News Address from HRB's President

In a live television broadcast, President Bob of Hard Rock Beyond begins a speach...

As the treaty of the first war is broken by Glatannia, I feel I must make sure it is followed. As Glatannia rebuilds his military and recruits multiable allys, he is only asking for a war. As he said, Germany started WWII because of 'unfair' surrender terms in WWI, it lost in the end, and Hitler had been the cause of this.

Seeing that I can force him to give up ALL weapons, I feel it necessary to do so, with or without help from my allies in Sonic Hero Land. My other puppets, Der Neue Auftrag Jedi and Delta Force SAS, will join me in this war against a terrorist.

I have been wrongly accused, as I was reactivating old bases rigged with nuclear, chemical, and biological weaponry and powered by a nuclear core. In the bases are multiable missles and a missle silo. There are 5 heli-pads in each, meant to be able to land 3 Black Hawk helicopters, or a Defiant Class Starfleet Vessel, each.

Finally, he shows the signs of being the next 'Hitler', as he is not very stratigically wise, or even smart enough to back down. As a take-down force, my grand fleet will sail into the harbor, well over 400 ships, some carriers, many battleships, frigates, cruisers, and submarines come in. These ships will not fire unless fired upon, which includes the smalled of things.

Glatannia will be defeated, and his allies will be too, if they try to stop me.

Seeing this happen, and fully agreeing with Hard Rock Beyond, I have decided to give HRB a force of 150,000 Team Delta soilders, armed with Silenced M-9 Berratas, MP5's, Claymores, Frag Smoke and Flash Bang Granades, NVGs, and stealth suits to aid HRB. This is my elite fighting force.

I believe we were waiting on the outcome of a potential peace treaty between Glatannia and Sonic. Even though Glatannia had alot of coalition support, they have agreed to a peace deal. Rumor has it that Sonic has also agreed to the deal in principle but we have not yet seen it posted on the thread. Sonic will be notified by telegram to respond.

I have also know that Glatannia wants a peaceful resolution. He has been Telegraming me for awhile. But i have not recieved a Telegram from Sonic, but i hope to soon to know the status of this situation.

OOC: As of now, i hope everyone agrees that Hard Rock Beyond should be banned, unless he has something realistic to post. If you do post about your space-fleet YOU WILL BE IGNORED. In the event that a non-peaceful solution must be found Dontgonearthere has schedualed the movement of a further ten thosand troops, and strengthened its orbital presence in case any REASONABLY SIZED fleets come along.

R.N.I. Forces remain within a defensive distance ready at a moments' notice to come to Glatannia's defense. However, R.N.I. is firmly convinced that STT desires a peaceful solutiopn to this entire incident.

Again, R.N.I. forces in the area, include two carrier strike groups (2 Nimitz, 12 Arliegh Burke Destroyers, 8 Ticonderoga Cruisers, 2 Wasp Landing Ships with full escort and full compliment of RNI Marines (approx. 4,000], along with the requisite support ships and aircraft. We also have an undisclosed number of submarines... but that's our secret as to where and how many.

In addition, our fully dedicated Amphibious Strike Force Delta, also escorted by one Nicholas Kerencsky Class Carrier and with 4 Arliegh Burkes and 4 Toconderogas, which consists of approximately 20,000 troops is currently on a "training" mission less than 1 week from Glatannia's waters. OOC: No complaints here. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If some future tech came in, as you say, with legitimate reasons, it might be fun. Ever read the books by Harry Turtledove "World War, In the Balance"? It's about an alternate history in WWII where invaders from another World and much higher tech attempt to take over Earth at the hieght of WWII. There are several books in the set, and it is interesting.

OOC: We have one of the most inhospitable climates in the region. Barren and harsh. The weather's been fine by our standards, but we'd kinda like to relocate our nation to Fiji.

Oh yeah, I agree to the peace terms. Also in my own defense: I used the ignore thing twice, and I feel they were for good reasons. I can't speak for other nations though.

The MMI State Department hereby issues an official congratulations to both nations of Glatannia and Sonic Triple Threat for signed peace term agreements proposed by RNI and the Alliance of Independent States. MMI is very pleased that this situation did not degenerate out of control. We look forward to recalling our carrier group and invasion force currently situated in international waters off of Glatannia's coast.

K, so now what?

Due to the recent outbreak of peace Dontgonearthere is now recalling all troops but the First Fast Reaction Force (About ten thosand troops) to home. The 1st will stay in as a detterent force against agression by any parties against Glatannia, and we will continue to pay our 'rent' to Glatannia as long as the base and surrounding land remain under our control.

DGNT would also ask Glatannia if they would care to exchange embassies to further our diplomatic relations.

R.N.I. is greatful for the peaceful solution and publicly applauds STT and Glatannia. STT has demonstrated a strength not seen in many, but respected by most.

R.N.I. wishes to recognize MMI and Dontgonearthere for their commitment to an ally in the face of danger.

We will be withdrawing our carrier groups to an area much closer to home and trust the remaining forces of Dontgonearthere will be adequate.

It appears that war is not over. In a communique it received recently, MMI reports that The Federation of Luna II is not ready to settle the matter.
