WPBC News Bulletin.

Moments ago a large bomb was set off in the capitol of West Pacific. The bomb went off in a resteraunt that Drucker, the Leader of West Pacific, had been dining in merely 2 hours earlier. The bomb destroyed the resteraunt and shattered windows in buildings within five blocks of the bombing. Reports are sketchy but it would appear that about 80-110 people, including women and children, are dead. The city has been placed under Martial Law, the troops stationed on Beresford AFB have been mobilized and are preparing to move into the city to clear the streets and make sure no other attacks can occur. All foreign diplomats in the city are being contacted and will be moved to an underground bunker where they will be safe from any other attacks, the Leader is staying in an undisclosed location.

As you all know about 30 minutes ago a bomb went off in the capitol. About 5 minutes jets were seen taking off from Beresford AFB on afterburners, hitting supersonic speeds before even leaving the ground. We have recieved information from some one inside the air base that four fighters took off without clearance from a base in the northern part of the country. The base commandent there has been under scrutiny lately for anti-government actions, we were told that the planes from Beresford were scrambled to intercept the planes, who are believed to be headed towards the capitol intent on attacking or destroying targets in the city. We will pass on further information once we get it, remember, all citizens in the capitol should be inside their homes, if you are caught on the streets you will be put under arrest and questions will be asked later. Troops from Beresford AFB have already started entering the city, these are limited numbers sent in to protect government officials in the city still, more will arrive within the hour to start patrolling the streets. We will be ending our regularly scheduled broadcast and we will continue to bring you live coverage of these events as they unfold.

As promised we have continued to bring you live coverage of the attack on our nation's capitol. We reported earlier of fets that took off from an air base in northern West Pacific. We just recieved work that the planes were sucessfully intercepted and shot down by fighters scrambled from Beresford AFB. We now know that the base commander was a suspected socialist sympathizer who was under investigation for his actions. He has been detained by the Internal Intelligience Agency. As we also reported earlier, all foreign diplomats were escorted to an underground bunker for their safety, troops were seen running around the Foreign affairs headquarters building with automatic weapons trying escort the diplomats to armored cars ready to wisk them away to the bunker. In the panic that followed two civilains were shot by the troops as they tried to enter the building, both have severe injuries but the doctors say the should both make a full recovery, one was hit in the shoulder and the other in the thigh. Drucker has yet to be contacted following these attacks, supposedly he is on one of the aircraft carriers off the coast of the Zoogie Isles where any domestic attackers would be unable to attack him. It is not yet known whether these are foreign or domestic terrorist. However, their was rumor of a group of soldiers sent in from a socialist nation that would see this great country of our burnt down to the ground. We will keep you updated as we recieve more information.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I am talking to you live from the Remembrance, our greatest ship to date. We are currently off the coast of the Zoogie Isles but are steeming back towards West Pacific and will be home in two days.

As I am sure you are all aware of, their has been an attack on the capitol of our nation. 114 people died in the attack on the cafe, I am not scared to admit it, I was a target of those attacks, I am deeply sorry to all those who lost loved ones in this attack. You may also be aware that planes from Beresford AFB had to be scrambled to intercept planes from a base from the northern region of the country, they were not responding to our attempts to communicate, we had no choice but to shoot them down to protect the citizens of our country who may or may not have been a target of their bombs.

I apologize for placing the city under martial law but we had to do that for your safety and to prevent another attack. Troops from Beresford AFB are patrolling the streets, please, don't leave your home unless it is an emergency. We do not want any more incidents today, enough blood has been spilled on our nation's land, we do not wish for anymore.

We have not yet confirmed as to whether this was a domestic or foreign attack. If it is foreign we have many possible leads, some are even our own allies in the LHS who are upset over our parties win in the elections two years ago. We will launch an invetigation to find out who it was that launched this attack on us. Whoever you are, their is nowhere you can run, nowhere you can hide, we will get you, your days are numbered, that you can count on.

"Well," he said to himself. "They ARE part of the LHS." He read further. "Oh! They fought socialism. That's good. Maybe I will help them." He continued to read. "Considered facist by many nations."

I doubt that the Czar thought. To socialist nations, if you aren't socialist, you are facist. He laughed. If they think THEY'RE facist, I wonder what they'll think when they see what all is in my concentration and death camps! He took another sip of livewire. They'd think I'm Hitler! Wait, he's on my staff! The Czar actually laughed out loud at that. The Czar sent a message to The West Pacific.

Good Evening. As I am sure you are all aware by now, the government has launched an investigation into the causes of these recent terror attacks. We now have an update for you. 37 Air Force personnel were arrested in connection with the planes that were launched from an air base in northern West Pacific to presumably attack the capitol building where several key members of the Leaders Cabinet were meeting. Also, the foreign diplomats who were in West Pacific at the time of the attacks have been allowed to leave the bunkers and go back to their embassy compounds under heavy guard. The city will still be under Martial Law through the night, people will be allowed to leave their homes starting at 6am tomorrow morning. Thank you, and good night.

West Pacific Armed Forces remain on the highest state of alert, all travel within our territorial waters has been banned, a Zoogie destroyer in the area had to be escorted out of West Pacific waters by the WPS Bonefish, a destroy with a Navy Special Forces boarding party on board ready to board the Zoogie ship in the first sign of trouble. The pilots of three planes were arrested for flying during the lockdown, two have been released, the last one claims to have been crop dusting but was first identified while flying over one of the major water reserves for the countries interior cities. 257 people have been detained for violating the Martial Law placed on the capitol, 64 were drunk and were kept in detainment just long enough for them to sover up. No further loss of life has occured since the initial attacks. The death toll is now 147 people dead, inluding 8 pilots of the 4 planes that were shot down after they were illegally launched and were believed to be hostile to the fascist party currently in power. We have contacted the people on the list of suspected nations in hopes of furthering the investigation into the source of these attacks. Galdania has since been ruled out as a suspect.

Recently two nations on our list of suspect nations have denied any involvemnt in the recent terror attacks on our nation. This is to be expected as all who are on this list, quilty or innocent would deny it, the difference is that only the guilty party(s) would threaten us after a denial of such an attack. These people are cowards who use cowards tactics of terrorism, they do not even stand by their actions, rather they say that "our people are a peaceful people" and "we would not need to stoop to such levels, so back off or we will attack." This does not sound like the actions of a government that is in no way involved in the attacks. We will not issue an apology to Red Scandinavia or Dr._Twist, not till they have been investigated and ruled out as suspects will we even take their names off of the list.

Besides, relations with Red Scandinavia can hardly deteriate much further, you did after all declare war on this government, or do you deny that too?

Scandinavian-Pacific relations took a turn for the worse today, as the Peoples' Federation expelled any representatives of the WP government present(if any) from Scandinavian territories. While the premier could not be reached for comments, ruling party(Unity List) secretary Keld Albrechtsen had the following comment:

"We strongly condemn the West Pacific government for its cowardly allegations towards our nation. Our government has made no threat save the natural detetoriation of relations that follows such a charge against our government as they have made - Our involvement of the war, if it can be called such, for we never deployed any troops inside the West Pacific; was a recollection of our debt to regional ally Hogsweat, not the result of bad standing with the West Pacific or good standing with their socialist insurgents as such. As for their wild accusation of us using covert terrorism towards other nations, well, that's just absurd. Never in our history has such tactics taken place from our side, and that is not as much due to our relatively under-funded covert ops. as it is because we have NOT done it.

We will make the result of our own investigations towards this attack available to West Pacific should they decide to apologize towards our great nation."


While no-one inside RS believes that an apology will be issued, party analysts hope for the best.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, the government just hosted a press conference, closed to the cameras, only reporters were allowed in, but we do know this, Kerla, Red Scandinavia, the Zoogie People, and Dr_Twist were removed from the list, oddly enough Xaniqall, who has raised the governments suspicion before, is now on the list, they are home to several terrorist groups, government aided and unaided alike. The government has issued an apology to these nations and wishes that this incident does not hurt future relations with those countries, they also hope that the nations who were removed from the list undestand that the government was in a panic mode and that was a very quickly composed list of possibilities, not all were likely targets, just possible.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, as I am sure you are aware of we announced in an earlier press conference that several nations had been removed from the list of possible helpers in the attack on our nation. What you were not told is that indeed know who it was that attacked us, it was a group of socialist die hards in Xaniqall, a small nation that has been under suspicion for quite some time.

Xanqall was our prime suspect from the very first moments of the attacks, we did not say such for tactical reasons, 2 days after the attacks we send a small combat group of 8 ships towards the nation of Xaniqall, on board are 560 of West Pacific's best trained soldiers. Their orders are to infiltrate Xaniqall and eliminate the terrorist group responsible for the attacks with minimal innocents killed. They landed at 2217 last night, they have since dispersed and formed 20 man groups searching for the terrorist bases, once they are located they will either be: A: Infiltrated, leaders captured, and removed before being destroyed with C-4 explosives or B: Using laser position to call in missile strikes from the ships at sea.

We would like to stress that these attacks are NOT against the government of Xaniqall, but against the terrorist groups operating in Xaniqall. We do not wish to be forced to use force against Xaniqall armed forces in our attempts to apprehend or kill the terrorist, we look at this as doing a fover for Xaniqall and we are willing to target other groups in the country if requested by Xaniqall as payment for allowing us into their country.

Today, clerks from the Peoples' Federations foreign office were pleased to report that the nationalist state of West Pacific has wiped the slate clean by apologizing to the people of Scandinavia, and removing this nation from their list of suspects.

The decision to expel representatives of the WP government from Scandinavia is currently being proposed revoked in the Central Communal Council.

(OOC: Just some basic info for WP, Xaniqall is a decent sized desert region in the Middle East. There is not really a government, just many decentralized but unified tribes. There is also only one city, most groups are nomadic, or permaculturists in small villages)



A rushed meeting of the intertribal council has declared this aggression to be unwarranted, and encouraged all Xaniq peoples not to cooperate with WP forces. All standing militia forces are being returned to their respective tribes. We assume that all terrorist cells will follow suite. The citizens of the capitol have sealed the city and all the defense forces of the city have been put on alert and are prepared to defend. We will not tolerate foreign soldiers on tradtional Xaniq lands without express consent of all tribes, and this has not been given.

Earlier today the Nation, well, um, we don't have a word to accurately describe them, the, um, oh boy, Tirabal councils operating in the region known as Xaniqall has issued a response to our campaign against the Al-Shi'ke terrorist cell located in that country. They have usually acted against targets within their own country but have struck out against us in retaliation for our violent suppression of the socialist uprising in our country years before. The Council of Tribes has decided not to allow our troops access into their country to apprehend the terrorist who attacked us.

1 carrier, two guided missile cruisers, 7 destroyers, 2 nuclear powered submarines, 1 hospital ship, 3 ammo ships, 4 freighters filled with fuel, and 9 troops carriers with 80,000 troops, 450 tanks, and 700 APCs on board were seen leaving port presumably headed towards Xaniqall to increase our presence there, the government has scheduled a press conference to presumably address this situation in greater detail.

I would like to give all the support I can.

In light of further aggressive moves towards Xaniq lands, the majority of the tribes have taken up arms, and all those willing to defend their traditional homeland have begun preparation for a guerrilla war, with key mountain areas being fortified and stocked, as well as various preparations in the open deserts and plains. The capitol keeps sentinel over the coastline, which has seen increased activity. Deployments of tribal fighters have been set up along the length of the short coast.

Xaniq tribal councils have pressed their Arab brothers in the United Arabia organization to come forward and help defend these lands. Any West Pacific movements onto Xaniq land will be met with all out guerrilla warfare, which won't be pretty. We know these lands very well, and can hold out far better than any foreigners. The intertribal council is willing to meet with delegates from West Pacific to further a peaceful solution. That is all.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, as you are now aware of we have already landed special forces in Xaniqall in attempt to eliminate the Al Shi'ke terrorist group, the group responsible for the attack on our nation. Since we did not seek Xaniqall's approval before hand for fear of giving away our plan's the Tribal Council of that nation has decided to move against out troops that have already landed on shore and the troops still en route to Xanqall.

We plan a short, decisive campaign against the Al Shi'ke terrorist, go in, destroy the bases, capture or kill as many of the terrorist and leave, hopefully this will only take a matter of months. Xaniqall's opposition to our attack's is quite frustrating. We assumed they would be more than happy to let us destroy a terrorist group that has attacked the Xaniqall government, apparently the government may have had more involvement than originally anticipated by the investigation team appointed to discover the origion of the terror attacks on our country.

Intresting, please keep us informed on how the military campaign is going as more facts come in.

We are well aware of your activity within Xaniq lands. However, you will not find any of our operatives, nor camps. When the Xaniq tribal council discovered your intrusion, we disbanded the camps and all of our members returned to their respective tribes. The only organized Al-Shi'ke groups you will find are small guerrilla cells that have chosen to fight. The rest will be with standard tribal fighting units, indistinguishable from their brothers.

We would also like to thank the tribal council for deciding not to turn in their brothers. We have been active in freeing Xaniq lands of foreign elements during the current intifada, and pledge to continue these activities.

We also call upon the Al-Fatah Movement to support our struggle, and the struggle of all Xaniq peoples, against this threat.

Dispatch from the Xaniq Inter Tribal Council:

Comrades,
Our capital has been under seige for several days, and at least 4,000 have been killed in brave defense of the city. We have fled the city proper, by request of our respective tribes, and are currently in hiding. The Al-Fatah Movement has taken over defense coordination in the city, and weapons are being distributed to all who can hold them, and many soldiers have taken to keep explosives on their person to be detonated in the event of capture. Escape plans have been prepared. Should it come to that, we want our enemies in West Pacific to know that the city will be razed in our retreat.

It also appears that around 5,000 of our brave resistance fighters have been captured. We do not doubt that they will resist attempts by West Pacific to make them talk. Initial reports we've managed to intercept suggest that many have already begun to commit the ritual suicide that accompanies capture in battle. We hope more deaths in this manner can be avoided.

The Al-Shi'ke movement has promised a campaign of bombings and hit and run assaults on the invading forces. We wish them success.

Finally, an ultimatum to West Pacific:

We have called upon our brothers in United Arabia to stand with us, and it is very probable they will. Further bloodshed can be avoided if you withdraw from our nation. We are willing to open negotiations and hear your demands.

Failure to accept this generous offer will result in a long, bloody guerrilla war. We know our own country better than you, and can survive far longer in its intolerable deserts. We have ousted imperialists from our land before, and we can do it again.

The press conference was filled with the usual assortment of journalists both local and foreign. The noises of hundreds of people talking filled the entire room. Then the announcement was made that the President was about to enter and everyone stood up. The second Saddam Hussein entered, people started clapping and cheering like never before. The President stepped onto the podium and was looking very modest, even smiling when he could see people were calling his name at the top of their voice. He gave the signal to settle down and eventually the room went quiet.

There would have been other, more diplomatic solutions to this problem, but no, it was quite obvious that the only thing that was on the agenda of the leadership of the West Pacific was the land and natural resources of Xaniqall. Therefore United Arabia has taken measures to end this massacre that the West Pacific calls "hunting down terrorism". Let me make it clear to the world that United Arabia condemns terrorism in all of its forms and wherever it strikes, however it is not an excuse to invade a country that does not even support terrorism. No longer will Xaniqall stand alone and no longer will fellow Arab Comrades be slaughtered by the barbaric West Pacific army. United Arabia demands that the West Pacific armed forces retreat from Xaniqall within the next 48 hours or the United Arabian armed forces will no choice but to take control of the situation.

And with that Saddam Hussein left the conference in a very happy and determined mood and received an immense amount of admiration from the crowds.

Military movements:

1.8 million Republican troops who have been stationed there for several weeks are moving across the borders and into Xaniqall along with 8000 T-90/IM (Iraqi Modification) and 6500 BMP-3/IM (Iraqi Modification). Many other vehicles including jeeps, AAA, SAM transporters and logistical vehicles have been moved in but the exact number has not been released publicly as of yet.

The ARAF(Arab Republican Air Force) is also on full standby.

We respect the opinion of United Arabia, but we are not interested in talking over land that is inhospitable and nothing but a deserted waste. We are after these terrorist who have attacked our nation. We are not imperialist, if we were we would be very half-ass imperialist as a country of 890 billion could easily conquer its neighbors and younger countries, we tried to stick with our policy of isolationism but this incident has proven that that is a failed belief. We will withdraw our forces before the deadline, we believe we have captured enough of the leadership of Al Shi'ke that such an attack will never happen again.

We are also getting bogged down in a war with FWS, we invite you to join us in our crusade against ignorance and recism to such a degree as them. We have sent 2 carrier fleets to the area, the planes that have been lating siege to the capital of Xanqall will be sent to FWS also, giving us 3 carriers in the area. We apologize for any civilian casualties and hope this will be remembered not as an imperialistic conquest of Xaniqall, but rather our revenge on a terrorist group for a dastardly attack on our people.

We, and all the peoples of Xaniqall, are glad to see that a peaceful solution has been found to this conflict, although we are saddened that so many had to die in such a senseless war. We are willing to stage further peace talks with West Pacific to avoid such an incident from occuring again. We would also like to thank our Arab brothers for standing behind us in our time of need, we will return the favor whenever needed. We would also like to note that, at this time, we are engaging in dialogue with the Al-Shi'ke Movement in hopes of deterring further terrorist actions.

Communique of the Al-Shi'ke Movement

Although bruised, we are not defeated. Many cells remain active throughout the world, and comrades within the organization have stepped up to fill the missing organizational roles. We plan on being back to the same operational capacity as before the war within a month.

Furthermore, we will not rest until all of our comrades have been released and returned to their homeland. If this means further bloodshed, so be it.

As for the wishes of the Xaniq Inter Tribal Council, we have only this to say: if you work against us, and for the aims of West Pacific, it will mean war against you as well.

Long live the intifada, free all Al-Shi'ke prisoners!

Any attacks against West Pacific by Al Shi'ke terrorist will be placed on the hands of the government in Xaniqall and our retribution against Xaniqall will be ten times greater than what was done to us. We strongly encourage the government of Xaniqall to dismantle the Al Shi'ke terrorist movement before they have a chance to regroup. I will once again re-affirm our position as of June 2, we will give financial assistance to Xaniqall if they agree to fight the Al Shi'ke terrorists.

The Xaniq Inter Tribal Council has agreed to pursue the active destruction of the Al-Shi'ke Movement. We will begin within the coming days.
