This is James O Shea of the Notquiteaplace New Corporation on the evening news reporting on the latest developents in this dangerous world.

The latest claims of nuclear technology and nuclear weapons programs of various states have caused much fear in the citizens of Notquiteaplace lately and many have been petitioning the government for action. It prompted this reply from the minster for defence Edward Irneshaw.

"Citizens of Notquiteaplace this world is indeed a dangerous place, but it always had been. We will not be undertaking a nuclear weapons reasearch program at this time. We do not see nuclear capability as the way to protect ourselves, but instead as a way of putting ourselves in danger. It is also far to costly for a small nation such as ourself to undertake. However we realise that in these times some reaction is necessary. We do not wish to be seen as threatening to other countries and so have taken careful action to ensure our safety without increasing our offensive capability. "

In a later speach The minister said that the technology had been a project on the agenda for the last few years and that more developements may follow using new radar technology.

Rumours that the system will be sold to other countries were later confirmed when a meeting between the Irondin and Notquiteaplace diplomats occured, our reporter was allowed access and has footage of this also.

"We would confirm that we wish for this world to be a safe place for everyone and will sell this technology to anyone wanting it, the exaxt specifications and price will follow when we decide to do so, but our neighbours the Irondin will have first the offer."

Indeed it is a dangerous world we live in but at least we know precautions are being made to keep us safe. More information as we find more. And now to Lower Redtor where we have an interesting story about a heroic cat. (ends)
