A cry for international help comes from Feazanthia

Feazanthia
12-05-2004, 13:46
The new Commander of Feazanthia, James Wallace, stood atop a stone podium.

"This is Feazanthia's darkest hour. As the forces of Doujin, the IDF, and the Soviet Bloc are approaching our shores. They claim that they want to topple the unstable government of Feazanthia.

However, the government that issued the warnings about nuclear weapons to the world is no longer in power. My predecessor, seeing his error, has stepped down. As for Doujin's claims to put democratic elections into Feazanthia, they are moot. In three months, elections were planned to be held anyways.

We have absolute proof that Doujin is being imperialistic. Their first target was exact shipyard where we are known to be producing a ship to rival the Doujin super dreadnaught. This shipyard was filled with civilian contractors and construction workers.

We cannot fight this war alone. Already our forces are beginning to suffer under the torrent of the foreign war machine. Please, civilized leaders of the world, if you have a shred of decency within you, help us."
Ozymandias IV

The Republic of Ozymandias IV is willing to offer mediation services between Feazanthia and the multi-nation force arrayed against it.

Conditional approval of all nations is required before mediators and peace-keepers can be deployed to the region.

The Republic will insist that Feazanthia allow neutral poll-watchers to monitor the upcoming elections. Further we will insist that the parties responsible for plotting to destroy the world's icepack face an international tribunal.

Your approval of these conditions are required for a successful mediation to this conflict.

Macisikan
12-05-2004, 14:42
In the Macisikani Embassy Baroness Aryet threw down the press release with a curse, and almost ran to the communications centre, where she went straight to the secure cell, sealing it, and performing the usual ID checks, before sitting in front of the keyboard.

>connect ssh: OffInatTeleComm
connecting...
username: baronessaryetsophronsa
password: ********
access granted.
>comm pir1 exaf
connecting... connected.
one moment...
A moment later a text box replaced the computer code, the cursor, blinking.
She typed in a virtual transcript of the press release, and a virtual transcript of her meeting with the ex-commander, and hit enter.
Aryet counted to ten under her breath, and then she typed only one word.
Instructions?

The wait was agonising.
Then, the screen lit up. A single line of text.

[code:1:f571d25b43]verbum satis sapienti[/code:1:f571d25b43]

A word to the wise is enough.
The final sequence.

She hurried out of the chamber, into the comm. room.
"Everyone!" she bellowed, and the room stilled.
"The final sequence has been sent. You know what to do."
They did.
Within minutes, a column of smoke was rising from the embassy grounds as papers burned, while inside hard drives were erased, formatted, reformatted, zeroed, formatted again and zeroed again.
CDs, DVDs, disks, were smashed or burned.
The secure cell was dismantled, the buffer systematically, professionally, and completely, destroyed.
Macisikan was pulling out.

Doujin

"You have no proof that Doujin is being imperialistic. Being imperialistic would imply that we are invading you to take over your land and annex you into my nation."

"The policy of extending a nation's authority by territorial acquisition or by the establishment of economic and political hegemony over other nations."

"Doujin has a serious problem with a military commander being in charge of the government. And we are dismissing your election claims as false, seeing as we have information from legal experts that the next election wasn't until next year! Going by statements Wallace himself has made, the government of Feazanthia is very unstable. And don't twist me bombarding Orichalon Shipyards (which, by the way, should be destroyed by now) - you stated yourself that you were doubling production speed of "Project: Barbarosa", and that would have been the largest immediate threat to Doujin. You were and still are a military commander. You knew what your predecessor was doing, and you failed to stop him from doing it. That makes you just as guilty and just as unfit to be in control of Feazanthia."

While your idealism is to be aplauded the Kingdom of Crookfur would recommend that you restrict your support to mere moral cocncern and outrage, active involvement in this situation could posssibly lead to not entirely pleasant outcomes for your armed forces.

Message to the nation of Doujin and its allies

From the Liberate President Jordan Hamilton

Reguarding the actions of Doujin + Allies.

The Liberate government pledges its full support to any attack directed towards the nation of Feazanthia. Crappy Governments suck, and must be dealt with accordingly. Liberate Battle Stations Salvadore II and Equirus IV will be redirected to provide Orbital Support to the forces allies against Feazanthia. Any other military support will be provided if needed.

For the Record: Feazanthia has accepted our terms for a mediation of this conflict in the other thread. The onus is now upon Doujin and his allies to show a willingness to come to the table.

I agree with The Republic of Ozymandias IV. There is always a peaceful way to sort matters out, evne ones as grave as this. As such, I commend them for seeing reason in a world of war.

We, the Empire of Kikoskriat, are willing to support The Republic of Ozymandias IV in any actions they choose to take to bring about a peaceful method of ending this conflict. We will remain neutral until either the ceasefire is broken or if the war is being fought either inhumanely or cruelly by either side.

The dominion of mental lands will assist those in times of hardship.

We are will to offer military support to this matter if it doses resort to war but until that time we will remain neutral.

For the moment I will open up trade negotiations to your country to ease your country’s problems

Zoogiedom sees favorable nations in both Feazanthia and Doujin; however, a close associate of the former leader (Vice President, no?) is generally regarded as a sign of more or less similar trends.

Feazanthia has threatened Doujin holdings by threatening to take back Xylion Industries, a Doujin subsidiary, by force.

Doujin also encourages the development of other super dreadnoughts, because they are more fun.

However, we will stand by Doujin as we are still slightly wary about this new government (OOC: Don't plan to be for too long; hope everything works out and such) and welcomes Ozymandias mediation.

Gaia Rodina, do not act rashly before diplomacy has been carried out, or before you know both sides of the story. We have no quarrel with Feazanthia any longer save our slight disposition with their government, and certainly no quarrel with Doujin. Intervene, and we shall have a quarrel with you.

Sarzonia looks forward to the peacable resolution of this conflict between Doujin and Feazanthia. We look forward to being an active partner in ensuring that peaceful times remain in effect in Feazanthia. We will consider any attempts by a foreign power to defile these attempts at peacable resolution by forceful means to be an act of war and we will respond accordingly.

Although the specifics of the causation for this war are still in doubt the Federation of Morathania would be happy to host peace negotiations in our capital Hamilton when this war is finally over. I second Ozymandias IV's suggest of peace talks. When this war is finally resolved I would like to give a warm welcome to the ambassadors from both Feazanthia and Doujin and her allies. You are welcome to hold a peace conference in Hamilton, Morathania. Thank you.

Yes I do believe that this issue can be resolved peacefully. At this moment if war were to break out I'd probably side with Feazanthia as I have fought alongside this nation before. Also I will welcome any peace confrences to be held in my nation, all expenses paid, in Turetel's Capital, Turetel.
