"By order of the Senate of the Constituional Republic of Rotovia, by way of the Cretian Affairs (Amendment VII) Act; the former anthem of the Island of Crete entitled Glory be to Crete he henceforth banned. The tune, lyrics, in part or whole, as well as the theme is hereby banned from being performed, played or distributed in an forum or medium within the borders of the Constituional Republic (Mainland) of Rotovia, The Island of Crete or any subordinate territories. Any person foudn in violation of this Act will find themselves under fine in an amount between $33,000 - $1,000,000 on top of a maximum 12 month prison term.

The phrases include "...we will rise against the oppressors" "The Rotovians would challenge us, but we will send those dogs into the sea" "There is no honour in their [the Senate's] laws" and "Crete will be free".
This law comes into immediate effect pending the completion of this broadcast"

Hattia condemns this suppression of free speech. The Hattian government allows songs and such that are hostile to the government (There aren't that many.) and our government is quite stable and there is very little civil unrest. Instead of banning songs, why doesn't Rotovia look after it's citizenry better. It is a better solution to solving civil unrest.

To the Right Honourable Speaker of the Rotovian House, greetings.
I must inform you that His Holy Majesty's Government finds these reports of suppression of free speech to be disturbing.
While we have yet to formulate a response to this development, we are concerned about your actions, and must inquire as to your motives; to put it bluntly, why have you banned this song?
Your help in this matter would be most useful.
Archbishop Alexius Vasard, Macisikani Ambassador to Rotovia.

This represents and inresting facit of Rotovian Politics whereby we operate under a Multi Party System inwhich four major parties make up the bulk of the Senate. There has been no offical word from the leading Liberal Party of Rotovia or the President, however Lord Powers indicated it was in response to the use of the offencive Anthem to rally military forces against Rotovia in our last conflict with the region"

Dear Dr. Cartangdam
For the bill to be law, it must have passed your Senate, and, as far as I understand, have been signed by your president. Therefore the majority of the sitting members of your Senate must have supported the bill. I am afraid that until this law is repealed, we must assume that is has the consent and approval of the majority of your government, and is your official government policy.
His Holy Majesty's Government wishes me to register our formal protest over your actions; while we acknowledge your concerns on security, we feel that this action is extreme.
Archbishop Alexius Vasard, Macisikani Ambassador to Rotovia.

*bangs head on desk* Evil double posts.
To the Honourable Archbishop Alexius Vasard,
Until such time as the Island of Crete is free from a radical minority would seem fit to convert the peace loving state into a communist tyranny we cannot risk the lives of Rotovian soldiers or Cretian Citizens.
It is always a sad day when one must choose between the rights of the minority and the lives of the majority, however those of us serving in public office swore to protect the lives of Rotovian Citizens, and oath we must live by.
At current the Act remains in full effect, though has not yet been made publically available due to an error with the priniting companey used by the Rotovian Government. His Eminency mainatain's that whilst he did infact sign the statute it was with a heavy heart and with the full backing of the Rotovian Senate."
