OOC: I OOC control all of the nations mentioned so its OK about permissions etc.

Spencertopia

In Spencertopia, there was an unusual attitude in the entire nation. It was an attitude, developed like no other. As of lately, there had been several riots in the capital, all expressing the same attitudes.

There was a growing feeling, that the current government of Spencertopia was growing to be highly inadequate, especially for international means. As such, there was also a growing feeling that the government in the north was much more powerful on the international scene.

There was no choice. With growing public pressure, Prime Minister James Langen initialted a state-wide referendum. With the results now in, there was a MASSIVE majority in favour of the proposal. As of 17th May, 2004, the Dutch Republic of Spencertopia was to be considered a part of the Austar Union, as a subnation to the federal government in the AU.

Santa Monita

With the news of Spencertopia joining the Austar Union as a subnation, worries began to grow throughout the city-state of Santa Monita about their recent treaty with the federal government in Spencertopia. Under the terms of the treaty, Santa Monita was a province of Spencertopia, which as of the 17th of May, 2004, was to become a sub-state of the Austar Union.

After much debate, it was decided that the small city-state was to also join Spencertopia in their quest to join the Austar Union.

Reaction of the Austar Union

President Mark Etherton:
"I am surprised at the attitudes and desisions in both Spencertopia, and Santa Monita. However, in order to prevent the curb of democracy, we have little choice but to accept the fact that both nations WANT to give up their own national soverigenty. As the leader, of a democratic nation, I have no choice but to accept the decisions of these two nations. Welcome to the Union"

After the President's speech, preparations had been made already to allow the two states to join the Union.

This new development brings the total states conceeded to Austarian control through free democracy to:

Does that mean you get to use Spencertopia and Santa Monita in any military engagements you might fight, along with the Austar union?

OCC: every nation has the Right to ignore Puppets or annexed nations by the Original nation in a conflict.

Well, I don't agree with ignoring annexed nations, but puppets are fine.
I mean, you won those nations fair and square. It would be silly if everybody ignored everyones colonies in the 19th century. Nevertheless, this is NS I suppose.

OCC: If that’s so lets add the over 25 nations I Annexed back in April and may of 2003 which are now over 2 billion each? Belive me its better just to war the nation without its annaxed or Puppet nations.
Roycelandia

I think it depends- Roycelandia and her major Colony of Roycelandian East Africa (Port Imperial, as it used to be known) are so intertwined RP wise that most people accept REA as being an integral part of Roycelandia (Think Algeria before De Gaulle gave them independence from France in the 1950s).

There's a huge difference between Puppets and Colonies- a Colony is an integral part of an Empire, whilst a Puppet is merely another Nation run by the same person.

I don't ignore Colonies, unless they have a ridiculous number, but I do ignore puppets when they're used by a nation to boost their military numbers to stupid levels.
