Uninhabited Kerguelen captured in secret

This is secret IC: being posted for the purpose of going back so others know my claim.

The members of the defense fleet came in in mid May, it was winter over this part of the world and therefore cloudy to stop satelite views.

The fleet that came in had
2 Nimitz CVNs with 140 F-35's plus support planes
3 Arizona BBG
1 Iowa BBG
5 Ticonderoga II CG(AEGIS)
6 Arleigh Burke DDG(AEGIS)
12 Farragut stealth DDG (AEGIS)
8 Perry FFG
4 Spruance DD
8 Galaxy SSN
2 Seawolf SSN
1 Ohio SSGN
10 logistical supply ships

The fleet was sent to protect the newly claimed islands in case someone attacked. 4 of the Galaxys moved to the southern end of the Ile Foch and began to prepare to generate power to allow heat and energy to start the drilling teams that arrived on one of the supply ships. The Galaxy's used their nuclear reactors to allow them to work in winter. The initial drilling team would begin digging in the mountain cliff edges to build protected ship shelters that would be safe from missile strikes and satelite surveillance. The heat generated wouldn't be a problem in detecting them as they were near a volcano and any IR activity on satelites would be dismissed.

A group of combat engineers began building runways. The support buildings would be built underground. The work would be year round even when there was no cloud cover, this was only temporarily a secret as they wanted to get a head start on construction. The 1st airfield would be ready for planes in 6 weeks when planes would arrive to use it. More supply ships were coming and stockhouses would have to be built too.

OCC: IDF, if it's secret, and just for reference, what do you expect the international community to say?

Nice French. Where did you get it?

No one RPing as France has claimed it, even if a France has claimed it the way NS works there are multiple of each land mass due to the large number of nations and limited land, I got this one by sending forces to the uninhabited island.

IC: 1st 2 intersecting runways were completed quickly. a squadron of 12 C-17 Globemaster IIIs came in with 250 troops each to occupy the temporary barracks and provide defense if anyone came. They would eventually move underground in 1 NS year when the underground barracks are completed.

an escort group of 25 various AEGIS ships and 8 Perry FFGs escorted 8 Ro-Ros with a total of 450 M-1A2 Abrams tanks and 350 M2 Bradleys

OOC: This is actually a real map of the real island.

35 Patrion PACIII batteries came with the RO-Ros

(OOC: From my knowledge, Kerguelen Island is inhabited, so there is no way for your secret attack to go unnoticed by the international community, unless you manage to cut off all communications... Even then, with the disruption of communications, you still have to be careful about curious investigators, wondering what about happened...)
IDF

OOC: I believe Kerguellen is uninhabited, even if it is inhabited, there are multiple on NS, so this one is mine and uninhabited.

(OOC: There are no multiple Kerguelen islands... And even if there were, Kerguelen is inhabited by an average of 100 scientists year round. It also possesses the radar installation at France and the EU uses to track its spacecraft...)
IDF

OOC: Even if France has the scientist, they will be allowed to work freely. I have no love for the EU or France, but I will let them continue the space program installation. I'm not too worried about the french fighting over this so my base will be built still.

Five Civilized Nations Declaration of War

The Five Civilized Nations, today, declares war upon the foul nation of IDF, who we have learned from communications with one of our scientists stranded upon the island that they have treacherously launched an unwarranted invasion of the sovereign island of Kerguelen. This act of aggression will not go unpunished. The Five Civilized Nations will work to eject the nation of IDF from Kerguelen Island and restore it to its proper sovereignty as a colony of France.

The nation of IDF has twenty-four hours to evacaute Kerguelen Island and its surrounding waters. If the nation of IDF does not withdraw, the Five Civilized Nations will have no choice but to eject the nation of IDF by force. We do not want to use force, but will not deign from using it.

The Five Civilized Nations asks for the support of the international community. We plead for the people of the world to sympathize with the plight of the people of Kerguelen Island and restore its sovereignty.

OOC: Do you realize that there are multiple of the same landmass in NS? COme one this is common sense here. I'd expect a nation like yourself to realize this. Many nations have overlapping claims and that is it. I am ignoring your war for the continued ignorance here of not realizing this simple fact.

(OOC: If you ask anyone, one gives a shit about the multiple landmasses and overlapping claims… Right now, in reality, nobody controls Kerguelen Island, but that does not mean that people won’t protect. If you want to be an ass, everyone in NS will ignore your claim of Kerguelen Island, as nobody will recognize it, for you will have failed to RP the takeover properly, with complete disregard of the original inhabitants of the island and of other nations that might already have claims to the island…)

OOC: Excuse me for doing it wrong, but I've yet to see a competing claim for this island or anything about inhabitants. I got this idea from a Patrick Robinson novel called Kilo Class, the island was uninhabited and used by the Taiwanese as a base in secret, no one knew until a ship was attacked there, (don't plan on attacking ships here). That is where I get my geographical data and idea that no one inhabited it

(OOC: Do some research on the island. You'll find out about the extensive scientific and research equipment on the island as well as the number of scientists and such on the island... It's uninhabited in the sense that there is no civilians living on the island, besides scientists and technicians...)

OOC: I guess I made my mistake in using the book "Kilo Class" for research. If there are scientists, they will not be tampered with and we may even add funding for them and take them out on excursions in order to keep peace.

FCN, you are declaring war because he stole a ROCK sticking out of the ocean.

I do not mind this assimilation.
