Daylam

As many nations may already know, the nation of Daylam has begun experimenting with revitalizing cavalry as an effective force on the battlefield. Horses can go where no tank can, and they can do it faster and cheaper. This has been so from the beginning of warfare to the end of WWI. We wish to continue that tradition.
So, nations of the world, we give you the Kok Türük regiments.
These are hardened cavalrymen, armed with M-16s, pistols, and sabers, with one crucial modification: they AND their horses are nearly covered in Kevlar armor. Kevlar armor covers the flanks, side, and rear of the horse along with the chest and head of the horseman. We do realize this is expensive but we think it will bear fruit as a project soon.
The Kok Türük (which means "Blue Turk" and refers to an ancient Turkish empire) are men drawn from the Central Asian Turkic peoples. They are able to ride a horse before they walk and they are expert in their use. At the age of 13 they lead their horses and begin weapons training with rifles, pistols, and sabers. They are the elite corps of the Daylami Army. The Kok Türük have been highly effective in the acquisitions of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Krygyzstan, and East Turkestan (Xinjiang province of China). They have proven themselves time and time again.
The Daylami government may permit hiring out of Türük divisions but remains the sole copyright owner for Cavlar (name for cavalry armor, simply Kevlar on horses).
