Submersible Fleet:

As the use of alumina casing hulls increased, more and more underwater assets were created. Eventually, it was found that the best way to defend these areas was to use sub-fighters, small combat submarines using slower supercavitating speeds to give them an advantage over other craft. It was found that larger submarines could give them an offensive capability, much like an aircraft carrier. The submarines you see here are the current, completed projects.

OOC: At last, a worthy adversary. I just finished my second Angelus class, and have a third on the way. Also have some limited escort abilities, haven't fully explored them yet.

OOC:
These are taken from the ASV Atlantis site... The subfighters are only 380 knots, and they're my largest supercavitating assets... Not quite a match to your Angelus, but cheaper.

We have 4 Dreadnoughts, 8 Oceania, and 22 Kalitha. I have such a high crime rate, so I might start a future tech piracy RP. Would you be interested?

OOC: Your subs are really nice. Much better than my fighter and transport subs. :)

But then again, I never did pay much attention to my navy.

One thing I noticed is that your barracuda looks very much like an aerial fighter. Is that design really the best for hydrodynamics?

OOC:

Yes, and no.

You'll notice the barracuda only has canards and tail type fins, not larger wings. It also has a more drawn out, rounded shape than other fighters. this is good for hydrodynamics.

Now, when they hit 100 knots, they're going to be in an air bubble. To turn, they need fins and canards extending from it so they can turn without disrupting the bubble and crushing the aircraft from the friction difference.

Hell yeah. As of yet, the Monitor hasn't had to deal with any major threats. Now with her CBG and the new Tiberus CBG, a super-cavitating anti-pircay RP sounds like great fun.

There you go... Bonus points if you know where I ripped the speech from...
