OOC: This is leading up to a RP I'm working on... but feel free to comment OOCly or w/e IC, but don't make any "official statement" of what you want this to be please... thanks!

Braodcast to the International Community
*The screen flashes red and yellow, then goes black. A second later, "WORLD ALERT" is posted on the screen. Five seconds later, it fades into President Villone of ViZion, standing at a podium in the newly remodelled "Speach Room".*
"Hello. I have some disturbing news. One of our twenty-four satellites orbitting the planet sensed something. It quickly took snap-shots of the area it was alerting its self and us, and sending us its reports. Moments later, we lost contact.
"We are not sure what has happened. Two of our satellites have begun moving into position to see what they find, after a quick distress signal was sent to us and all of our satellites.
"The pictures we have recieved to not seen to show anything... anything at all." He paused for a few seconds, and took a deep breath. "We do not see Earth... the sun, the moon... no stars even. They are all complelely black.
"Except for one.. which has was appears to be a bright light just off center, a little to the right and upward. It almosts looks like... dare I say, an Unidentified Flying Object?"
With that, the tens of reporters, and other viewers, started mumbling, obviously stirred by the Presidents last comment.
"Now, just a moment. We are going to get to the bottom of this. I am sure it is just a technical error on part of the satellite. We will get updates as soon as we get any. Thank you."
With that, he promptly walked off the podium, and out of sight, while the reporters were shouting questions, and the viewers quite disturbed over this, talking loudly.
