As the current trend is to declare new nuclear projects, becoming a nuclear power, building their first nuclear bomb, I shall buck the trend by stating the following:

Phoenixius has never been, and never will in the forseeable future ever own, build, design any nuclear weapons. Though we have nuclear powerplants, we are not going to turn this technology into weapons.

Though many see it as a deterent, the MAD scenario, I see that I have plenty of allies with nuclear weapons, and if any deterent is required, they will hopefully provide it. There is so much nuclear proliferation that it seems unnecessary to carry enough power to destroy the planet several times over.

Lindim must concur, and points out that since many of its IADF allies are very large, powerful, nuclear-oriented nations, there is no need to pursue such a project.

If your nation believes it needs nuclear weapons for defence, first check to see how powerful your allies are in the nuclear capability department.

Luckily for be theres barely anyone from my school on it.
