posts.
Kriegorgrad
16-05-2004, 16:44
OOC: Btw, im not saying your bad like my earlier post made out, you'd more likely say "LISTEN ASSHOLE, WE'VE GOT YOUR PEOPLE ON OUR SHIP, LET US PAST OR THEY DIE!" Or something akin to that, be a bit more aggressive, your a bunch of brutal, evil slavers ye know! I decided to re-enter the RP but in a different way.
IC: Slaver Captain Kluh'ka'lich heard what was going on to his fellow slavers through the radio. "Eh, cap'an what is it we do?" His adjudant, Bik'us asked enthusiastically.
"Well now, we ain't gonna lose such good cargo now is we?" Kluh'ka'lich replied with a devlish grin, flashing a gold tooth. Bik'us grinned back before slamming the throttle down forward. Hard.
And with that another cutter with a small scrap-made frigate lurched forwards, battling against the ocean to save their underhand combrades.
OOC: As I told Hogsweat these aren't really slavers. The below is all OOC, and no-one knows it:
Cyfrin is a top secret Phoenixius intelligence agency, and only one person in the government knows about it. It was created for 'wet' opperations, of which this is one. Their mission in this is to capture a scientist, but to allay suspicion, they kidnapped a load of other people as well to make it seem as though slavers had struck.
IC:
The cutter plowed towards the fleet, the non-response by the Hogsweatian fleet boosting morale on board the ship.
"Maybe that threat persuaded them not to board us after all, hey captain?"
"Possibly, but I'm not going to trust them just yet - we are posing as slavers for the moment."

The Admiral laughed, almost out loud. Then, perfectly clear, he said.
"Doujin! Ha!"
[code:1:5411d511cf]You are NOT allowed to pass. We MUST check your cargo first. A slave cutter escaped earlier and we arent gonna let it anyone through[/code:1:5411d511cf]
Mu-A-Ling joked with his crew.
"As if!"

Hogsweat

OOC// I thought we did agree that you would actually be catching slaves?
OOC: I am. I'll be selling them later, or using them for various nefarious methods of torture or something. Its just the above is the ulterior motive for doing it - I still am slaving.
IC:
"Damn! Slow here down and allow them to board, we'll try to keep them distracted. I'll make some quips about them letting a pitiful slaver to out run them, and then offer them a drink."
The cutter slows down marginaly to allow the Hogsweatians to board.

Mu-A-Ling stepped aboard with a squad of armed soldiers.
"Hello. Now, if you will, please let us get on in peace"

OOC: Well the threads back to life, barely, and its about as alive as a dog with small-pox that cant move/breathe........but its alive :)
"Yeah sure. How'd you guys manage to let a simple slaver out of your waters anyway? Surely you had some ships in the water? Anyway, Doujin is NOT going to be pleased about this one bit. If any of the cargo is tampered with in any way we're going to be fired."
The captain follows them around the ship.

"yadayada Doujin... Who gives a damn"
The Admiral seemed to ignore the captains question, and continued on his way. There was a scream of
"HELP US"
From a small panel underneath the floorboards.
"What the hell was that!"
"Thats nothing. We're testing a new emergency beacon, and if it detects the boat slowing down, it activates and starts screaming that every so often. Silly thing is so damn sensitive that even a 1knt change in speed down causes it to activate, so we stowed it away and wraped it up as much as we could to dampen the sound."
As the slaver's crew waited for the Hogsweatians response to this reply, various members of the crew prepared their weapons, ready to take the intruders out if they showed any signs of discovering the real reason for the call.
