To be tried are Hendrik Rhodes and Gustavus Rhodes.

Hendrik Rhodes (42) Emperor of the Commonwealth and President of all Provinces. Rose to power at age 31 after his position as the youngest general (up to that time) in the Union of Republican Provinces enabled him to successfully win the presidential election by a landslide 94% of the vote. By age 35 he had the country renamed the Fascist White States. A voter plebiscite approved this by a 93% majority. After which the High courts were disbanded and a dictatorship was codified into law. Currently President Rhodes rules by Decree.

"His Holy Majesty's Government has stated that they have no official position on this development, however one official has been quoted as saying "Justice in the White Fascist States? We'll believe it when we see it, and not before".
His Holy Majesty's Government has been following developments in FWS with great interest."

"An offer is extended to those of Nobel-birth who now find themselves persecuted by those of lower standing and wish to grant them leave to my Estate on the Island of Thage. Though I cannot grant you entry to Rotovia as my Family remains unable to conduct our affairs there the offer remains open."

"These trials are applauded by the government of the Constitutional Republic of Rotovia and we express our joy at the final writing of the numerous wrongs done unto the people of FWS.

I must however stress, that our people will regard with caution any person to associate with the disgraced House of Thage, a family banished from Rotovia hundreds of years ago for numerous offences against our people including a conspiracy to commit genocide."

No, there was no such thing as a non-combant. Not guilty. And as for how I came to live here... I was born here in the 1960s. (Dr. Gregorov rises)

Judge: "Sir, you stand accused of overseeing the chemical weapons program of the FWS. Furthermore, you are charged with assisting in the setting up of the program. You were instrumental in the starting of the FWS chemical weapons program. Furthermore, you helped broked deals on the black market to acquire the needed chemical precursors after your attempt to acquire them under guise of legitimate medical research on the open market failed. Also and most serious is that you allowed the chemicals to be tested on political prisoners. How do you answer these charges? Also, your name sounds Russian, would you care to explain how you came to live in the FWS."

Dr. Gregorov: "Not guilty. There were no tests done on anybody with the intent to harm them. Also, my father and mother fled the USSR in 1938 and briefly moved to Romania. Later in 1938 they moved to Italy. My father gained Italian citizenship and joined the Italian army. After the defeat of the Italian army in North Africa, my father was offered a chance to join the Italian Division of the German Waffen-SS, which he accepted. Dr. Gregorov: "I don't remember."

Dr. Gregorov: "I don't remember."

Judge: "Where are the plants you worked at located?"

Dr. Gregorov: "I don't remember."

Dr. Gregorov: "I don't remember."

Dr. Gregorov: "I don't remember."

Judge: "Were you ever informed that the chemicals you were helping to make might be used in an attack on another nation particularly on civilians?"

Judge Danforth the Sith represenative overseeing these proceedings and a member of the pannel was interested by this lack of memory.

Judge Danforth: "Excuse me judge (Need an name) i would like to ask Dr Gregorov some questions on this matter. Dr Gregerov are you telling me that for six years of your life you do not remember most of what can be considdered your lifes work. Are you saying that you have all of a sudden come under a case of bad memeroy and i would like to remind you sir that the penalty for delibratly witholding evidence from this court is a very serious charge. You are being tried by Unified Sith laws no comment or the withholding of information is permitted. If this court finds that you are witholding information then iam afraid the punishment will be very severe indeed. I would advise you to double check on what you do or do not remember."

Dr. Gregorov: "I am sorry your honor, but I was once exposed to some chemicals and ever since then my memory is rather bad. I would willingly tell you all that you seek to know. But I honestly don't remember a lot of it. I cannot tell you what I do not know. I am sorry."

Reading of charges to continue.

Judge: "General Charles d'Albret, please rise."

(General d'Albret rises)

Judge: "Sir, you stand accused of overseeing the sale and/or trade of uranium produced in the mines of FWS to nations deemed potential threats. How do you answer these charges? Also, explain how you came to live in the FWS if you would please."

General d'Albret: "Not guilty, this is madness, we can trade with whomever we wish, who are you to tell us what to do. How did I come to live here? Well it is simple, when France lost Algeria and all the colonists left my father and mother chose to go to the FWS instead of moving back to a pathetic socialist nation."

Judge: "Wasn't your renowned for committing atrocities during the Algerian War?"

General d'Albret: "That depends what you consider an atrocity. But by your definition yes, he was."

Judge: "And the FWS still let him in and granted him citizenship?"

General d'Albret: "Yes they did."

Judge: "Isn't it true they even paid him 500,000 Fasces plus moving expenses to move to the FWS and assist with the army."

General d'Albret: "I wouldn't know anything about something that took place years before my birth."

Judge: "You mean your father or mother never spoke to you about any of this?"

General d'Albret: "I don't remember this and I fail to see the relevance it has anyway."

Judge: "Very well, I suppose you are right. We are here to find information on the FWS, not your father. You may be seated."

Judge: "General Gilbert John Cheyney, please rise."

(General Cheyney rises)

Judge: "Sir, you stand accused of violations of international law in regards that you helped organize persons defined as minors under the law into youth militia regiments and reserve units. How do you answer this charge?

General Cheyney: "Guilty as charged your honor. But hardly a crime worth mention. We sent our youths to summer camps, much like the Boy Scouts or any other typical youth function group. Although we put the emphasis on politics, religion, loyalty, physical fitness, and basic military knowledge in weapons and tactics. Hardly a crime."

Judge: "Because you have answered guilty I will pass sentence on you right now. I will take into consideration that you answered guilty and that it has not been shown that you have actually directly harmed anybody by your actions. You are hereby sentenced to 2 years house arrest in your estate in Central Province. You must not have any contact with FWS government or military personnel. Furthermore, you must pay a fine of 5,000,000 Fasces to an internationl help agency of your choosing. You have 6 months to pay the full sum. You may head home to begin your sentence."

General Cheyney: "Thank you your honor, most generous and fair. I choose to donate the money to the International Monetary Fund, I will pay right now." (Has an assistant bring him a case with the money in it).
14-05-2004, 21:04
Judge Danforth: I see perhaps you could name me the chemicals that you were exposed to. However in the meantime that is a suitable excuse you may sit down. However this claim will be investigated.

Dr Gregorov: "I was exposed to multiple chemicals at various times. In one instance I was exposed to Phosgene, it still causes me many lung troubles today. At another instance I was exposed to a key VX nerve agent precursor phosphorous pentasulphide, it has left my central nervous system damaged. My ability to recall specific information has thus suffered as a result. There were other times but they were too numerous and I cannot recall them all. But my wife is glad I am no longer in the chemical weapons field, that is something she tells me daily, so I cannot forget it."
