Lammashta

This is Tom Broke-All reporting...
It had been quite some time since Lammashta had declared its plans for an orbit-based nuclear missile launch vehicle. Having had several deals turned down or mysteriously vanish, spies had been embedded into the governments of several known superpower nations. The technology they retrieved was amazing. They transmitted it to The Republic via longwave, since it was an outdated method of communication, and therefore the victim governments never thought to monitor it.
Based on this data, Lammashta began constructing the system, and today the launch vehicle for the satellite - based on an old Saturn V rocket design - as well as the vehicle for the missile and maintenance crew are both being constructed at an undisclosed launch site deep within the heart of the Republic. The relatively small military has made availible just some of the abilities of "Fire from Heaven" They weren't terribly specific, but they did say that the satellite is equipped with rockets to maneuver it into any position desired and is fitted with optics that can center within 2 feet of a rupee on a busy crowded street.
This data is transmitted to the missile through a high speed serial port, and the missiles own high powered optics ensure that it does not miss its target. The missile itself has a more limited fuel supply than that of conventional missiles and ICBMs, because all the thrust that's needed is to get it set in motion and to stabilize it on its journey to the intended target. Currently the warhead payload is speculated to carry a 20 megaton yield, but this has not been confirmed. Back to you in the studio, Pat!
