Daylam

This morning, the Caliph Ibn Omar has abdicated his position of power in the Daylami state. He will remain as the caliph and leader of the Islamic community within the Daylami empire, but will no longer be leading Daylam in military and political matters.
His replacement will be the newly proclaimed Qaghan Kül Tigin II, who had led the military of the former caliphate and will now take up his duties as ruler and commander-in-chief of the Qaghanate.
From hence forth the official name shall be the Turkic Qaghanate of Daylam.
Polls among the three sections of Daylam (Iranian, Central Asian, and Chinese possessions) show that support is highest in the Chinese and Central Asian parts, but still in the majority in the Iranian section.
The Qaghan will be taking up his duties tomorrow. He has said he will continue in the wake of the caliphate, but his government is completely secular in nature.
