The Grenadier Guard General is meeting with the the Teutonic Knights General and 3 Reservist Colonles from the White Western Provinces

Colonel 1 "He is going to pull out of western province, he is betraying us all. He is betraying the squatters"

Grenadier General "That isn't one of our provinces, who cares, also they're squatting, stopping our peace plan"

TK general "Also it isn't treason, he is our leader"

Colonel 2 "We need your help, use the Knights to put help us take the capital, we have our regiments ready to move into action"

Colonel 3 "Yes, we will announce the new oligarchy after we take the capital, you can all be involved in it"

TK General and Grenadier General "We shall consider it, we must go now"

After they leave the room the colonels talk "Think they'll help us"

Colonel 1 "If not, we can look elsewhere"

TK General walking down hallway talking to Grenadier General "Get all 5 Grenadier Guards regiments on full alert, tell them only to be ready to fight rogues, I will get the City TKs on alert and mobilize a brigade of horse cavalry"

TK Leader to Grenadier general "They think the president is on holiday, he is really in the hospital. Keep that secret completely"

In the hospital being treated for injuries sustained
during a hunting accident, President Rhodes has given
temporary of FWS control to the General of Teutonic
Knights.


Meanwhile back in the White Western Province, 3
reserve regiments are being assembled, they are being
joined by 5,000 "squatters" who were in the disputed
region of the Western Province.


Meanwhile back in Rhodes City the TK general has
assembled a brigade a horse cavalry and has arranged
for 1 regiment or paracommandos to assist him. The
Grenadier Guards General has assembled 3 regiments of
Grenadier Guards for a total of about 7,500 guards,
5,000 cavalry, 1,000 para commandos, and perhaps 5,000
Teutonic Knights Special Police.

TK general and Grenadier Guards General are talking

TK General "All is prepared, they won't know what hit
them"

GG General "Yes, they think we're going to back their
coup attempt, but we're going to have them surrounded
and smash the lot of them"

TK General "Certainly a brilliant plan, they won't
know what hit them"

GG General "Do you believe we can trust the soldiers
to obey orders"

TK General "As a member of the Teutonic Knights, you
know how loyal we are, but you don't know our exact
numbers, let me clue you in, all Horse units are in
the Teutonic Knights, 1/3 of paracommandos are
members, all Grenadier Guards are members, and roughly
1/20 regular army and reserves are members. The only
trouble we've ever anticipated is from the White
Western Province Border Militia and Reserves, and the
"Squatters", they will have no other help in this.
They will fail"

GG General "Is the President well, when will he
return"

TK General "He will be out of the hospital shortly,
don't forget, he was shot when the rifle went off
unexpected, Thank God it went right through without
hitting a bone or organ"

GG General "Very well, let us make ready our forces to
crush this coup attempt"

Returning from the hospital, the president has heard word of the coup and he has decided he will defuse the situation by agreeing to the annexation of the disputed region into FWS proper. After meeting with the Reserve colonels and the top generals they all agreed and cheered.


H Rhodes "We will begin building bunkers and forts in the disputed zone tomorrow. Also start laying mines. Get supplies to the settlers and tell them to be ready for an attack by angry black militants. Once the blacks see the concrete being poured and the fences going up, there'll be trouble. Furthermore see to it that the settlers don't needlessly provoke the blacks. We don't want another rebellion on our hands. I want you to immediately drop 1 paracommando regiment into the disputed zone and tell them to set up locations for bunker and fort construction. Also I want them to hold all key bridges and roads leading into the disputed zone. I will announce our intent to annex the zone in a few hours."
