Magdha In Turmoil!!!!!

Magdha
12-05-2004, 03:12
Four Rajahs (Major nobility of Magdha) reclined upon cushions next to the short silver table loaded with delecacies of Magdha. Servant girls entered over and over, refilling the table of its delights. The Rajah of the Tributary of Burma then Spoke: "The old fool Ashoka left his cowardly son on the Peacock Throne, he will do nothing to increase the size of the Magdhan realm...."
Rajah Prafaul Bidwai of the Deccan, second son of the Maharajah spoke next: "If I had ascended the throne Magdha would conquer all the rest of Burma and Sri Lanka. My father lost his mind when he put Chandragupta on the throne instead of me!!!"
The Rajah of the Indus spoke next: "How do you expect to change this system?"
The elderly Rajah of the Panjab quieted them with a few simple words: "We must use treasonous means."

"Excellent" ,said Rajah Prafaul, "We must bring forth our loyal elements in the army, then we can storm Varanasi and install me as Maharajah.

The Rajahs nodded in agreement.

The Rajah of Burma added a far more sinister part to this plan: "First let us settle a score with the old fool in Ayodhya Palace."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ayodhya Palace, Home of Maharajah Asoka

The Burmese assassins shoved their picks upward, the tunnel had been prepared for the past year for just such an occasion. The ground above the tunnel collased and as planned they entered into the walled off Palace Courtyard.

Security was lax here, most of the Royal guard were stationed in the Harem where the Maharajah spent his days in the company of his concubines. There was however a lone man in a tower above them, he was manning a 50 caliber minigun and would pose a threat for the five assasins.

It was not a problem however. The sniper uncased his M40 Sniper, aimed and fired a round clean into the guard's head. The silenced weapon gave no sound except for a small metallic clink. The team then pulled out the demo charges and AK-47's.

They snuck up to the stone wall which hid the harem from the courtyard. They placed a small bock of C4 there and dashed to their predetermined positions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The wall exploded in a flurry of debris, decapitated limbs and heads littered the ground and before the smoke cleared the squad opened fire. The royal guard and women in the harem were shaken by the explosion and the bullets mercillesly cut them down. But the Maharajah was nowhere to be found. Suddenly royal guard poured into the courtyard and opened fire with their M-16s killing the would be assassins.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Announcement to Magdha and the World:

"Today a viscious terrorist attack against my father was fortunatley averted. My father was not in the place the Assassins thought he would be and a disaster has been averted.

However, this deed has left 30 royal guard and other palace staff dead and will not go unpunished since we have determined the attackers were working for our tributaries, the Burmese.

We have thus decided to mobilize our army for a short, decisive victory which will make Burma our territory.

We hope the international community agrees with our action"

Maharajah Chandragupta of Magdha.

We hereby thank our Allies in TBD for their support.

Maharajah Chandragupta of Magdha.

Rajah Prafaul Bidwai eyed the clock. It was time for the operation to commence. He picked up the phone and called the other conspirators. "The most loyal divisions have left, you have done well my friend".

The conspirators in turn called their loyal Ksatryas (Minor nobility) and told them them to proceed. The Ksatryas in the army immediatley told their divisions to march to Ayodhya.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
III Corps: Across the Ganges from Ayodhya:

The Corps' artillery set itself by the river and aimed for military targets in the city. Tanks began to move into the outskirts of the city.

The garrison commander radioed the General of the III corps, "Ranvi, what are you doing?"

When he recieved no response he radioed Ayodhya palace and told them to move the old Maharajah to the mountain fortress in the Himalayas by helicopter.

"This is Tango-10 Alpha, Burnsian Military Transport. Requesting permission to land," said the pilot of the C-135. The aircraft had been flying for 24 hours straight, refueled by KC-130s and NutriGrain bars.

"You are cleared to land," said the tower, obviously tired as well.

Thank you for your troops to assist us, however we must ask that you rondez-vous with our II Corps en route to Ayodhya to relieve the siege on our capital and to avoid allowing the city and its WMD stocks to fall into enemy hands.

Good news: The Burmese forcese have been defeated in a quick blitzkrieg and surrendered, our forces are mopping up resistance.

Maharajah Chandragupta of Magdha.

IV Corps, the Indus Valley-

General Shankar moved his forces to the city of Karachi, within that city was a single infantry division. The city would fall quickly and with it so would the 3 ICBMS within it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

308th Infantry Division, Karachi:
The commander of the 308th went from house to house calling every able bodied man to grab their guns and uniforms to join them.

Houses were boarded up and stationary heavy weapons were placed on roofs, ready to destroy the invading forces.

ViZion, though disappointed that Magdha pulled out of ViZion, disagreeing with our stance on Jarridia, will not stand around idle and let agressive men take power by cruel means and for cruel reasons.

We are preparing a small number of our Special Forces to help in hunting down, and taking out those who are in the ring to take over Magdha.

Magdha, 500 Rangers, 500 Deltas, and some of our top investigators will be leaving tomorrow (NS time that is... RL, in about 20 minutes).

Thank you, I was afraid you would not lend a hand.

Please note that Jarridia and us signed a Document saying we would support each other. I see asolute monarchy as legitimate so I did not deem him an enemy.

We are glad you support us and we will do the same if you require.

Maharajah Chandragupta of Magdha.

The III corps artillery unleashed a storm of shells upon the central hospital of Magdha and other civillian targets. The 105mm shells smashed into the apartments and hospital grounds killing and maiming nearly all the patients and doctors within. A white phosphous cloud then came out of the shells in the civillian areas, within seconds people were running around or throwing themselves off roofs or balconies to try to put the fire out.

The General of III corps then gave his tanks the signal and within minutes the MBTS had entered the suburbs of Ayodhya. The tanks randomly fired their 120MM cannons at apartments, offices and innocent passerby unfortunate enough to be near the street. The Infantry fighting vehicles followed, loaded with soldiers.

For the purposes of this RP it is owned by one of my tributaries who decided to make an act of war.

OOC: Burma, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh would have a combined population far larger then your current NS one.

The Maghdan empire has been on shaky terms with the Daylami empire in the past, but as almost-neighbors (my closest territory being Tajikistan) we will hope to quell the rebellion.

We can provide air support with several wings of A-10 and Apache aircraft, and we will also send an additional thousand Türüks via copter to help stabilize Burma and your capital.

Update:

The General of IV corps prepared to lay seige to the city when his assistant came to him.

The assistant said a simple phrase: "Don't try this again"
and with that he shot his commander with his colt 1911.

He ran to the radio and gave one command:
"Abort NOW"
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

III Corps General sat in his halftrak surveying damage done to the holy city, he smiled as he saw women and children running and he ordered his gunner to kill them.

"I'm sorry sir, but the Maharajah gave me a different target. And He pays better." He pulled out his Mp-5 and unloaded a clip into the General.

Orders were sent out fast, the troops stood down. There was a general amnesty for all soldiers except for those who attacked civillians. They would be punished.

Even if we disagree with a nations past stances, we do not let nations struggle thru problems such as this. (unless the current government supported terrorism, committed, genocide, or was quite imperialistic.. which isn't you...) We offer our aid.
